Definitely too fast. For the first few episodes I liked the shorter timeframe. But now it feels like they are showing us highlights of a show. It seems weird.

Yup, the mean and selfish streak is annoying now, but looking forward to the remaining episodes!

Loving this show so far! Love the leads and both of them are such great actors!! Seeing great facial expressions is a welcome change after the idol dramas I just binged ?(I love them too, but just a refreshing change to watch something mature with better acting).

My only issue is with Seo Dan Ah. At times she does seem like a bad ass with control of her life, but then at times she overreacts, is super annoying, and very selfish. Maybe there is a turn around later in the drama? For now her scenes are jarring and breaks the flow of the drama for me since the male and female leads are having a sweet and well mannered interaction

I really wanted to enjoy this drama! I've had it on my list for a while and I've enjoyed similar plotlines in the multiple versions of Playful Kiss and other dramas. But other than a good looking lead cast and a nice over arching plot, this drama doesn't have much going for it.

The sequence of events make no sense most of the time. You can see what situation they are trying to set up but they do such an awful job of it that you want to constantly roll your eyes. Add to it poor production value and ridiculous dubbing, it is hard to enjoy this without focusing on stuff that goes wrong.

I'll have to look for other cutesy high school dramas with this theme!

So true!! I saw this comment before starting the drama and thought "it couldn't be worse that what I just saw in I Cannot Hug You!" . Oh my God, it was worse! It is not just one character..many including the supporting cast have the same problem. And the voices are such a mismatch with the people.

Give Go Ahead a shot. It's a great family story with a romance sub plot. I couldn't stand the FL for the first episode or so and almost didn't start the drama based on the trailers. I thought she over acted. But trust me the other characters (especially the fathers and child actors) are amazing and you'd be missing out on something awesome because of her.

The dubbing seems so weird for the male lead. The voice doesn't suit him and in some parts the lip sync is completely off. It is putting me off the drama..does it get better?

So the plot is a bit complicated but from what I remember, there is no triangle. The fashion side of things takes over for a bit. Based on reviews I watched the first half properly and it was enjoyable. I skip watched the second half with the business angst.

Here are some. Not all are my favorite, but I've seen most episodes of the ones I didn't like so much and didn't see a triangle. Always worth a shot to see if you like it.

I don't think people are complaining about her being older than ML IRL. The problem is she looks way too older than him when they are supposed to be the same age in the story. If they were coworkers we could pretend that ok they aren't the same age. But they clearly are in the same class.
Not triggered at all. Just trying to explain the difference. Personally I've never ever checked ages of actors before. I truly don't care. But I expect actors to look of similar age of they are acting as classmates.

I am loving this remake too, but I also feel it is perfectly valid to vent about bad casting decisions here. The comment section here is to talk about the drama as a whole, not just actors. I do agree it isn't fair to blame the actors if you are unhappy about the casting. They are doing the best with the opportunity given to them .

Personally I came here to vent about the same topic! I am enjoying this but I think I would enjoy it way more if the ML looked older or if the other 4 looked younger. Now there is something a little off when they are all on screen together and we have to believe they are all the same age.

2 episodes in, I am liking it! Honestly it is the supporting cast that pulls you in. The friend characters and actors are so good that I am enjoying this without comparing it to the original. I do wish the ML looked older. At first the FL bothered me. But later I realized that FL and the 3 friends all look about the same age. Given that actors in their late 20s are always playing high school characters, it all fits well except for the ML who looks like a kid amongst grown ups. I am hoping this becomes less noticeable with some developing chemistry!

I saw the first 2 minutes of the drama, the FLs first scene and immediately paused to come check comments here for exactly this! I am glad others feel the same. She looks way older than ML and is not convincing in a cutesy high school girl role. I'll keep watching to see if it improves.

Adding to the comment below, SML gets no pairing at the end. Li baba (FLs dad) gets a happy ending paired with someone. None of the other friends get paired officially despite multiple missed connections. There is a hint of one with one set of supporting characters but it isn't resolved in the end.
I wouldn't recommend this if you are watching just for the romance (I do that a lot and didn't pick this drama for a while for the same reason). It is an excellent heart warning family drama. Watch it for the feels and the superb acting. The romance is part of the story but not the focus. It'll always be one of my fav non-romance dramas.

I am obsessed with the theme song!! It has been a few days since I finished the drama and I can't get it out of my head. I am listening to it on a loop few times a day. Just beautiful. No matter what I feel about the last 1/3 of the drama, this will always remain in my heart.

You basically wrote the review I would have!! This drama would have been spectacular if they had focused on the family. I only watch romance dramas and was shocked when I started thinking "the romantic angles are ruining this drama"! There really was no need for all the crossed/missed connections especially when most were left unresolved. Personally I would rate it higher only for the parents characters -what a set of amazing characters. The good guys and bad guys pulled it off with top notch acting.

Just finished the drama and my final thoughts- absolutely wonderful!! I loved it in the beginning and then stuck to it only for Li baba. Such an amazing character and actor. His interaction with everyone was amazing.
The romance was weird at first and then just a secondary part of the drama for me later.
I was a bit unsatisfied with the ending. I wish we had more focus on the main characters rather than LX mom. I was hoping for more cutesy stuff from Li baba or even the romance, but it took forever to resolve the conflicts.

Hmm..I am almost 3/4th done with the drama. Romance is almost zero in the first half (20 episodes). This isn't a typical romcom. The focus initially is on the family and the sibling bond or father-child bond. It is beautiful though, worth a watch. In the second half there risk romance but it is half of the focus with the family stuff still being resolved.
Have you watched the following c dramas? They are pure romance with very little or no triangles.
