Most of the story is clear. Who did what - it's just that there are a few more names to pin to the actions already known.

And they're in love, confessions and all. It's just that she's still a little girl and thinking in absolutes, like a Sith, while he's a poisonous little snake who hasn't grown up human so it's hard to explain himself clearly.

There's plenty of time to solve everything. Actually I wonder what there still is to do to fill up 7 more eps. They're pretty short though, so maybe there's enough for a longer HEA too. (No I don't know if it's going to be a HEA).

I understood the reference long ago, LOL, but my favourite is MAMA. And then basically the whole first mini EXO-K album.

So yeah, EXO fans unite.

I bet it's the only position he saw in that first-night manual. They probably didn't hit the same page, sadly LOL.

What if it's Uncle Lei? He's way too handsome and pure, and he was one of the original 7 who were trained into the Beidou Formation. Five died (did they all die?) and only MQY's uncle and Lei survived.

WHAT IF Lei didn't actually survive, but also killed the others? AND the uncle? Because if the uncle is the Man in Black it'll be kind of boring - so the Mu family have this habit of mind-f!cking their partners (of the Cai clan LOL), betraying them and getting them eventually killed.

On the other hand - if Lei was in love with PingShu and jealous, destroying the Beidou fellows at the worst time possible just to get rid of MQY's uncle... while a trope, it's plausible. I think the Mu uncle would've fought desperately (and maim Lei as much as possible).

I'll wait and see.

Though I have to say it - PingShu's actress is the most beautiful woman in this drama.

PS I'll be honest, EVERY time they mention PingShu's name... I am thrown back to MuLan. "Ping! Fa Ping!!" LOL.

Oh okay now we're (probably) going somewhere. Hopefully.

I just also hope they didn't decide to make it into a mirror-dance with the previous generation, with the FL going maimed because her ML betrayed her etc. Though TBH I am suspecting something else...

(After 28th), so I guess Mu QingYan is a bit of a lonely, itty-bitty rabid pup. He got his eyes on a master, but the master keeps pushing him away, so he snarls and bites and gets moody but then out come those puppy eyes.

And if he's really really mad he might just go gnaw on someone's bones. Or a chair leg, whichever comes first.

I seriously also don't get it with the toxic-relationship comments - so this guy didn't see people around for 5 formative years in his childhood (because they don't have feral kids stories in Ancient China that's why), nobody paid him much attention (other than passing on some family fighting skills or something), and now we're expecting him to think like a regular Joe?! Because how would that come about? Were I in his place, and surived what he did, I'd be doing a Xena impression on anyone who put the wrong fork at the table or the like. Him being an amoral, go-getter infatuated and obsessive character makes a lot more sense than him being well adjusted out of the blue.

General He knows about TWO Fan daughters, if she's his, she wasn't lost. I think they might be somebody's from the city that Xie-the-Father tried to conquer (or defend, I don't remember now), got killed and his body paraded on the walls.

Since it needs more melodrama, if that's the case, then she might be the daughter of the person who killed ML's father directly.

Yeah, well, you'll see his hair locks wave gently in the wind once and you will suddenly realise you don't need any mystery and revenge.

These two eps were a bit less tight, I guess the parts of "regular" costume drama with other people are a bit jarring when we've had only those goodie first eps and got used to the better things.

Anyway.

So! She's NOT a Fan girl, then. She said "my parents treated me as well as parents would treat their own" - is she NOT their own? And people already know these two girls are hunted by the PM's secret (very secret, everybody knows about them) assassins' guild.

And her father was/is NOT General He, since General He seems to be fine and dandy and doing political things outside or something.

Yan Zheng's identity will be known by ALL before she finds out, LOL. I expect her to at least give him the "you've been a good pig" talk-to before sending him on his way.

I really really really hope that we get more fighting scenes (and it's still in the snow, because those scenes, maaaaaan they do them so well. I need more. Everybody in cdrama should only fight in the winter and it's obligatory it snows.) But I also hope Yan Zheng gets more friends, one isn't enough. He needs to be teased out of his mind because of the girl who he fell in love with.

Though the one friend he has so far is pretty biased LOL. And his mind works... different hahaha~

I'm watching ZLH in Zhu Yu, he has a softness to him that Hua Cheng wouldn't have.

I bet ZLH would have made some great role... too bad they won't ever show us anything, of TGCF or 2ha or any of the others T_T

There are no chimneys in an ancient house made out of wood. They're always burning charcoal or wood in fire basins, there are no woodstoves in the house.

The only actual stoves are for cooking AND their smoke goes in under the house brick-beds. (His bed isn't one of those, because he's upstairs, but if you're looking at the lower side, they all have Kang beds (or simpler versions of Kang beds). They're made out of bricks with internal smoke funnels, so that the heated smoke goes and warms the bed while the fire is on. Kind of like the Roman hypocaust system, but for beds only IIRC.

So it totally makes sense to have at least some opening to allow the charcoal/wood smoke to escape outside BUT it's a drama, so way too many windows open in order to allow him to spy on what's going on outside (and hear her whispering her secrets to the world, LOL).

In my country's past, peasant homes' roofs were made out of straw, and that (vaguely) lets smoke escape. (I don't know what they did when it snowed and totally covered the straw, maybe they just went to sleep warm and cozy and never woke up or something).

Anyway... I think the drafts are too gentle. None of them managed to make his shirt wave aside yet, or something. I mean, this should be put to the test. For science.
