I just finished reading the manhwa today and it’s so amazing, I really enjoyed the story so I’m hoping this can be loyal to the original plot considering how high quality it looks. Can’t wait till February!!
Can we talk about Pran and Pat’s discussion of their sexualities and Pa making fun of the typical BL troupe of “I’m straight but I like you”. That was such a small scene but it made me so happy to see it. This is reason number 92802 why Aof is the best director of BL series ever lmao. I love his works so much and they keep getting better and better.
Well I did not expect that ending lmao. I’m honestly really nervous for next week but on the plus side it’s looking more and more likely that InkPa will become a ship so that’s a huge plus. Excited to see the supportive sister and friend in episode 9.
That was such an amazing first episode. I knew from the very second the Not Me trailer was released that this would potentially be one of my new favourite BL series and episode 1 definitely reaffirmed this. Honestly I was a little concerned going into this because every time I’ve had high expectations for a series, the final result ended up letting me down (some examples of this are Oxygen, Dark Blue Kiss, 2gether, Love By Chance 2, etc). I think the only 2 series I went into with high expectations while airing that didn’t let me down was Manner of Death and We Best Love. I’m hoping they can keep the quality high and consistent throughout the series, and I’m impatiently waiting for the next episodes.
Should I watch this while it's airing or should I wait til all eps are out?? DECISIONS DECISIONS!
You should do the same thing I do. Convince yourself that you will wait till all the episodes are out then binge watch the series. Then tomorrow, after you have convinced yourself to wait, head onto YouTube, see the episode in English sub come up on the YouTube recommendation list, then get so impatient and tempted by it that you watch it anyway lmao.
I had the same thought... Even if not on purpose, Wai is the factor that brought Pat and Pran closer (their 1st…
Same, I honestly thought Wai and Korn were going to be a side couple. I am questioning that a little more now, but the only thing I really hope is that we get InkPa as a couple, I would love to see a good, healthy GL side couple for once!
Okay, so in today’s episode I think it’s a given we’re all not liking Wai’s manipulation of Pran. My theory for future episodes is that Wai is going to find out that Pran and Pat are dating, maybe from a photo Pat posts on IG, or maybe he accidentally walks in on Pran and Pat being all romantic together. Considering Wai dislikes/hates Pat, he may likely feel betrayed that his best friend is dating his ‘enemy’. We know from an earlier episode that Pran said Wai has been to his house, and that his family really like Wai. What if he decides to get ‘revenge’ by telling Pran’s parents about his relationship with Pat and outing him? Aof has already hinted that Wai is not a good person, so I feel like their relationship is going to get exposed because of Wai, this may be a little far fetched but I feel like the only way Pran’s family would find out about their relationship is that way, or Pran actually telling them, something which I doubt he will have the courage to do just yet. I just hope if things do go the way I hope, Wai won’t get some big redemption arc and they will treat outing someone as the serious issue it is.
tbh i was first a wai defender cuz i thought he was just being protective of pran and was wishing that he didn't…
Same, I really liked Wai in episode 1 but I saw comments that Aof, the director of the series, made hinting towards Wai not being a good person which I think the manipulation in ep 7 was about exposing his true colours. My biggest fear right now is that Pran already said Wai knows his family and his mum likes Wai, what if Wai finds out that Pran and Pat are dating and he is the one who outs them to his parents? Considering Wai’s behaviour and hatred of Pat I can see it going this way, but I will genuinely be furious if that happens.
The more episodes that get released the more I absolutely fall in love with this series. If the quality of this drama and PranPat’s chemistry continues I have no doubt this will make it to my top 10 favourite BL series.
Question: If you watch the trailer you can see one of the boys (I’m guessing they may be a side couple) at 2:46 minutes in, after he pushes the other one over he makes a hand signal that means “Leave me alone”. Did anyone else notice this and do you think there is a chance he may be deaf? It’s such a small thing but I would be so happy to see something like this in a BL drama as I’ve only ever seen a deaf character once in a Japanese BL. Idk maybe it’s just wishful thinking but I’m hoping I may be right.
I have absolutely no words that can describe the intensity of that final scene, it was pure raw emotion that made the scene so incredible. I’m honestly speechless at the chemistry between Ohm and Nanon, they really delivered this episode.
I wholeheartedly agree! I'm always hoping for a GL side couple in BL and I always ship the girls with each other...I…
Agreed, I’m a lesbian and love when we get representation in BL series. There’s also a criminally low amount of GL series out there which is why I’m excited for series like GAP to be released which is apparently a good budget upcoming GL drama finally.
Honestly Nanon is one of the best actors GMMTV has and I’m constantly blown away with his acting abilities. Ohm is amazing as well but that final scene in this week’s episode made me love Nanon even more than I already did.
I already loved Suzuki and fell in love with Inukai after his role in Absolute BL so I’m really excited to see them here! I’m gonna see if I can read the manga soon!
you sound exactly how i was when i started watching this incredible series. i couldn’t process how good this…
It was absolutely incredible, I just finished I Promised You The Moon yesterday as well and I’m still overwhelmed. The whole series was absolutely perfect and honestly there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about it (though I’m honestly not a fan of Teh, I think Oh-aew deserved better) but seriously, Nadao wasn’t messing around with the production of this drama. This is one of my favourite series overall now!
just like a tale of thousand stars i wish we will have great second half and final too ... this story and this…
Yeah, one good thing about Aof is that he’s actually an openly gay director so at least he knows how to get a realistic relationship right. Also I’ve loved every single one of his works so hopefully there is nothing to worry about.
The more episodes that get released the more I absolutely love this series. I really hope that GMMTV won’t pull another 2gether where they start with an amazing series which completely falls apart in the second half, leaving a lot of people to forget the good parts of the series. Considering that Bad Buddy has an amazing cast with great chemistry I’m hoping that won’t be the case, but it honestly wouldn’t surprise me at this point. Ohm and Nanon did a great job this episode and next week looks really exciting!
