Anyone knows how it works with these actor/actress management? I keep seeing Xu Kai starred in certain dramas with a bunch of same people. If I see list of Xu Kai dramas, he is always with same group of people playing supporting roles. I know someone explained to me before that they are under the same company, but I don’t see this with other actors. Luo Yunxi, Zhao lusi etc, they always star new dramas with new set of people.
So, I wonder why in Xu Kai case, it looks like ‘group’ starring…

Haha. Actually every time I watch too many c drama, I would look in the mirror and feel why there are so many flaws in my face! The actress (and actors) in the c drama don’t even have pores, they look like a smooth white paper on screen, haha. Then, I will pick a hollywood movie from netflix…see the actress are so realistic with freckles, wrinkles, pores, big arms and thighs…then I feel better…

I dun think so. I read somewhere that she admitted she didn’t have the right look to star in ancient or historical set up, and even the director (or producer or whatever it is called) said that they intentionally cast someone unusual to stand true to ‘acting’ itself. Because there have been too many talented actress lost the opportunity in their career just because the usual c drama only cast those on the general beauty standard (especially costume drama). So, I think ZDY is fully prepared for this whole bad talks…

Actually I don’t know why people hate Wu Huan so much? At least from what I watched so far, I dunno what she did other than accidentally killed Yuemi? But her intention was to kill Tianqi to gain reward, and that was just because she was tricked by snow goddess, no? I get the feeling that she is much more evil in the book (and maybe will be shown later in the next episodes), but at least up to this point, I only remembered her lying about Yuemi death. Did she do anything else?
Also, can somebody explain, before that chaos, I remember only Gu Jun has ascended to be god. Then how come Wu Huan became god? I thought the god realm is gone after the chaos and nobody else can go into the tribulation to become god…and when the 3 of them escaped the chaos, only Gu Jun has become god, no?

It’s the typical gender issue. Most of the time, female actress will be attacked more than male…even in this industry, people set up high standard for FL and if you don’t meet it, they will slander you. Male got it too, but usually for a shorter period and less harsh…

I am reading it. I read last year up to chapter 149 then the translation got really bad and I couldn’t take it. A while ago someone so kind send me the epub version and I downloaded it to my kindle and translation is good. So, now I am reading up to chapter 190…

Me too! I underestimated this drama and only started watching while waiting for ALP new episodes because I just like to see Xu Kai. Not a game lover, but surprisingly it is very entertaining to watch their gameplay! Wondering if this is a real game or they created this game for just the drama?

Yeah, I’m posting this question for fun, and be mindful about spoiler…because I need to have some discussion over this while waiting…otherwise, the waiting is just unbearable, help me please….

I saw your synopsis! I think this book is very difficult to be put into screen. I found it hard to follow especially if there are time travel aspect of it. So, without the help of a good synopsis, if I don’t read the book, I might be lost watching the show…

I wonder if anyone here who has read the novel can give a better synopsis to this drama…I only read 50% of the novel and the synopsis above just doesn’t justify the story, haha…

Haha, I think we are normal. Her look is really not the typical goddess look, and the fact that she is so tiny, all those big elegant glamorous clothings just swallow her in so they can’t really use such massive clothing to her as well. I am a bit neutral to her acting, still wait and see, probably haven’t seen massive emotional scene yet to see her acting skill…

I feel the same, and I think a lot other people think so because I heard there are many comments slandering her. But I won’t slander her just because her physical look doesn’t meet my expectation, everyone has different preference anyway. But I admit it is hard to relate since the drama positioned her as beauty and elegant, but her look just doesn’t fit. But I heard the book doesn’t position her that way, but more like average which fits better.
