I actually read the novel first and was waiting for the drama because the novel was so good. I love this type of novel of rebirth and revenge. This was was really good even without the revenge part and the novel is more descriptive. For example, when she go to save the illegitimate daughter of the rich family, the novel had a lot more details. I guess they can’t include everything in the drama.

Ya I agree. I think to her, she feels so guilty that she is the reason for his blacking and she is trying to pay back for what she did. That’s how I understand not that I justify it.

In the novel, there was no modern day part. I think they added that in the drama to pass the Chinese regulations for dramas. They have a lot of regulations for travel back dramas. I think it just meant to tell us that the fl will get a chance to fix her life that the author hoped to get for her as the author wasn’t very happy with the angst and sad novel she created regardless of how popular her novel was.

Yes he did. He wanted revenge but was still in love with her. He actually wanted her to be his wife even after all what happened in their first life.

In the novel, he actually gave her the dagger that she used to kill herself. She thought he gave her the dagger because he wanted her dead (wanted to kill her). That’s why she killed herself. She thought he will do it if she doesn’t. But he actually gave her the dagger because he wanted her to defend herself against yan lin who was going to her at night and sleeping and raping her. It’s just a huge misunderstanding.I think he was already in love with her but didn’t get it.

I don’t think she was greedy for power. I think she is so broken from the fact that she was kidnapped upon birth and when she got back to her family, they treated her so badly. Her mom still loved the child of the kidnapper more than her and her dad just wanted her to realize things by herself when she was completely ignorant. For her, the empress is the most honorable woman in the world. And that what she wanted. She wanted the honor not the power. If she wanted power, she wouldn’t have been that ignorant about what’s going on around her especially politically. She was bad and used people for sure but never gave false hops. She never told yan that she loved him but took for granted what he gave her.

Ya, three guys who love her in this life. I personally rooted for the vice justice minister when reading the novel. He was so pure and really wanted justice. But their past together will be toxic for this new life as they both got rebirth (he is the only guy who got rebirth too) he helped her but lost things. I dont want to spoil much. But he will be the first guy she will be in a relationship with in this life. She still care for him the most at this stage on the drama too but doesn’t want to entangle with him to be good to him. In the previous life, the 3 guys loved her too. The male lead was too late to see it though. The general guy was so in love with her but hated her so much when she told him she wanted to be the empress when he was in the worst point of his life. He came back for revenge and even raped her. I think he wanted to marry her if she didn’t kill her self.

I’m taking about zhang zhe the vice justice minister not the male lead. She and him fall in love at first sight in her first life. He actually got rebirth with her and remembers the first life. They loved each other but she was already an empress. But she was in a very difficult situation because the emperor family wanted to remove her. She asked him for help and he helped her. But he got imprisoned because of helping her. That’s why she says she used him and owns him.

She loved zhang zhe in her first life. He was the only one she actually loved. But she was married and empress altrady. He actually got rebirth too and remembers their first life. That’s how it is in the novel though, not sure the drama will be the same or not.

She and zhang zhe actually fall in love at first sight in her first life. But she was already married. That’s why she is reluctant to have the other study companion as his fiancé. She feels she doesn’t deserve him. he was the only she actually loved. She killed herself just to save him. Yes, she used him to save herself when people wanted to remove her from the empress position. But she still love only him.

In the novel, she was raped too. It’s sad. Even if they loved her, it’s not an excuse to treat her that badly. She was very naive in her previous life and didn’t see how her actions will be taken by them. But she never promised anything to them too. It was their wishful thinking.

No he didn’t. Only she and the vice justice minister who is the second or third lead did. He also remembers the previous life. Yan lin will later remembers stuff through dreams. He will feel guilty for how he treated her in the previous life.

She’s awesome in historical dramas. Can’t wait to watch

It’s is a big thing in both China and South Korea. People there look negatively at celebrities who do that. For them celebrities are role models for people and should not be involved in tax fraud. People there usually cancel celebrities involved in such a crime.

If you want good Chinese drama try nirvana in fire (first season). Recently, the only Chinese drama that I enjoyed but still has some issues was love like the galaxy.

I really hope Shin Se Kyung is the FM. She is outstanding In historical dramas.
