I SO HOPE they don't kill the other kid!!!!! I know there HAS to be a lot of drama next, but I want that kid to survive so that they go off and have their elopement in Wonderland and then go to Laolan Pass together - he wasn't joking when he said he wanted to elope with her.

And now the city is taken - does that make stupid dad the emperor? He's one of the surviving (if not only surviving) sons of the assassinated emperor, the two older sons of his won't let Li Ni get the other grandson as a Crown Heir, and even if Li Ni gives them the empire on a platter, they won't be grateful.

I say we packed them all a nice load of poisonous rouge, shall we?

I try hard no to watch any trailers for future eps, cause I can't wait... but dammit. After Thursday we'll have a long drought...

ETA The trash will really go to the enemies that killed Cui Lin's mom, won't he? And then come back, maybe leading a horde of them against his own country? I mean, traitor once, traitor forever....

I kind of expected the ex-Crown Princess to do that, poor woman, And another major support chara gone. I wanted her in for longer - her son is going to need all the help. Maybe she'll survive *keeping fingers crossed*

All the extras fighting it out were probably either real soldiers or firefighters, LOL, having the time of their lives on set :D

PS This must be the best filmed (cinematography, scenery, scene sets, music, etc) drama of this year, with very small problems in some green screen scenes (very few). Those colours and sets are just amazing!!

Usually I'd watch both eps in one go then comment, but I can't with this one - OMG this was so cute, sooooo cuuuuute!!!!

His EXPRESSIONS - if I didn't know any better, I'd bet he really IS Li Ni and totally, head over heels, love-larger-than-mountains epic love story like in love with her. I'm falling for Xu Kai's eyes. OMG.

This episode it pure love.

And like, ten seconds ago, Cui Lin/He Ying was like - "I'm gonna get my daddy to come and beat you bloody, see if I don't!"
And now she's like: "Kids, when a dark horse and a white horse love each other very, very much..."

1. Heirs. He is the only heir to the kingdom, and the King is not getting younger (or having more MATURE sons if he passes suddenly.) They need to get the heir married so there's an alliance behind him when he inherits (supposedly the wife's family/clan) and he gets to hold on to power (and not die either).

2. There is a faction actively going against the King on this, and they made JungWoo find a way to block any talk of royal marriage. Being the frustrated virgin he is, JungWoo discovered the low rates of marriage (therefore lots of spinsters) in the kingdom and linked it to the drought. So - unmarried women are guilty for bringing in the drought and YET if they marry, who knows what other disasters they'll bring about? Definitely not the auspicious time to marry the heir! LOL.

So when the King finds out who started the whole idea, he plays a punishment game with his unlucky son in law, LOL, and makes him undo what he did by marrying off three unwed older sistes of some noble standing. So now the daughters of the old and faithful royal tutor are the "lucky" spinsters that need to be wed so that everyone sees there's no problem and the HEIR can then get wed too :D

3. The MIL and FIL are part of the faction opposing the King. They don't want to have the heir inherit OR marry and in fact have already picked the successor to the kingdom. So they're basically going to go all out to kill the heir or destroy his marriage, if it ever comes.

4. The minister of defense is MIL's brother, he's part of the same faction. He used to lend grain in times of need and get very high interest, and when the debtors couldn't pay he'd take their young daughters in his house. He's a freaking lecher. And he did so without paying the treasure owed taxes, the idiot, so now he's paying it all out of pocket and he can't even charge interest any more. Serves him right!

5. The MIL had that DIL killed off (maybe) and even got a merit recognition from the royal administration for it. And he's now kind of obsessed with it, seemingly.

TBH... I kind of think the DIL didn't die, but is the actual Lady YeongJu, the one who's identity the FL is borrowing. They (the FL and her husband) had found her heavily pregnant and almost dead on a river bank, and she went and had the little girl later on. I am PRETTY sure her identity could very well be that of the former DIL of the house....

But we'll see.

His dad might've been under the impression that he HAD killed mom and WooHak.... I mean, there are bodies in that water.

And so he took KiHo to the island after he killed those people.

It's BoGeol. WooHak was trying to protect him from Crazy Dad and got hit in the head then lost his memories. BoGeol is the one telling him what went down - he is/was KiHo.

I know, if it were someone I'd loved and I couldn't save them but someone else COULD and just chose NOT to... I'd be going scorched earth.

Then again, he saved them BEFORE and Cui Lin stand-in betrayed that so badly, there is no turning back for the guys to be civil to each other ever again. So she has to see Li Ni's perspective too - his MEN who rescued them died... because fake Cui Lin wanted an easy military win.

She'll get over it, we've all seen the OP and ED LOL.

MokHa dad's body ended up on the same island as her, he's long gone. I think it might be a woman, and I fear it's her identity KiHo's mom got...

I didn't imagine the mom hadn't divorced and changed her identity... OMG what if the identity she took is the one's who's probably dead in that water?

Anyway, I guess finally KiHo decided to push MokHa out on to the scene again - I can't wait for the next week's eps. I hope RanJoo does sing and manages to sound well enough to earn her sells, and that MokHa wins her duel with MoRae. (Who, BTW, sounds a bit too bitter and jaded - RanJoo never did, even in her fall from grace.)

OMG Crazy Dad going through the dashcam videos... I was afraid he'd find one where DaeWoong met KiHo, I guess we're not there yet. And now he's going after the ex-BFF, I bet,. Poor girl.

PS I'm also loving how WooHak IMMEDIATELY went to dad to comfort him... You know that phrase from GOTG that Yondu says? "He might've been your father, but he wasn't your daddy"? That would hit SO HARD in this moment for their family.

There are two guards following TaoZi around, they wouldn't get too far if they tried to escape. She knows it well - and Pei Yuan wasn't kidding when he said the soldiers don't look favourably on anyone from Cui Army any more. She is in real danger if she makes it out from Li Ni's protection and doesn't really know where to run anyway - even if she knows her father's probably coming, she doesn't know where to go yet.

Who's calling him a simp?! He stood there and only protected HER - he let everyone else get offed, and THEN he took her in his power, despite knowing she wants to go. And at the same time he's trying to appease her, he's still not giving in because he knows he has to use her as a hostage.

If that's a simp...

She even burned his rat LOL. And come to think of it - his first love gift is a rat. These guys are... something else.

I loved it though - he didn't defend his (in)action. He wanted to save her, and only her - Cui Lin stand-in was doomed. Good for him!!

She's pouting a bit too long though. Yeah he misunderstood, but then he came and tried to clear it up. And he doesn't actually OWE her to forgive Cui Lin stand-in and save him again - why would he? To allow him another chance at betrayal?

So He Ying moping like that for weeks kind of bugs me. Let's see where the pretense takes her, though. And what counter-measures did Li Ni prepare - is he ready to let her "escape"?

Well, that proves it - Li Ni is NOT a vegetarian, LOL.

Though, no body, no death. Drama, I won't be fooled!

And on that line of thought - if I am not fooled, I guess their little theatre at "forviging" him doesn't fool Li Ni either. Right? Right?....

He let the cuteness out in ep4, LOL. So cute, what with the mini panic attacks (what, is he afraid of closed spaces?) and needles (...errr, I'll give him that) and hiding behind her all the time hahaha!

And now he's in the middle of a festival dedicated to PDAs LOL, he's going to have a totally nuclear MELTDOWN!!! :D

People get sick, or busy and need to change their schedule (Crazy Dad was busy planting huge wasps in DaeWoong's car anyway) and WooHak isn't even really sure what is it that he's remembering. For all he knows, Crazy Dad could be an axe murderer.

He should've brought backup - why not let BoGeol in it, too?

Also, the total lack of self-preservation instinct hints he's not KiHo anyway. KiHo would've walked in only in the direst need - like when he needs to get his brother out - or with triple backup and a Swiss knife or something LOL.
