At the banquet, Anle’s sole purpose of being there was to be the antagonist to push HanYe to choose ChengEn…
Her original plan was to get close to HanYe so that she could become an “insider” to the courts and cases so that she could establish herself and her reputation as the just official who stands by people, while learning more about her enemies by having them near. It would give her the opportunity to grow her power to take out the corruption in court, including minister Gu who is her enemy, so that when the time comes for getting justice for the Di family, the court will have been cleansed of corrupt officials so that the Di clan could get a just ruling.
Question on ep19: Why did the emperor…question in comments***
1. What did the emperor mean when he said to Hanye: “Some things have already changed, it’s just you that have no idea”
2. Why did the emperor gift Anle a Scabbard without a sword? Anle suspects the enperor’s message was for Anle to “retract her sword.” What does this mean?
From my understanding...1. The Crown Princess title has always belonged to Ziyuan, and Han Ye plans on following…
That part I get, but he was always going to choose DZY, he’s made that clear very clear ever since the beginning. What was his point/purpose of barring her from the banquet?
Spare himself and her the pain of having to see Hanye choose ChengEn instead of someone he truly loves?
Just finished ep.17 and I need to complain! It started off great up until ep.10 then everything has gone slack.…
At the banquet, Anle’s sole purpose of being there was to be the antagonist to push HanYe to choose ChengEn as his crowned princess.
She was there to provoke and she did exactly that, even though it broke her heart.
We know from multiple episodes and multiple discussions between AnLe and Mingxi that AnLe has a soft spot for ChengEn and AnLe wants to support ChengEn because she feels indebted to her. Her provocation wasn’t one of malice, but the final push for HanYe to protect and choose ChengEn, so that she could move on with her revenge plot without suspicious eyes on her.
On episode 18: Anle was clearly near the entrance— couldn’t Hanye have taken her out of the burning building and THEN dressed her wound away from the roaring fire and collapsing building?
My dude actually took her further in away from the door.
And Muqing, come on. Why leave the note under the book when you could have carried it with you? What is happening to logic in this episode, writers?
In the novel, HanYe is supposed to be just as brilliant as AnLe, they’re neck and neck and stand shoulders to shoulder in terms of their abilities. Writers have shown Anle’s brilliance, but I haven’t really seen Hanye’s brilliance showcased. Did I miss something?
The writing is beyond belief. After the scene where Han Ye noticed that Cheng En did not have a big scar on her…
The guard wrote to Minxi about the plaque, and An Le told the story about it including the story of the scar, at which Mingxi guessed the CP had seen the lack of scar on her shoulder.

without a sword? Anle suspects the enperor’s message was for Anle to “retract her sword.” What does this mean?

In the opening sequence, there’s male character who is blindfolded standing next to Princess Mo Shuang. Does anyone know who it is?
It’s such a torture. Who decided on this direction?
