Be happy it's just mouth blood spitting. In xianxia, the trope is actually they'd bleed from ALL head orifices…
Bai Lu is my favourite Chinese actress (of the younger generation). But I think she looks way prettier in real life than in any of her dramas (that I've seen, modern ones included). I like Sun ZhenNi's feistiness, too,
But I have to admit, it's LYX's eyes that drew me in - that first scene in the snow in ep 1 when YXW taunts TTJ into imagining he's choking her, and he raises his eyes at her with that murderous look. The best scene of the whole series for me. (That and basically all the battles :D)
I haven't seen One and Only and its companion drama, the first one ends in tragedy right? It feels like cheating to get reincarnated in modern times and start all over, LOL. (When the Korean Moon Lovers didn't go to that second part in the end I quite liked it, but most people seem to have expected that part, based in the Chinese original drama). I guess I'm a contrarian like that :D

It sets a few things for the later parts, it's necessary. But also, costumes. And the most gorgeous series of battle scenes seen in xianxia dramas ever. It's worth it.
Is it just me? I'm getting really annoyed with all the spitting blood scenes, and I'm only 13 episodes in.
Be happy it's just mouth blood spitting. In xianxia, the trope is actually they'd bleed from ALL head orifices (qiqiao - two ears, two eyes, two nostrils, mouth). Thank whomever decided too much is too much LOL and restricted it to mouth blood spitting. In novels, they're not so prudish about it :D
That awkward moment a veteran actor receives an award for promoting culture but I've only seen him as Ragaz in The Arthdal Chronicles (he MADE ME WATCH IT though) and barely recognized him in Vagabond. Congratulations!
Trouble is, it probably WAS released but it's just the BGM and YouTube people don't find them interesting to share T_T
I found a few sites (in Chinese) with the WHOLE OST, including BGM, but I've no idea how to buy it or download it, so it's hopeless until someone figures out a way, LOL.
It's not the same song :') I heard that theme in the drama, but I haven't found it in the BGM yet. They've played it before, not just in the trailer to 39, but maybe it wasn't released yet (there are a few more still unreleased).
If you mean the BGM before it, I don't think I've heard it released yet. There is more BGM to find (I want to find the theme they played when they were coming to get demon-married, that theme is awesome.)
For anyone trying to start a new drama while still in mourning for this one, two recs:
1. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble. A Taiwanese drama (12 eps) about dealing with the paranormal, full of comedy, heartbreak, excellent acting, great story, very satisfying ending. Please come watch!
2. Go Ahead. A Chinese drama of 40/46 eps (DVD/TV versions). A family drama, soul-healing, nice charas, good flow, good story. Watch it for the dads' relationship in the beginning, but there's also steadfast, slow-moving romance. And strangely, this was on MangoTV but has good TL LOL (so strange and rare, I needed to comment on it hahaha).
Neither is xianxia, obviously, but before starting any xianxia (that will definitely NOT compare with TTEOTM), better make a small wave-breaker with any of these dramas, because it's going to be needed :D
This drama is one of those gems that I'll remember for a long time. The last episode was it's peak, both in terms…
1. Baker boy was a serial killer who started in his teens, killing his brother. His obsession was with putting kids out of their imagined misery (he thought he was doing them a favour). So he very probably not only had those two kids to answer for, but for many more (ChuYing asks the detective to look into untimely death of any children around the area, not just the two). He met ChuYing in another kids' environment thing, so he was there probably scouting for more victims, and she told him enough of the doll case story for him to realize it's about his own killing. He's definitely not stupid, so he stuck around and tried to find out more (he began visiting the police station, asking random questions from her, etc.) And when he found out, he immediately wanted to know if his brother was still around too - because that's what motivated him. He also maybe has a thing for ChuYing (like Lecter has for Agent Starling) and wants to "help" her.
2. I think Grandpa really had an ruptured aneurysm or something before the plane crashed into the bus. Sadly I'm with the insurance company on this one. The Ink Lady kept him alive for two years, but in the end, she respected PYY's wish and let him (grandpa) choose for himself.
3. The Ink Lady isn't an obsession (no heart strings forming her, but ink or charcoal residue instead). I think she's the one linking the obsessions with the caligrapher so that he/them can see them and maybe act to help them. She's definitely very, very old (I mean, those are DEFINITELY charcoal ashes, imagine when did mankind use such to write? Way before ink was invented).
4. That scene had me in tears. PYY's expression - that fixed stare, the guilt, the longing, the fear he'd turn his father's spirit into obsession... Masterpiece.
5. It's love :D I know they never went there and it works as just simple bromance, but CGY is way too involved into anything that has to do with PYY. Even going to get him food at night while cursing him at the top of his lungs, LOL, I love them together. And I think CGY was kind of a loner, despite his good years in school, he doesn't have many friends but he's addicted to PYY's school hero manhua that even his mom makes fun of... Nah, CGY is ready for love :D (but we all know PYY is too dumb to even imagine anything like that too :D)
6. The kappa is still my favourite, LOL. I wonder what happened to its statue that mom had set up in the living room :D
7. CGY was already interning when PYY already got out of the first coma. He didn't choose a career either, waiting for PYY, so maybe one or two years, at most, going by PYY's hair :)
8. Everybody's waiting for the main character, LOL, even the spirits with the "Help me!" moan :D PYY's eyeroll :D
Beautiful story, definitely needs more seasons. I hope they have plans to make more :)
If so, @Lei posted it yesterday...

Quite a few of the BGM themes are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuMjk3nHweo&list=OLAK5uy_kjn0LqIiHjWwSdSemW5Q8UXL4YmYf9d3g&index=6
But I don't think that one is in it. Maybe it was part of the instrumentals for the songs, not part of the BGM?...
A complete MTL (atrocious, don't use it) exists. https://www.mtlnovel.com/black-moonlight-holds-the-be-script/
The final chapters with the HE (after the drama's end) are posted above in the discussions.

There are two versions, one with "chanting". They're using that one at times.

2. Community (why suffer alone where we can all suffer together? :D)
3. It usually doesn't go away completely. Which is the greatest thing, too.
I want her to catch him, though. She owes it to him to let him be a bad guy again :D
