I love this pairing.

I really don't care about the FL's biological family. The nephew is fine because he appears for like a few minutes and then we don't see him again for numerous episodes. I just don't understand why the writer keeps pushing the biological family into the story. I would rather see scenes of the FL with the man who actually raised her.

And the writing has been deteriorating for a while. If the drama wasn't almost done and Seven wasn't one of my favorite actresses, I would have dropped this. The initial premise is what drew me in, but they keep detouring from that.

*And to the people that camp out in these comments to berate people who have valid criticism for this drama, save your breath. I don't care. I said what I said.*

I'm loving all these dramas coming out taking place between the 70's-90's.

You're right I shouldn't go back and forth. I didn't realize how passionate some of these people are about any sort of critiques to this drama.

I just read your comment and I agree with everything you said.

First off, college is never a waste, and second off, maybe you should read the synopsis because she's going back to college regardless. I don't know what you want me to do? The thought of college seems to make a lot of you people pressed.

You're doing too much. And yes I am hung up on wanting her to college and still find the FL annoying, what about it? I said what I said. Disagree all you want. I'm watching the same drama as you and this is how "I" feel about her.

I'm caught up, and at this point, I'm officially annoyed with the FL. Since she's dropped out of college, every single episode since then has been someone (mostly Gao Xiang and her father) urging her to go back to college and get her degree. In the begining I understood her plight after her horrible experience, but overtime, I've become annoyed with her for completely resisting as if it's the worst thing in the world. Which is odd considereing she'll risk everything on making it big to the point of becoming bankrupt and the potential of going to prison, but is pissed at the idea of anyone mentioning her going back to school for higher education.

And the thing is, she constantly makes these big mistakes over and over again. In no universe should an assistant have the ability to sign off on an agreement that huge. No offense, but that's actually grounds for jail time.

And another thing that bothers me about the FL is that Gao Xiang and her father go the extra mile for her but she's been the nastiest to them out of everyone and I don't understand exactly why.

This drama gives soft love. It's very slow burn but I'm not mad at it. The ML is a complete gentleman and the FL is so smart and resilient. The FL made the ML's life miles better. She constantly got him out of hardships and propelled his career, and I appreciated him always thanking her and putting her first, even if it meant letting her go.

I think the storyline was entertaining; the only thing I didn't really care for was the grandma arc. We could have scrapped a few episodes of that mess but overall a decent watch and I love the 80's vibe.

I did not like it as much as the first season. Maybe I should have read the source material because I was quite surprised to see Feng Bao Bao and Zhang Chu Lan with such little screentime. They were basically support because the entire focus was on Ma Xian Hong and Chen Duo. And don't get me wrong I think the Chen Duo storyline was not bad but also not what I was expecting. There was virtually no humor this season and I was vastly disappointed.

Her scream during that 50-second teaser gave me chills. Yang Zi is such a phenomenal actress. I can't wait for this to air.

Staying in that house after being told both father and son have escaped is just pure madness. You're asking to be shot at/killed.

The FL has a good heart, but I'm going to need her to never send money to her relatives in the mountains again; even though her nephew and his mom are the exception, the rest are greedy and undeserving.

And episode 8 was just sad. I had a feeling it'd happen but I still wished it didn't.

It's not as prominent because there's been a time jump, so the scar doesn't look as severe as it would have been if it were fresh. In episode 7&8 look at Kim Geon's U's cheek scar. It isn't as grotesque as it once was. I think you will for sure be able to see his scars better in the bar scene with Choi Si Won's character because he pulls up his shirt and shows the other men.

I just finished watching the show and he did have scars on his body. He lifted his shirt to show it and the other men were disgusted. They even added in the fact that his liver is ruined and he can't even drink anymore because of being stabbed.

I was kind of iffy if I wanted him to still be in the drama because he did pretty much ruin her life but as long as she defeats him at every single turn then I'm all for it. The writer did a good job writing him because I really hate his guts.

The number of times I cried just watching the first five episodes. The way being with the wrong man can just change the whole trajectory of one's life. I feel for the FL.

I don't even need to check and see if this drama was written by a woman, you can tell. All the women in this drama are written exceptionally well. Hong, Nora, Bok Hui, Mi Sook, even Nora's mother (divorcing the father and removing her daughter from a toxic environment--kudos to mama). No woman on this show is weak; they all have their strengths in their own way, and for that, I applaud the writer.

What a phenomenal drama. The leads had so many pitfalls and things thrown their way, but they never became vindictive. They kept a positive outlook, and karma hit the people who deserved it.

It's not terrible, but it's not great either. So, even if the script isn't the greatest, if you're in the mood for that nostalgic rom-com feeling, then this suits the theme perfectly.

This is also the first drama I've watched with Jisoo, so I was perplexed by the comments about her acting. I think her acting was fine. The only thing I didn't care for was her character in most of the drama, but that had nothing to do with her as an actress.
