Yeah… I totally get what you’re saying and I didn’t miss that part. She realizes that if she did anything…
But she had to be passive to observe and figure out the rules! She played an active part and someone else got hurt. Her character isnt someone who would hurt others intentionally so of course she is taking it slow.

I totally get that. But do you think if there were no future seasons of Squid Games (hypothetical scenario..say…
There was an event in South Korea where they shared plans for 2 korean prequels (the games where current front man played, and the chairmans story). Also an American Squid Game and something called World Squid Game i think.
khaffykhaffy Jul 8, 2025
Did you miss the part where she realizes that if she stood up for herself and changes anything, the fated accident/horrible thing goes to someone else. She needs to be smart. also, korean version is very similar and there isnt much of a change in how much the FL does initially.

The amount of people that is mad about the ending, but FAIL to realize what is it was saying to the audience is…
Could you expand on how the deaths this season shaped character growth or change in people? and what specific change from S2 (or for Gi Hun, Jun Ho, In Ho from S1)? Just example characters. I am asking very honestly because I want to hear the other side.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
The "good" guy/s don't always win, the bad guys oftentimes get away with shit and we don't always get closure.…
I totally get that. But do you think if there were no future seasons of Squid Games (hypothetical scenario..say the owners of intellectual property of Squid Games said it had to end after this season)... do you think we would have gotten the same ending? The current ending (Gi Hun dying to wrap up Kprean games but In Ho survived and the hint at American games) shows that the entire season was just a set up for future seasons (which Netflix has already announced).

Why these bad comments? Do you want a happy ending where everyone goes home? 😂😂 It's a logical and realistic…
Not expecting a happy ending,no. But after watching Gi Hun and Jun Ho try to go against the games for two whole seasons, we got nothing..absolutely nothing from them. Either of them could have made some difference. Kill the front man and some VIPs. Expose the games to authority before the location and all evidence was destroyed. Anything. The way it ended
...the games will go on but Gi Hun and Jun Ho failed.

Also - all you people trying to find meaning and justifying this season are missing the point that it was written…
When i said netflix returning with more stories, I meant their plans to create new sequels. check online. they have 2 prequels, an American version, and a world version planned already. Gi Hun didn't end the games. It lives on. all of the people running the games and all VIPs survived. they just destroyed one of their many many locations which they were always prepared to do (hence the preset bombs). So, no, there wasn't a lot of damage to the games and they will come back and we will see more seasons of it.

Also - all you people trying to find meaning and justifying this season are missing the point that it was written this way just so the Squid Game org lives on and sequels can be made. The point wasn't the story at all. The point was Netflix being able to return with more stories.

Review Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
The baby did not win....that wasn't even the point lol. Gi Hun's death was the point, it proved that humanity…
The baby did win. the baby inherits the player 222 tag. If you watch the ending, at about 18 mins left of show, Jun Ho gets a card which says "Player 222. Winner". It was kept on the baby. Baby is the only one who survived. Baby wins. Gi Hun's death being the point would mean the point of S2+S3 is that all attempts at fighting the rich and powerful is futile. All rebellion fails. Being good and standing behind morals gets you killed. Gi Hun could have lived a happy life being a part of his daughter's life but he tried a futile fight and lost. That to me is disappointing... for a show that gave great commentary on the downside of society while still giving us a hero in S1, essentially showed us everything is futile and nothing matters. It was a disappointing watch. If you read my review, I said it doesnt matter that Gi Hun died...i wish he made a difference before his death.

But none of the individual endings were satisfying though. Gi Hun died without making any difference to the game's…
She did not try a single hop on the bridge though! When faced with certain death, there is an adrenaline rush that sometimes blinds pain. Even if it doesn't, I cant understand a mother just giving up and jumping to her death rather than trying at least one hop. Try, and you will be pushed off to your death after having given life a shot. And also, even if 333 would betray her later, as a mother, she would have done anything to take it one step at a time. This is a woman who risked her life to join a game while pregnant. Her just giving up like that was out of character. One hop! One attempt on the bridge! It is like committing suicide before the invading horde shows up instead of grabbing a sword and limping into battle to die in honor.

But none of the individual endings were satisfying though. Gi Hun died without making any difference to the game's…
As a mother though, I could tell you I would try and try until my dying breath. despite knowing it is futile, despite knowing I would try after the first hop, I would hop. Because adrenaline rush is something you cant discount. What if your body cooperates? Even if it doesn't, I would die knowing I tried at least one hop instead of giving up like she did.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
I was probably watching different show. I am very satisfied with the ending. But more so with the journey. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔Individual…
But none of the individual endings were satisfying though. Gi Hun died without making any difference to the game's future. Jun Ho failed to make a difference or even get a proper answer from his brother (the audience got In Ho background but his brother is still clueless). 222 died in vain..didn't even try crossing the bridge with 333..she was ready to die anyway, so why not try at least?. 333 died with zero character growth and redemption. I could list all of the deaths that were futile with no character growth. The good people were good throughout and died good. The bad people stayed bad throughout and died as bad people.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
The ending was justifiable for me cause you can't really expet police to catch those people right?? those vip's…
Please use spoiler tag

as for your comment..sure, the game front man and VIPs would escape the law but they could have died. In a show with so much death, they really couldn't script a way for a character to kill the front man and/or at least one VIP? That would avenge some of the deaths and maybe put some fear into the people involved.

lowkey laughing at these comments being mad and saying “should’ve ended at s1” like as if y’all weren’t…
I dont think everyone was begging for more seasons. Folks who watch Kdramas new that we only get one season. and MDL users fall under that category. The problem is that SG became popular across the globe with non kdrama watching fans, which made Netflix take notice and do a cash grab S2 and 3.

I am reporting all comments without spoiler tags. If we all do that, hopefully mods will delete the message and people will use spoiler tags.

Corporate greed ruining a perfect S1 of a show about human greed.
avb Jun 29, 2025
Isn't the irony amazing here? Corporate greed ruins a show about greed and how humans may easily turn selfish for the right price!
Squ1d_ Jun 29, 2025
All of the messages you say this season has (greed vs morality) was covered really well in S1. I feel like S3 didn't add anything new and on top of that, none of the characters did what they set out to do originally. So what was the point of S3 other than Netflix setting the stage for an American version of the series?

The irony - the greed to make more money out of this franchise ruined a perfectly good story established in S1. Korean shows almost never have multiple seasons, and corporate greed intervened.
as-iq Jun 29, 2025
You say it yourself multiple times in your review..S3 repeats and cements the same messages about society from S1. But what did it accomplish? Typically more seasons of a show are added to further a story somehow. Have characters accomplish something or a new message being shared or characters growing/changing somehow. None of that happened in S3 of Squid Game. Then shock value and the naked truth of selfishness and greed in our society is a repeat from S1. None of the characters did what they set out to do. So what was the point? To repeat S1?
