Overall I enjoyed this drama, especially GuYanZhens character, he’s character is adorable and funny and childish and smart at the same time. But the logic holes are sometimes so glaring. For example, when XieXiang got kidnapped in Beijing and GYZ saw it but didn’t run after them? I would think a student of LHJX would run after them regardless if he knew who it was or not. There were quite a few others but I’ve temporarily forgot them. I’d give it an 8 score overall just because of the characters, relationships and moments that are hilarious throughout. The plot and plot devices they use could have seriously been done better.
I watched the first 5 episodes and skipped to the ending. Although completely different stories, it reminded me too much of the Ace Troops, not only of the cast but the general feel - I swore I would never watch another drama by the Ace Troops director again. Lo and behold, I found out after skipping it that this was the same director. So glad I did not spending my time watching 40 episodes.
I’m still watching this drama coz I’m interested in the overall storyline but the word that sort of sums up this dramas script and directing for me is “LAME”! I feel like so many parts are fillers, like side character love story don’t really have anything to do with the overall story.
This is such a weird drama to watch, it feels almost like an inverted version of MRIAD. All of the previous short…
I think the writer did not take in audience feedback and use it well. Still pushing female leads, it’s annoying. But at least the female leads so far aren’t as annoying as the one in MRIAD. Whoever the writer is, isn’t very good at fleshing out relationship development.
