Similar thing just recently happened in the Middle East. But the movie was stopped and canceled. The actors and director got and still getting a lot of backlash. Different culture deal with such controversial matters differently. Just because it got to be ok and the end in your country, doesn’t mean other countries and cultures will do the same.

This is a very sensitive topic to people there and just because the government reviewed it, doesn’t mean the people there has to be ok with it. Ya, I noticed Koreans like more kinds of revenge dramas and that’s what get the high ratings these days. Dramas like world of the married are doing really well there. Run on is good romantic drama of this year. But it’s on the slower slice of life drama. It’s very meaningful though if you like slow paced dramas.

If you like Korean dramas, check rookie historian. It’s a historical drama with a happy ending.

I like him better too. I think it has to do with acting a lot. He is really good actor and we can see his emotions unlike the ml. Funny enough I started the drama because I liked the male lead in go back couple. But I think that character required someone with wooden acting unlike in this drama. I didn’t care much for him her unfortunately.

I personally think you are giving a lot of grace to ml more than he actually deserves. If he wanted to protect fl he could have easily faked her death and have her come as a girl later on were no one could know about it. But no, he was planning to give her to the emperor all along and that what he even said in episode 36 trailer. I think he got some weak moment thinking that he wanted her. But ultimately he decided to sacrifice her. Honestly I’m disgusted by him. Both mls in this drama are beyond redemption and both are disgusting.

Yes there is a misunderstanding and a hug one. The ml is in love with the fl but he does some stuff that leads her to think he is not in love with her. The ml doesn’t appear for the start as the actor plays 2 role. The fl (knowing the ml) falls in love with someone else who betrays her. It’s actually a very good drama even with misunderstandings.

She is the one who dies young in her thirties but that after they were together. Old times were tough and thirties where a normal dying age for many people.

They get happy ending in terms that they end up together. It’s based on real history and in real history she was the only woman whom he chose and love. But life in old times wasn’t lovely and rosy. They lose 2 of thier kids very young (when they were babies) and she dies when she is pregnant with her third baby in her thirties. He lives afterwards. This is what happened in the real history. But I’m not sure at what stage of their life the drama will end. They might end it when they get together and leave it at a happy ending.

Yep crazy stuff. I even think the girl the emperor loved and met first was tilan but their dad switched them and sent zizan to the emperor because zizan is can control the emperor more.
