can someone spoil the show for me? I'm on episode 11 mid way after they exit the portal leaving xun ming in his delusions . Situ Ling says "she can't find out my identity?". What is his identity and how does his story play out? I can't keep up with the show things are moving to fast yet seemingly going nowhere in my opinion but I find situ ling to be the most interesting part of the show.
Thats retarded…they’re actors…that’s their job …to act and perform…any role and any nationality….what…
like the problem on this post. Lack of harmony in the flow, people getting offended. We all know something was off. who's disregarding who ? It's just common sense if I wrote a role for a woman i'll cast a woman, if i wrote the role for a chinese character i'll cast someone chinese. I didn't think this was something to go to bat for. Giving people opportunities doesn't mean they're not qualify. There's a checklist someone who fits the description and can give us an accurate portray that would close to what the character is supposed to embody. Like who ever gets the job still needs to be talented. Especially for the semi serious tone of the show, it's not a parody.

You are losing the plot if the role was written for a person whose a foreigner then just cast them well or we see problems arise. If the script calls for my character to be korean , i'm not going to cast an american. Korea has korean nationals that are of foreign decent and the roles that they can apply for is probably less than 2 percent so do you think it's appropriate to write them off even the little job opportunities they have. Koreans are not going to lose their bread and butter just because one or 2 side characters are chinese. Be so foreal there's korean stars and the like in hollywood but should they stop being cast because they'd be taking money from americans? Get it together this rhetoric is concerning.
TBH the chinese dubbing didn't sound right either; it doesn't sound like the chinese from chinese dramas that aside why doesn't korea just hire chinese actors for chinese roles or whatever country people they are supposed to represent, its honestly annoying. Like in brewing love and in my dearest it was koreans playing vietnamese and chinese characters. It's just so odd and makes unnecessary issues. You can't tell me there aren't any chinese aspiring actors living in korea that are waiting for an opportunity? Hopefully this farce doesn't go on too long because with My dearest, it really made me pissed at the show even though it was such a good script.
When he arrives, she does not believe him to be her brother at all.But later he does something which causes her…
the farse doesn't go on for a prolonged time right? I just don't want to watch two people who thought they might have been seriously siblings have a love story.
Episode 23 has me a bit confused, it's not really discussed how Ruoshi pieced the pieces together; that Ziqi is his brother. It's just alluded to unless i missed it and I don't think the bits of what he has seen can make him so sure Ziqi is his brother (we the audience know). The only thing I can remember is him seeing the hairband but I don't see any concrete evidence up to the point of episode 23(from Ruoshi's pov), did i miss something?
I thinking you are missing nuance in the modern usage of a pedophile in the wider internet world, which is accepted…
I think you are purposefully being dense about it's wider usage, maybe you are a doctor but alot of us are not. Language evolves, and words often gain new meanings through colloquial usage before being formally recognized in dictionaries. The reality is that words can shift in meaning and still be considered "correct" if widely accepted over time. I wouldn't reply if this was a medical case but it's not the case so we don't need to be so called "correct". Take shxt for example that word means feces but look out how versatile it has become. I'm not saying you are wrong but i'm saying you are purposefully being dense about the colloquial usage. If using ephebophile will make you happier, i can say KSH may potentially be a ephebophile but doesn't change the fact that in both cases he was potentially sleeping with a minor. There's no need for us to make a distinction in spoken language between : Pedophile – Someone attracted to prepubescent children (typically 12 and under). Hebephile – Someone attracted to early pubescent minors (roughly 11–14). Ephebophile – Someone attracted to older adolescents (roughly 15–19). Because this is not clinical , to us laymen and civilians adults sleeping with any minors all fall under a pedophile umbrella. Pedophile is an umbrella term that encompasses all of these in spoken language. When they try the dude using the legal system i'm sure those professionals will use the proper term.
Please stop using the term pedophile for KSH. Pedophile is defined as someone who is sexually attracted to prepubescent…
I thinking you are missing nuance in the modern usage of a pedophile in the wider internet world, which is accepted to mean a person who is attracted to children / minors. If you look the word up it can just mean someone attracted to children. In the case of KSH who was allegedly dating a 16 year old girl I think the word works just fine. A 16 year old is still a child/minor who cannot consent, if proven true his crimes should be treated with the same severity as others and the label pedophile is just and fitting.
I feel so stupid it literally has ALP as the parent story, I didn't even see it 😭
yeah I'm with you I didn't read the novel so I don't know how true it is to the story but I was excited when I was told this is Yuemi and Tianqi's story but it was completely something else. I have 30 minutes left of the show but compared to ALP this was bit lackluster. I think the tag does help dispel plagiarism accusations though , from personal experience 😅.
All three novels is supposed to be connected, which have a drama adaptation of its own. Ancient Love Poetry is…
maam/sir it wasn't this deep i now see that MDL listed ALP is the parent story, I literally just read the synopsis and went to look for the drama sometimes details can escape us which is why I asked so when i noticed the parallel between the stories I asked. I wasn't aware and had it not been the parent story it would be plagiarizing the character that's why I wanted to get answers, Thank you, I have nothing more to say.
Ancient Love Poetry is the parent story of Moonlight Mystique, written by the same author. ALP is the original…
Thank you so much for this, I haven't gone far along in the show to make the connection but i'm so happy to hear this because it always rubbed me the wrong way, how Yue Mi and Tianqi ended!🥹😊

I just wanted to know because I didn't know about who wrote the story i'm just watching the drama, I didn't read the books so I didn't know the connection. Thank you i guess
