I don’t understand why people complaining about wanting to drop this drama because they can’t handle Type’s…
You know even if I dislike Type's act of violence in this episode, I am still amazed with Gulf's acting. It made me realize that the impact he had on me, getting on my nerves is somehow a testament of his acting skill and it's efficacy to bring certain reactions.
I still await for his character development in succeeding episodes. but I think we still have the right to comment when we think a certain act is not right. :)
I am done with the nega side of this episode. I want to dwell on the positive, which includes Mew's hot and sexy take as he played the drum set. I couldn't forget that and that's why Type got a hard on watching Tharn's sexy drumming. LOL
I also agree with what you said, and I feel like most of the people commenting about Type being toxic, are seeing…
I watched the series the second time. What I understand then is that it his way of making a point that when Tharn would cheat on him, Type would also cheat on him. The kicking in the balls aside from informing his vengeful side was just for him to make a point. I am not sure if he did it to display his dominance but rather a preemption of what he could do if Tharn would cheat on him.
We can interpret it differently and I would still understand.
Despite Type's flaw in character, I still understand him. But as you also pointed out, he's someone that I would not be spoken again after a violent altercation. Glad that I didn't have that kind of person in my relationships.
The actor who plays Techno killed in this episode... so funny! Overall awesome episode!
This I wholeheartedly agree. He is fin to watch and Mild's character here is a breath of fresh air for someone who used to be one of the main leads in gay romances.
I think they were going for a dark erotic take on this scene - like how both are passionate but dangerously obsessive…
I agree with the scenes being "too jumpy". Like in the bar scene after kicking the balls and then the next scene where Type was taken to Mew's family home. It's a wtf moment for me. LOL
I think it's appropriately tagged as Rated R for nudity and violence. I am one of those who have strong reaction…
I have been defending the characters since episode 1. But I can't defend their actions especially if they are questionable. Yes, their characters can make the show more interesting. But this show has become more popular because of the two main leads' intense chemistry. If we consider the storyline, some may find it good or great even but in my case, it's not really that great because I have been reading this kind of trope in many gay novels online. What it makes it interesting is that it's in an Asian setting in Thailand.
People have different preferences and I understand that. However, I think people have the right to point out certain flaws in characters when there's a need to. It is my first time to react strongly to a certain act because I feel like it's not really well-justified.
My question on Type's act at the bar scene is this: Can he do that to someone he loves, kicking in the balls? It's so very painful if we have to really feel the experience. That's why Tharn had to crouch down.
I watched the episode for the second time. After that scene, there is a jump on the scene where Tharn took Type to his family home. So the jump then made me realize that I had to analyze the situation that everything went well between the two and that there was reconciliation that went on after that.
I also made a conclusion that Tharn really loved Type so much that he can sacrifice the pain just so he could please the latter. In this case, I would assume that they really had great sex that Tharn could easily forgive Type and the latter's flaws and violent acts. Things like that are just left as assumptions because they had to tone down the sex and kissing parts.
I also then realized that I really needed to read the novel to fully realize the storyline. The flow of the storyline, in which I thought was good on my first watch, became a mess after watching it again. But it's understandable because the directors of the show have to really edit scenes and parts for Thai TV and for Line TV airing. I just pray that we can see the uncut versions.
The series should have more than 12 episodes. And I hope they can do that. They should take risks. The producers and directors already know how popular the series has become. It's their challenge to make this series consistent in its principle of bringing the chemistry of the main actors to the stratosphere, a factor that many international viewers find magnetic in this show.
I also agree with what you said, and I feel like most of the people commenting about Type being toxic, are seeing…
I understand your viewpoint. I am also gay but I find Type's action to be offensive particularly in the toilet area at the bar. I understand that Type is hotheaded and can be easily irritated.
The first scene of that episode when he slapped Tharn can be justified. He was in rage because of jealousy especially after seeing San kissing his beau. The bar scene though, he was still jealous despite displaying his flirty side much to Tharn's chagrin. I feel like his act of jealousy by kicking the ball is not really justified and is an act of violence on his part. Tharn was slapped and then kicked in the balls but then he still understood Type because he really loved him. Tharn's actions can be justified because of his love. Type's personality is very complex and I am trying to understand him but it does not mean I condone his actions. It is just part of this drama that makes it interesting because we are then tasked to analyze their situations. Again, it's interesting but it does not mean we have to like everything about this show.
I am not sure about this episode. There were a lot of things that I liked & disliked at the same time which I…
I have to agree on the lack of kissing. I pointed it out but not as much on the violent side of Type. But I feel like the way they tone it down is not justified. They had very hot moments when they were fuck buddies. They even kissed/made outpublicly inside the bar. But then when they were official, it's like they have become relegated to domesticated couple. And yeah why the need to be prude? Didn't Gulf say in one of the interviews that he promptly made out with Mew without warning in a room filled with people as they did the workshop?
That's why I have a problem in the direction or director of this episode than the storyline.
Even tho the drama is not bl like it should the book is the untamed is my all time favorite bl and wuxia I just…
Untamed is 50 episodes long but not a single episode of the series in which I haven't been left stoic. I am not really invested in this kind of series but I started watching it as anime and then started reading the novel. I have my complaints with the action series but the story and storyline compensate for it in a way. But I still think as you said the romantic sexual part of the novel should be shown. It would have been the BL series of the year. But then fuck China for being ultraconservative.
A lot of people are commenting how Type is violent, toxic etc., Making Tharn looking like an angel....but people…
I think it's appropriately tagged as Rated R for nudity and violence. I am one of those who have strong reaction on Episode9 with Type's action. And I agree that he is a complex character. Tharn also is. And that makes it even more interesting for me at the same time there's a feeling that I find things disturbing, that's why I understand other people's reactions when they see this series.
The only problem I have with Episode9 is the direction. Given Type's character, his acts can be understandable but the direction of a few scenes are somewhat off to me. Episode 9 is still good though. It's not that great as I would expect it. There are elements lacking there that directors should have included and a scene that should be omitted/edited. But that's just my review of this episode.
It's okay , I won't hating u by ur own pov comment, as for me I don't think I'm hating Type for the rest of the…
I don't think I can also hate Type. He admitted that he can be evil if he is cheated and provoked. I am understanding his actions but that part though in the toilet scene should not be included. It is not really justified. I have a problem with the direction despite commending the storyline. There's something wrong with the direction in this episode. I can't feel but react to it strongly.
We really have different interpretation about this thing.
I think he has shared his role as a protector. Whatever their relationship is, I think it's their private thing now.
Anyways , thanks dude!
I still await for his character development in succeeding episodes. but I think we still have the right to comment when we think a certain act is not right. :)
And have you seen Gulf's new hairdo? He has become more gorgeous here: https://twitter.com/panupong_cbr/status/1201801315711508480
