I don’t get it, is Cimu being the Master really meant to be the big twist? Do they think ppl are stupid? Or did they really think this was a good plot twist? It’s literally the oldest trick in the book and the first one anyone’s mind goes to when watching this kind of movie.
Apart from that the movie is pretty to look at definitely but like I said, plot wise it’s pretty formulaic and boring, I’ve seen the same movie thousands of times with different actors set in different fantasy worlds. Pretty basic.
And when I say pretty to look at I don’t mean the cgi that too was basic, just the actors, costumes, make up and sets were nice.
Hate on me if you want but I like dream of eternity better. It doesn’t try so hard and the characters are deeper.
JBR is 25-26yo..if YH is younger son I assume he should be 22-23 and is already a surgeon? Plothole right there!
The brain transplant one though is pretty ridiculous XD like I can’t possibly think of what made someone think that they put Yo Hans brain in Ba Reum xDDDD
I have one huge problem with this show and it the portrayal of Han Yangs drug problem. Mostly his withdrawal when he stops taking them. They got some of the symptoms right, but exactly. Then there’s the time frame, for some ridiculous insane reason he’s still experiencing withdrawal months after he stopped taking any drugs. Now unless you have some underlying very serious disease, that’s literally medically impossible to be withdrawing for 3 months, if it was possible trust me, no addicts would ever quit. At most withdrawal lasts for two weeks, and by the second week the symptoms are very easy to handle. I get wanting to steer ppl clear of drugs, but outright lying to them about things like this is just stupid. And I definitely think this was done as propaganda to make ppl who don’t know think that drugs will do this to you when it’s not true.
I seriously can’t deal with that old ass mentality, the amount of times they say in this show, that if you take drugs once you will 100% become an addict is over the top. They say it like every chance they get. Also I love how the blame Han Yang getting into drugs on a Japanese guy in Tokyo because there’s no way he would have started or been offered them in Korea, of course not. Just everything about it makes me feel nauseous.
When Dong Shik was in the holding cell. he was apparently very disturbed by his visit and uncomfortable, I was…
Actually I think you got! I remember thinking of that movie primal fear when those two were on patrol and watching Jin Mook his character reminded me of the main guy from that movie and he was the killer in it. It was a random connection but it made me think it was Jin Mook for a minute there. Thanks ^^
But Sung Yohan was born on 1995, the same year as Bareum.
Like I said it’s a guess there’s easy ways to write around them being the same age that’s why I said that this kind of plot tends to come up full of holes at some point. Which I hope it doesn’t ‘coz I like this show a lot so far. I doubt my random theory is right it’s just something I thought of during the last episode XD I’ve thought of at least 50 others and exactly 0 were right. That’s the fun in watching this kind of show.
I think Yo Han is the younger son from the beginning and when he says to his mom she knew her son was a killer he meant his older brother, which I kind of think might be Ba Reum. He said his parent died, I think he killed his adoptive parents after his mother abandoned him? I mean it seems impossible because of ep 4 and the broadcast but I feel like they’ll plot hole that. Anyway XD tbh I have no idea I’m just guessing, but it’s nice to watch a show that keeps you guessing. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end up becoming stupid coz they’re trying to hard. That’s usually when plot holes start appearing
After seeing JBR snapped the bird's neck and seeing the bandage around his head, I've decided to drop this drama.…
Yeah your making a lot of assumptions based on nothing XD there’s also a part in the preview for the next episode that points to yo Han being alive, assuming they’ve put his brain in Ba Reum is pretty ridiculous. But if you think your so smart then pls don’t watch the next episode because you know your right and you said that you can’t watch a show like that. So if I see you commenting on the next episode I’m gunna have a real good time pointing out your stupidity
Nope nope nope. I don't think drama is the best way to tell american psycho. AP is not thriller story, it's about…
It’s based on the movie, this doesn’t mean much. It means someone liked the character and wanted to make something similar. I think it will be very interesting to see how they do this. Up to date Korea hasn’t really made any dramas that focus purely on a psychopath as the main character. Even in Beyond Evil or Mouse which are currently airing the killers are more of an after thought than the main focus. And in prior dramas serial killers have been treated like a joke example being shows like psychopath diary. Anyway I would t worry too much about your favourite movie/book being destroyed by this, you can just not watch it? Also like I said, I doubt the show will be anything like the book. I can’t see a South Korean drama having a character fucking two hookers then killing them, fucking their severed heads, shoving tubing up their vaginas and letting a mouse eat through their guts etc and tbh 50% of that book is 4 page long descriptions of what people are wearing, the weight of the paper of their business cards including the font and printing method. So yeah I wouldn’t call it a great book. Honestly I prefer the rules of attraction I think it’s a better allegory of how empty and fucked up in general societal rules and standards/expectations are...
1.Why dongshik was trying to present himself as killer like by installing camera before cleaning, passing infront…
Nah that was a rumour started because of his involvement with his sisters murder. The full report on what happened to his partner would only have been seen by his superiors at the time and Dong Shik doesn’t give a fuck what other ppl think about him XD so he allowed the story to spread.
I thought it might be Jin Mook a few episodes ago but I don’t remember the reason, like before he started acting creepy he did something that made me think for a minute it was him but what that was? Like kill me I can’t remember for my life and I’m too lazy to re watch to find out. So XD does anyone maybe know? Did anyone get the same feeling?
1.Why dongshik was trying to present himself as killer like by installing camera before cleaning, passing infront…
Because he fucked up, he told them what happened. But it was still his fault. His partner made it obvious he would do something stupid to catch the guy yet right after he says this Dong Shik leaves him alone in the car to get snacks. That’s on him no matter how you wanna spin it.
Ok last time I said this was too similar to Hannibal, this episode we’ve got 7even I wonder which famous serial killer movie/tv show the next ep will be based on?
I mean fight me if you want, but ep 5 was almost a literal retelling of 7even! When his brother shows up in the end I almost killed myself banging my head against the wall.
This is so fucking ridiculous, there’s at least a hundred other people that worked on this drama but no let’s shelve it because one person did something wrong I am just amazed at how easily Korean ppl believe any allegations made by anyone and just go ahead and punish anyone involved without thinking about anyone else apparently
I don't really understand but I think it's because a support role character is in a "gay" relationship and the…
Ambiguous? Really?? It’s made pretty clear that they’re just friends. If you think two guys caring for each other, helping each other, crying when one is in pain, hugging to be supportive, and just being close in general makes their relationship ambiguous, I hate to tell you but you should re-evaluate your way of thinking. It’s these kinds of comments that make men paranoid of expressing their emotions in the first place. I know it would be nice if 100% of men didn’t give a fuck if everyone thinks their gay because their close with their friends, but a lot of them do. And sure that sux, but if ppl didn’t say shit like your comment in the first place, well...
Am I the only one who finds the romance kind of disgusting? I don't even mind the age difference that much but…
Why is that weird? He’s not that much older than her, they’re not related. Just because you used to know someone when you were younger doesn’t mean you immediately think of them as a relative. Also he didn’t see or talk to her for 10 years, she’s obviously a completely different person when he meets her again because she’s an adult. Why does taking care of her when she was younger mean he’s only allowed to be her brother? I just don’t understand. It’s not like he had feelings for her when she was a child. He only started liking her, after meeting her again a decade later as an adult, how is that weird in any kind of way? It’s bothering you most likely because your the one making it weird. Your assuming he’s dating her now but still thinking she’s his little sister, just because you put some weird image of it into your own mind doesn’t actually mean it’s weird at all. Your the problem in this situation.
Ok I guess when everyone started telling me how good this drama was, well, I guess I was expecting it to be the Korean Oz. But that’s on me, I should have known that Korea was in no way ready to be making and broadcasting anything like Oz. I’m not saying this drama is bad. It’s cute. I just don’t know if a drama about prison should be cute? I’m still watching it, its enjoyable, doesn’t bore me at any point and Je Hyoek is an interesting character.
Oh shit I really loved this show, then they have to go and learn how to queerbait but what’s even worse is that the one actual gay character is a violent psychopath >_< I mean I know gay ppl aren’t exempt from being violent psychopaths but I feel like maybe they still are in k dramas. Like maybe in another 10 years when they’ve had more gay characters instead of like 5, then they can be psychopaths? Am I wrong?
Yeah I hope they don’t fuck this up by trying to make it too twisted. I get they want to keep the audience guessing, but I have a bad feeling the plot is going to be full holes and fall apart because of that.
