This film deserves more recognition on this site. It's hilariously cheesy. It is just the right mix of action and comedy. All the death scenes in this film had me in stitches. The bad guys are ridiculous enough in their poor choreography to keep you entertained. A couple of times, I caught myself asking why would you do that, LOL. If you grew up watching classic 80s films, this one should be right up your alley. It gave me such Nostalgia, and I didn't grow up watching it. This is a film for the rewatch list. Just one guy taking down some cops and a bunch of mobsters.
I think the show would've definitely benefitted from developing their relationship and characters more. I think…
I understand why they would; I just wish they handled the romance differently. I still enjoy the series and look forward to the weekly new episodes. Park Ji Hoon is doing a fantastic job with his roles.
Am I the only one who feels this drama's romance is progressing too quickly? From episode 7 to this week's episode 8, the emotions seem amplified. Ak Hee's fear of abandonment and need to cling to Sajo Hyun's world was apparent since day one, but now he is spiraling. On one hand, it makes sense. On the other, I was expecting it to happen later. Gye-Ra's character needs to be flushed out more. She's supposed to be a trained assassin, yet she seems more like a distressed damsel. It is unclear if her emotions for his majesty are just her way of trying to focus on the plan at hand or if she genuinely feels some pull toward him. If this is the case, I don't feel a connection. Their emotions haven't had enough time to develop. I would like to point out that although everyone is acting like Ak Hee is the mad one, he appears to be the only one who is fearless in sticking to what he wants. I enjoy his character more perhaps because he is a manifestation of His Majesty's emotions. All that I feel is missing in Sajo Hyun' is represented in Ak Hee. It's pretty fitting if you look at it that way.
A part of me wishes they would have gotten rid of the two cupids and kept Dong Chil as the protector for Sang Hyuk. Dong Pal literally serves no purpose to the plot. As annoying as Dong Koo was, he at least got a storyline with An Do Ra. He learned to have confidence in himself. It's a shame that they didn't use Seo Jae Hee in a better way. If he had sacrificed himself for the ML and FL, wouldn't it not make for a better storyline? His character would have grown from his past mistakes, and then maybe he could have even become a cupid himself, making others happy in love instead of taking it away. Don't even get me started on the female lead. Her personality was so dull. Sang Hyuk deserved a better love interest. I'm not satisfied with this happy ending. I'm making my ending', shipping him with my best boy, labrador Dong Chil! Yeah, that's right. I said it, man. He and his best friend spend the rest of their days together.
I swear I laugh at the most ridiculous things sometimes. I broke out in a fit of laughter at the way Sajo Yung cried over the King. It was so left-field, hilarious, and way out of character. 😭😭
Honestly, it's not really confusing at all. The plot is clear (parents having a complicated relationship with…
I agree about the story being rushed. It felt like the male lead and female lead had no time to establish an emotional connection to form a believable relationship. This movie made it seem like they were rushing into a relationship because of the toxic environments at home. In the manga, the relationship was formed out of a period of building trust with each other. The actors that played Meiko and Namura had more chemistry, and that's saying something.
how is it so easy for them to trespass Sang Hyuk’s old house? 😅
Thank you! I thought that the whole time they came in and out of his house, he had no alarm or anything, lol. He could be better at hiding his identity.
The amount of discomfort the homeless creature brings me, oh god, those teeth, I can't look away; they are horrendous. I feel personally attacked. The makeup team did a spectacular job. LOL
I started watching the trailer without looking at the cast list, and then alarm Bells started ringing when I realized who I was looking at. One of my favorite last Twilight fantasies is coming to pass Phojai and Gee ... GOD, YES, I'M SO READY FOR THIS. 😭 😭 😭
Park Ji Hoon is doing a fantastic job with his roles.
