i want to watch it but i don't dare, i have a terrible crush on Leo Wu, if I see him as a child I'm gonna have…
I’m sure it will be fine. I’ve watched this and then watched The Long Ballad where I absolutely crushed on his character there. I never mixed the two which I suppose speaks to his acting.
This drama was big on themes like loyalty, friendship, trust and love that transcends time, vanity and materialism.…
I don’t really want to compare the two because I feel both stories have it’s own merit. NIF is just that one drama that will have a special place in my heart, whereas JOL is just another great drama that is really enjoyable to me.
I guess i am one of the few people that finds nivirna in fire boring..may be because i had a very high expectations…
This drama was big on themes like loyalty, friendship, trust and love that transcends time, vanity and materialism. It is how they portray these values in its execution of the story that made it such an amazing drama. I believed in the cause and why it was so important for his plans to materialize. The pure-heartedness of the characters made it so endearing. I enjoyed JOL a lot and am waiting forever for S2 but it does not compare to NIF for me. There may have been more action, scheming and romance but the virtues that NIF manages to portray and execute so well is incomparable to me. NIF was a grand story, with a grand cause that got the audience really invested in it. I did not need to see more action, scheming or romance because the scenes they did have made me feel all the intensity already. I felt so much more of the love between the characters here without any romantic scenes than I did with JOL with romantic scenes.
This drama is good in the first episodes. But got boring to middle episodes. I only continue watching this because…
I’m watching it for the 2nd time and appreciate the drama even more. Reba was so boyish in this drama I felt like calling her the “female” lead wasn’t suitable lol. This was the role which I have one of the best impressions of her acting. I loved the character growth of everyone.
Ep32... wtf? Such poor script writing and directing, why ruin what could have been a really good series? So illogical with Master Bai and his daughter, they should win the dumbest characters of the year award.
I paused this when I found out Wu Xiao Tian dies. Can someone tell me if it was logical? I'm tired of deaths that occur just for the sake of main character growth.
Later it gets better. Then villains' true colours are revealed and comparing to them CKY becomes likeable. It…
I finished the drama now and I still don't really like any of the characters. I don't feel anything for them. And since CKY is the main, I especially don't like her. They trying to show her as a boss lady but I feel like if she was a man, her actions would be considered borderline abuse in a business setting. Another annoying thing is she has this "I'm above everyone else" air about her when she's really not that clean herself. And the music is so dramatic but I feel like it doesn't really suit the scenes. They play like emotional music for business scenes...noooo!
I don't know how I feel about XHX yet, but I really don't like the main character CKY. She is not likable at all. I do like the story so far. I'm about on episode 9 so far.
I think there are plenty of newcomers who's acting is on point. She is the female lead so I would expect her acting to be on point, can't just give her a break because she's new. If her acting is not yet up to standard, I don't think she should be lead then.
14 is used to show how she didn't go crazy out of the blue - it took 6 months of self-torment and then discovering…
Lol yeah, a couple of things docked points off for me: Mengmengs motive not so convincing and not fleshed out, parents story dragged on for slightly too long and being repetitive and also there was no closure on why they were in the time loop and why XHYs health was deteriorating after every loop. I guess I felt the writers could have made better use of the time, and I felt episode 14 would have been where they could have made the changes. Even so, it was definitely a good watch, I really enjoyed it a lot and absolutely loved the partnership and romance between the main leads!
