Because of the where WKS responses to how Long talk about Zhen (may have spell it wrong) family and his father. If you watch again, ZZS know WKS was a son of one of families involved in the incident 20 years ago, but he thought WKS maybe Rong’s son, but WKS keep on have a bad reaction to Rong’s name, when it was mention. So he originally thought WKS was mad at his father, but he figure when Long talk about WKS family, that way he put his hand on his shoulder in eps 19 and then hug him in ep 20

So I post the YouTube version of this reaction video from the British guy n family before, I guess it was edited and this the full version and we to see Rob (who talk over camera). He now my favorite reviewer. Also there link is to follow-up video about the brothers fighting if ZZS is being to mean to WKS. It was hilarious.

Add to @dee100 comment, ZZS is the master (lord) of the four season manor sect (clan), he took the whole clan to form the original window of heaven, which is why he was the leader (also sometime call master) of window of heavens too. But as the first episode said, he is only remaining original member left. So the present members of window of heaven are not members of four season manor and is only loyal to the leader of window of heaven, which he is not him anymore because he give up the title to leave.

^.^ I come to broad to talk about this show at less till May 5, because my sister is waiting for it international version to end before watching it, you guys the only I share and talk about the show without spoiling it for my other family members who is behind. The Cuz just started. I can’t even show them crack video, so I have being stock piling them to show to them later when they caught up.

I have being watching the YouTube one as it was release, and this explains why I thought I don’t remember WKY hugging back....^_^ when I first saw this. This was what I hoping but worry will not get - because YouTube is outside of China they do this edit. Similar to the what WeTV did for the untamed, they can’t show the special edit of the untamed in China, but they can on their international app and site. So I guessed since Yuoku app is not international, they have to do their edited video that won’t pass censorship on their YouTube channel. But instead of going back like WeTV, they must have decided to edit it as they release it. So finger crossed that they give us the full HE ending and make it official for international view, instead of an extra. If they do that I don’t mind waiting for a month for the finale. \(^0^)/ LoVe you, Youku.

The 1St episode is really confusing....so the show started with telling how Wei Ying died and then jumped sixteen year later, when Mo Xuan Yu (died off screen ...the feet guy) give up his life and body to heal Wei Ying ( plot hole: they never tell how mo got his body and where it have being from sixteen). The Price for heal/ being him back, Wei Ying has to seek revenge on Mo’s enemy, which are his aunt, uncle cousin and “mystery person”..that you will find out after solving the mystery of Wei Ying’s original down fall. If Wei Ying doesn’t do this then the wound on his arm will never heal and he can died from it. Because the Mo guy for the past 14-16 years was not mentally sound and wear a masked all the time, the Mo family doesn’t really know what he look like as adult. So Wei ying decided to take his identity for now. At the same, they introduced you to the “Junior league or puppy patrol..etc” ( that we fan like to call them) from the Lan Clan ( which is the same clan as Lan Zhen, the other main lead, the guy who try to save him sixteen year ago, their relationship is major part of this story). Well, the junior group was call by Mo clan because they were having problems with ghost/monster in the area. These clans in this show are like monster/ghost/villain catching cop of the world. Because they are junior they are not powerful enough to fight the ghost sword that came because of “ghost flag” which is used to call ghosts in the surrounding area to the one courtyard for they to fight. So they called for help from their “dad” lan Zhen, who Wei Ying isn’t ready to see again. He tried to solved the problem before lan Zhen came, but he was to late. Lan Zhen show up and he hideaway. At the same, there is a shadowy figure, who set up everything from story teller, who told Wei’s story to convincing Mo to give his life for revenge and send the ghost sword to Lan Zhen and Wei Ying. So the ghost sword end up killing the aunt, uncle and cousin, so Wei Ying just need to find and kill the fourth person. So this set episode two to three, which introduce more second generation characters and reintroduced Wei’s generation characters. Then they do flashback that basically explains everything and jump back to present. -if you have any questions drop me email ^.^ the world building is massive in this story.

^.^ she became one of my favorite when I saw the BST video, where the actors for Beauty ghost and scorpion king practicing their scene and she was bored just sitting there, so she start taking selfie with the candle....this just increased her favorable to me...

I think in ZZH’s POV of ZZS, he (ZZS) at the beginning of the show would rather live 3 years of wandering then a lifetime in comfort at window of heaven. However, at the end of show, in away he give up his freedom to spend eternity with the man he love, which I think the actor partly think is bittersweet. He partly felt that ZZS should have kept on being a wander with WXS and CL , and not be the “person left behind”.
I think in away the name change from A tales of wander to word of honor is appropriate. In the book, they didn’t end in the snowy mountain or have to keep circulating their power to keep other alive and master the yin yang manual. The show is all about keeping their promises to each other ( for the characters) those that break it had horrible ending.

I read somewhere ZZH said that he usually started in drama with sad ending, so I guess he assume this would the same. Since he shot two ending and they (the actor) doesn’t know, which is the ending. He may got confused and the interview could take place before the release of the extra with the official ending. Didn’t either Wang Yibo or Xaio Zhan also thought that the ending of the untamed was them standing at waterfall, not with lan Zhen calling Wei ying off camera and he turn to look at him. If you shoot many scenes within a short point they can forget, I guess.
The “illusion” ending is bad ending version....hopefully that never get see the light of day. I don’t mind combining the two ending, with the confusing “surprised “ look from ZZS, at long the last scene is the happy ending.

So I love watching reaction video or people’s first take or impression of what the story is about in a CN drama from non-Asian, who are may not know what xianxia or wuxia is. But this one take the cake for me....I love the son reaction to father take on it. I laughed so hard and ...the brother’s theory.

So they filmed two ending. 1. bad ending, where WKX died that ZZS was surprised to see him come out of the cave. but i turn it was hallucination. 2. Happy ending, WKS survived and he and ZZS have been living in the snowy mountain next to the mountain with the four season manor. So when they release the special episode, they edited the two ending together. The beginning is from the sad ending, which is why ZZS look surprised then happy, the ending part from the happy ending version. I was confused too and thought maybe WKX was in coma all those years and he finally woke up, but it turn out just combined of the two ending. This mean the Director, producer and script writer want a happy ending for the two characters, but had to figure out way around the censorship. They make two ending, but didn’t end used either in the finally 36 episode because if they add the HE version, it would get rejected, if they had the sad ending they would piss off the viewer. So they did the open ending, with clue pointing to a happy ending. Because once you get approved by the censorship, you can’t go back into the video and add new material, you can only take out material or change small wording. So when they release the final video, they can only release the new “special” episode as an extra.
