Love triangle is like my worst drama thrope. I don't understand why you'll be wavering between people for love.
I also can't stand a lead trying to make one jealous for the life of me.

While I love reading how things went down in the novel, I'm convinced that it wouldn't have been a good idea to add them to the drama.
As conservative as cdramas are, if they had the main couple have a child before we found out, people would have been throwing stones. Even with him not consummating here, people were complaining that he slept on the same bed as her. And I also feel double amnesia is too much to work into just 40 episodes. I much prefer the dramas liberty in those areas.

That's probably why ML says she suffered a lot and why the concubines were able to get 8 sons before she got ML, the 9th son. I guess she was big pushover her whole marriage who just kept her head down. ML's intelligence saved her as he matured

I just want to say I'm a positive comment in case anyone was looking for one. I believe this series really deserves it's rating. One of the few series that's not underrated.
Also ep 32 confirms that when a couple have tactic understanding they can practically run circles around whoever has anything against them.
This mother cousin duo should count their losses and target another wealthy man before she misses her prime. They just can't read the room and know when to stop. Hope the mother will smarten up against their schemes now. I can't see what world the cousin thinks she'll have a good life married to ML. He'd obviously favour other wives over her if she forces her way.
Grandfather was out of line in ep 31, but at least he realized his error. Not like the Emperor who also can't count his losses. Sad man. He already has an empress and a consort but can't just take that FL is getting another good man. That's too self absorbed. He doesn't even wish her happiness.

Yeah, the fault is they left too much up for us to assume and guess work. A little more scenes with her longing. We just got the wedding crashing and the game scene. But o well, it'll be over before we know it.

I agree. I don't think LMT has changed per say. It just seems that with her memory back she's more jaded. She understands a bit more about the effects and chockhold politics has on men in power.
After all she has 3 years with Ziyin and he wasn't willing to give it all for her. Why would ML be willing after knowing her for a year or 2.
She doesn't seem to believe he'll be able to marry just her and allow her to live as herself. Because now with the knowledge of the missing 3 years, she's aware that power comes with serious limitations to your will.
That seems to me like why she doesn't want to accept ML back. Not cause of his lack, but the responsibilities that come with his position and with her being less naive that love conquers all and more jaded that things can happen.

I think you're a bit too soft handed on ML. He never started out with malicious feelings sure. Even the very first time. It just coincidentally happened doesn't mean it was not pretence or scheming. Or that the serious lies would hurt less of there were feelings. Especially since FL asked him multiple times to tell her the truth. Also, He Zhen did deliver the message. I think she did well despite not respecting ML again. And we can't blame her. She doesn't know the full story and ML's reasons. I wouldn't really advice a friend to take back a man like ML if I was in her shoes.

She did... She went to see the FL and mentioned that the injury might even lead to paralysis. She also said she heard about it from a servant in the Lord's house so that adds validity.
Also isn't 10 episodes appropriate when he spent over 15 episodes on his scheme?

To add to what the person ahead said, she was introduced to him by FL as a doctor. She later found out his prescription was rubbish so she concluded he was a quack. Decided she didn't trust him from there. Their next meeting her brother was rude to him but her father referred to him as a Lord that's when she realized he and ML pretended to trap FL so more hatred for him from there.
On their journey to deliver provisions and food for the army she realized he was more than the scheming quack she initially assumed that's when they started falling in love.
He sent her back home for her own safety. When he returned back to town her father tried to set them up and her brother trapped them in a room to spoil their reputation and force a marriage. He agreed but she felt hurt that her family valued her so little after ran away.
Effectively embarrassing him when he came with engagement gifts.
Their next meeting in this new arc was right after he mistakenly spoilt her deal with the Lord by causing him to break her vase.

Exactly. They forget that it took ML almost toll ep 13 or so before he finally fell for her.
They've both made it clear that they have feelings. So his chase is to convince her that life as his princess would be as rewarding as life on her own, not to make her fall in love.
Affection is not in question here. it's their different social standing that's the issue. That alone should earn her a pass. And this fact means ML isn't a terrible simp. Even if he was we know the FL was a bigger one at the beginning.
I do wish the direction showed more scenes of her longing.

You all, I love how ML said his decisions have nothing to do with her. She has clearly rejected him. His the one who chose to fight, and convince her. Enough to break a leg apparently. Doesn't make him a simp. Just someone who has considered all ends and made his decision.
Like she said the burden is too much. She can't handle the pressure. Or the drama that comes from falling in love with a man who's marriage is reserved for politics. Doesn't make her an ungrateful or an ingrate.

Now, this episode was so sweet. ML and his doctor friend are hilarious. ML's set up was done flawlessly. No one can fault him for trying to save a child too. With official witnesses

I was so hesitant to watch since I watched ep 22 on Wednesday when I decided to wait for 2 episodes on Friday.
The teasers are almost always edited to give the impression of misunderstandings and unnecessary angst.
The comments here don't help too. I was so scared they added an unnecessary love triangle and damaged the ML's character but that's not the case.
The drama is still as strong and lovely as it's been.
I wish people won't make comments based on teasers, like I've said they're edited with a misunderstanding angle. That's why we have arguments and debates on things that end up being different in the proper context of the episode
