I can’t make up my mind so far. There are a lot of abuse in this drama even sexual. It’s hard to like the leads as people. But the story is not common. I guess that’s the main attraction.

I think tilan is the girl the emperor met first and the one he fall in love with. I think tilan was trying to tell him that but he can’t see it. I think the tribe sent him the other twin. I might be wrong though.

So does that give him the right to r***p her! The question are you kidding me should be directed to you not me.! There are some thing that are not excusable regardless of any thing! Nothing justifies what he did period.

I have a feeling that the girl the emperor loved first was actually tilan. I feel horrified by the idea. But it could actually be. Maybe the girl the emperor met and loved first was tilan and their tribe sent one instead of the other. Imagine if the emperor did all that for the woman he really loved. That would a crazy plot twist.

Can you please stope stupidly saying that tilan provoked the emperor or that she started it. Gosh I don’t want to be judgmental But people who say such a thing would be first to victims blame in real life and find excuses for vile and disgusting men like the emperor! Just do better and be better.

Because it has to be in one main dialect that not all actors know. I heard the second male lead sounds bad for Chinese people because he is not very competent with the dialect.

I hate him too. His character just crosses the line a lot for what is passable for a bad guy in a drama. I also think the actor doesn’t help. I don’t care much for the actor nor the characte.

He could if he wanted but we all know it won’t happned because the fl is the one to become empress. If it was just a birth control, they won’t make that big deal of it. If you notice the dialogue, it implies it not just a normal birth control.

Yes that how usually it plays. If they were old and ugly, people won’t be that generous to them.

The problem is that usually this drink is not a birth control. It’s a drink that makes women infertile and will never have kids. I have seen it used in some drama before. So he is really making her to never have children when he could have done something else or made her the empress.

I don’t think he will really love her. He would be mostly interested and take her to spite the ML

What the crazy emperor is asking tilan to drink in episode 21? It looks like a poison or some stuff to prevent pregnancy. I can’t believe some people really like this vile man.
I’m all for complicated character and not so innocent ones. But there r some stuff that crosses the lines between what can be passable and what’s not.

I personally enjoyed this drama. The first half was really funny. However, the second half felt lacking for me but still it was a fun watch.

This is the first one and it’s a complete drama for the main leads. The secondary leads got a spin of. But you really don’t have to watch it. I’m not sure if you are mixing this with the other eternal love that had several seasons already,

I’m surprised that I actually don’t like him. I usually mostly like grey character and not perfect one. In ashes of love, run yu was my favorite character. Not sure why but so far I’m not liking any of the 3 mains especially the emperor. Maybe he is just too dark for my taste but I’m interested in the story and that’s why I’m watching.

Have you watched rookie historian? It’s a historical but definitely a romcom and fluffy romance.

Same here. I don’t mind sad ending at all. It’s just very poetic in a way. One of my favorite Korean drama to this day is fashion king because of the ending
