Hmmm. I guess I can see XZ work well as TSJ. I can see it.
I think he looks a little too old for the role… he also doesn’t look like a fox, and I don’t think he possesses the expressiveness or the acting prowess for the role.
Yang Yang = TSJChen Xiao = CXHuang Xiao Ming = XLDilraba = Xiao YaoWow.
I respectfully disagree with all of your picks. YangYang doesn’t have the acting capacity to fully express TSJ’s emotjons. YY, and I like him as an actor, unfortunately has “dead fish eyes” and won’t be able to fully express the emotions necessary for TSJ.
Chen Xiao I can maybe see as CX, but ZWY is it for me for the role of CX
Huang Xiao Ming lacks the ethereal otherworldly quality of XL, as well as the acting chops.
Dilraba has played male roles before and they were just not believable.
Not to mention above actors also look too old to play these roles.
Underrated gem. For me, this show is almost up there with Minglan and YangXi. This show should be in the 9s, it’s pretty close to a 10 for me.
The cinematography is one of the best. Every shot is like one from a painting. Loved all the leads, their journey, character growth and dialogues. Support characters were also fantastic, especially the actor who portrayed Chi Pan, who was THE comic relief. Hr not only delivered but stole every single scene he’s in while also stealing the hearts of the audience.I wish to see the main leads act in a drama together again.
What a frustrating show. I hate the way the FL was written and acted. The entire premise of the show is that the FL is smart and capable, but to the audience, she comes off illogical, not very smart and lacking common sense. , which is repeated throughout the story, and that makes the ridiculous plot even less believable.
I think it’s good quality production that’s a bit overhyped and overrated. I powered through the show after dropping a number of times because of how many people told me they loved the show… but the FL, the way she was written and acted with the infantile behavior with pouts, baby voice and overall stupidity masked as naïveté… is not cute, and it’s something I find grating.
It’s not a show I’d recommend people. It was just okay. And it’s okay for too have differing tastes and preferences.
TuShan Jing's father HAD to be a fuck boy, didn't he? His father died and his mother had to take care of everything…
it was common in the olden days for prominent men to have multiple wives. The more children, the better, especially if the offspring is male. Understanding the historical is everything
I'm hating XL for what he did and doing to WXL. I'm on ep7. He's freaking arrogant and high and mighty and a literal…
he’s a xiangliu… which is a Chinese mythical creature, a venomous 9 headed snake demon… a vampire is eastern european mythical creature… But he is pretty abusive towards XL in the beginning
I also kind of want them to remake BBJ
edit: My comment cut off an extra letter. I meant BBJX, Scarlet Heart
