Anyway, my all time favourite "The story of Minglan (2017)", "A dream of splendor" is also okay (typical annoying conclusion), "A girl like me"
If you want old, flat feel good dramas then "new life begins" and "chef Hua"

I just started watching this, and I'm almost done with EP 1, but please someone tell me that the ML doesn't remain as comically dumb as he is now. I feel brain cells dying by the minute.
From missing the criminal in the first place (more his Superior's fault, but he should have been able to subdue him), to that terrible stakeout and then going to the fancy dinner in a very old team suit. A hoodie would have been better for that.
Anyway, I love the concept of athletes in the system after their career. Most dramas show them either becoming coaches or opening a store and not everyone can do that so the concept is nice. And Kim So Hyun is literally the only person who can make me watch an ongoing kdrama these days.
I just don't like that I'm having to convince myself so much to give the drama a chance from EP 1

I watched to EP 32 properly, then I watched EP 34 to the first 30 minutes of EP 36.
Then went back and watched EP 33 and finally the last 10/15 minutes of the show
Please don't judge me🫣
I just wanted the show to end on a high note for me.

I think he just wanted an excuse to punish him/use him as an example

I just imagined FL got a fever or something and dreamt that craziness. Then woke up at EP 33, and we finally have the conclusion at the last 10 minutes of EP 36. Really made a soft landing for myself😂
Can't let even the producers and writers spoil the love I have for this drama

I thought people were exaggerating but the last 2 episodes, EP 34 to EP 36, were like a fevered dream.
I skipped EP 33 and watched it right before the last 10 minutes of EP 36 and it helped me finish the drama on a good note.
A good ending is sure EP 32, an ending with the general saying good bye is fine at EP 33.
There was no need for anyone to get blind, no need for anyone to die, and also no need for another person to loose his arm.
It just feels extremely unnecessary. It would have been dramatic and traumatic enough if they just made one person loose his arm. I actually don't understand what this trauma benefits directors and producers. I can't even blame the writers, cause from the poor writing (even poor direction) you can tell they didn't write that arc with their heart or even brain.
Please do better.
Anyway, still a 10 for me. Cause I researched and shuffled enough to perfect this masterpiece for me.

I just didn't want to end this drama on a sour note and I've been keeping up with the spoilers all the way

Now that I've slept on it, I actually don't mind that they let the peony woman live.
I mean, the last wishes of a dead relative who saved you and you look up to are a big burden. I'm glad they let ML live without having to disappoint that.

You should watch ep 32 at least.
It ended sweet too so you don't have to worry.
And their relationship and bond just had smooth sailing

I just finished ep32 but I've been keeping up with the spoilers.
I kind of wished I hadn't waited and watched the whole thing in real time, but the wait for the next episode might have killed me. Especially 29 to 30.
All the main characters dismissal for that fool uncle started his villain arc, you can tell from the twitch of his eyes 😂
Anyway, I know it's been debated a lot already, but I rather love, and be loved the way Manman loves the ML, much better relationship bond than the one between DQ and BZ.
Manman and ML feel like what we'll probably have more often now in modern time. And a couple that are friends, and actually talk.
DQ and BZ feel so formal for a couple who eloped. And what does she mean he stood guard by the door for months??? Who was sleeping with you Miss? And didn't you want him to sleep too? I think she loved him (he to her too) like you love a child or a pet. By over guarding.
I hated that she didn't tell him about Manman's request until after the battle was long over. Even if it was right after FL left she should have told him then he can decide if he wants to be honourable. Not take away the opportunity from him and start explaining to everyone else that it was her decision not his. Being free, like she so wants him to be also means making choices. And as long as you're human you'll have chains of obligation. Especially if you're a competent human.

I watched this drama mainly cause her face was so ethereal, like an immortal. And all their chemistry is practically in the looks they give each other

I'm so happy she was able to escape unshattered. Sometimes hardworking people get their whole life destroyed based on rumours even if the rumours are proven false.
Happy she's getting even more momentum after overcoming that. Hopefully, her next jobs are bigger

Yes, this has been a very wholesome comment section. I don't think I've noticed any outright bullying. And the drama is so intense and flowing smoothly that there's always a theory or a concept to discuss. Which leaves almost no room for negative people fan wars or stuff

Personally I love to see Manman facing consequences of her actions cause she's smart enough for that. And I agree with you.
This is good writing that doesn't make the character promise unrealistically.

Is it possible for her to get regular drama scripts and act in them? Does the short drama she have add to her CV or the vertical short dramas are a separate industry?
