From what we know of XL’s character, I don’t think he did anything that would violate or disgrace her.

This is why reading translations is limited. In Wang to know what it says in original text

I keep thinking back to the scene where XL willingly accepts the planting of the loversbug… the look of love and tenderness in his eyes, the silent but bursting joy and happiness when XL and XY take the ocean to escape from the Haoling guards… the way he looked at her with ao much love and longing…

I wonder if this moment was akin to a wedding for XL, knowing full well what the bug signifies, and what it means for them both. For all he knew, he had been alone for all of his life and for the first time, gave all of his heart to XY, never to be taken back… she was his soulmate, his partner, a new beginning for him…

Only to find that she’s the princess of Haoling, his enemy.

The words he spoke to her as FBB, in that he fell in love at first sight… that all of his experiences up to meeting her was all to woo her… and suggesing that she drop her identity and they wander the world together…

XL, XL, XL… you poor tragic soul.

Finally continuing to watch— on episode 6 so far and I’m getting why it was so hyped and well-loved.

I’m a fan of the series :) Disappointed, yes, at the writing, directing and production, but still worth the watch.

I personally would like to see more chinese shows on Netflix with good subtitles, as I hate watching them on other platforms due to sub/music/syncing issues

I don’t think too many Americans are consuming Chinese media, the demand isn’t there yet like it is for Kdrama and Japanese anime.

I’m watching Untamed and there’s a scene where XZ’s character falls off the cliff and he does the propeller arm, like how GJ did. Except the way it was shot, along with the graphics, it didn’t look as silly as GJ, and it made me realize again how the director and the production team screwed up majorly for this drama with such a big potential.

I enjoyed the show, don’t get me wrong, but I really blame the directors, writers and producers for squandering the potential.

Did she lose weight? I think she’s one of those skinny actresses who always appear a bit meatier on screen, bur irl, she’s super skinny, like ZLS

I’ve seen many celebrities support that hairstyle… it was popular in the 80s and extremely popular in the 2000s, with Nakashima Mika making it popular all over Asia. But WHD pulled it off okay too, though I don’t think it’s his best style.
