tbh i dont care, even if they grow up together as "siblings" ( forced to ), but are not blood-related.. i dont…
Judging their relationship or not, my bigger issue is the improbable situation of now knowing your parents'new spouse and their family especially when you knew them before
its not rly taboo.. its pretty normal.. they are not related but blood so there is no problem what so ever. I…
It is not normal for someone to date their step sibling. Family is family. If someone cannot control thier hormones enough to not act upon attraction to a step sibling/relative, then there is something wrong. By the 'blood' logic, are incestuous relations with adopted siblings or children fine? Sometimes family is about the emotional bonds and promises you make. Not about blood.
I still think the original is better, i think this version lacks in intensity
I wish we got a mashup of the two. The acting and relationship set up of the original (friend's brother not step brother) but the lightness and youthfulness of the Chinese version.
Not sure if you check out the drama yet or not. But the main leads were not step siblings when they were kids,…
I am not arguing the plot point of him not recognising her or vice versa. I completely understand the set up as they have it. I just find it unrealistic - no living family member would be so detached from their parents'new family. Unless you have are 'no contact ' with your parent, if they get married to someone new, you would (1) attend the wedding unless it was impossible to travel, (2) see photos from the wedding and following days, (3) have video calls with parents when occasionally the step siblings show up in the background.
I understand how they set the scene up. I am just saying it is extremely unlikely this would happen in real life in today's digital age. I can imagine this happening 20-30 years back when pics, social media, and travel wasn't as common.
Ok why is it the FL wears such short shorts to work? Furthermore she’s a manager? Her outfit looks like something…
I've always wondered the same!! I get that east asian dramas, especially chinese, like to show a lot of FL leg but I've wondered if it is common in real life in a professional environment.

Be realistic - if (hypothetically) your mom marries another man while you are abroad, wouldn't you still consider the new family as your family? You'd stay in touch, you'd look at the new step sibling as a sibling. Most people would even let go of any crush they previously had since the person is now a sibling.
I'm sucha lover of noona romance, but didn't work for me!! If u wanna watch older woman/younger man! Try find…
I had the same issue with the falling in love part. In the Korean version it was portrayed as the guy having a crush on her when he was late teens/early twenties. And then when he is back after a couple of years, he pursues her. More chemistry in the Korean version as they get to know each other again. The step siblings thing puts a damper on the chemistry here.
Same over arching theme but very different initial relationship and different "feel" throughout.
Spoilers!!!!
They are step siblings in the Chinese version, not friends. Also the Chinese isn't as angsty and trying to be mature from what I've seen. It is light, the FL also acts like she is in her 20s rather than 32. So the age gap isn't obvious from looks or behaviour. So it is cuter.
Ok, cute drama and all but why did they have to be step siblings? It is icky and also causes continuity issues. I mean..how could Yike not know what her step brother looked like?! Even if they aren't raised together, she lives with his mom for god's sake!!!! Every mom has their kid's pics at home or she would share them like "look how handsome LeLe looks in his graduation pic/vacation pic/whatever pic". In this day and age and that too living with family, the first few scenes made zero sense. Just make them family friends!!!!!
Terrible drama! I gave it a shot because it is being marketed like crazy showing up in YouTube feeds. But the drama is so bad. It has no direction and seems very lost as to what it is portraying. The characters have no growth and sometimes you are confused if they even know they are . This is more of a good friendship between leads and I think they should've left it at being a thriller with a good friendship instead of pretending to be a rom com
Spoiler tag please! You ruined the plot for me (and possibly others)
No, it's not clear from the synopsis here (I read it twice, please do let me know if it's a particular phrase which implies it since it only mentions "meeting"). I've also seen several scenes on YouTube and Instagram. But none spoiled the crux of the show.
She doesn't have any issues. What she is dealing with are not personal issues. She is being brutally and secretly…
"To expect her to become proficient at business overnight under horrendous conditions is crazy. "- hence why she should've had someone else manage the museum, not do it herself. Totally understand the need to switch off your brain a bit for shows like these. Been watching kdramas for 5 years and that's definitely my #1 rule. It's just a bit annoying because the FL alone seems like she is in an overly emotional makjang with one major problem after another. Outside of that, loving the over the top comedy, ML, the clothes, and the art. Beautiful drama.
I also spent $10 for the premium Viki membership to watch this drama. So I had VERY high expectations. NGL - although I am enjoying it, the extra money I spent on it hurts a bit now.
Is this like Run-on where you basically fall asleep due to the lack of conflicts? Or genuinely enjoyable
I know this is late, but if you are still wondering - the shows can't be compared!! This seems more whacky comedy with a bit of romance whereas Run On is more mature/gentle romance.

I agree that some help is necessary, but I think she waited too long and caused issues when they could've been resolved sooner. Do you really need a business degree to check on day 1 if the company has enough money to operate and pay employees? I mean, I'd say it is a basic thing to check which she didn't do until someone else pointed out there is no money. So she does seem a bit slow/damsel-in-distress-waiting-to-happen type of character.
Confused about something in episode 1 - when they walk into the arena for recruitment, the friend says that the team is the #1 ice sports team in the country. And then few minutes later the coaches are talking about how they are in trouble, they need to improve performance or else they will be disbanded. What did I miss?
I feel like the friendship between Joon and JJ was also so toxic. And JJ, Joon, and in hyung's story went in circles…
I totally get that. I can tolerate a whole load of cliche which I suppose some people can't. But this dramas portrayal of relationship was just not for me.
