I have yet to start. How is the romance? The trailer made it seem like it is very sad. Do they end up together?…
It's sad, sometimes I wonder why she is sacrificing so much of herself. He never saw her face so did not recognise her, and married someone else and was very good to his new wife because he didn't want her to endure the same tragedy his mother did. The FL had to watch that happen. Even though they had a connection that is more than he had with most people, it was still hard to watch. But it's a very good story about strategy and power, I learnt a lot about people.
The ending seems a bit rushed, but having read some of the commentary, I think I am happy that they made a story with happy ending for once, and not another heartbreaking one to torture us with.
I think this is her best movie so far, her acting performance was most befitting. At the same time, I learnt so much from this story. So much suffering, especially when one could almost have everything. Such is life... The story evolved beautifully. What goes around comes around.
Yes, the uncut version gives a better explanation why Li Cheng Yin did what he did. I became more empathized with…
Even with the cut version, when he jumped in front of her and was hurt by the sword, you could see that he really loved her, but how he killed her friend because he was jealous was just too much. They could never get back from that even if she hasn't remembered. So his character did two things in both situations; despite knowing what he went through and why he did what he did, the way he won over her Grandfather's trust, and how he betrayed them was just not ok. Especially the scene before he turned, when her brother and friend were shouting for him to come back. He could have kept everything "professional" instead of making it "personal" even if he loved her.
I know. It's so heart breaking. I love this drama so much that it took me forever to get out from it and move…
I think the last comment should be tagged with the "spoiler" button :) but I agree, even though the ending was as it is, I think he definitely deserved it.
Apparently I watched the cut version, why do they air an incomplete story? Now rewatching the beginning of the uncut version, it would have been such a different experience if I watched this the first time.
This drama is not going to air, Wih the whole Tax scandal from Fan Bingbing, the sexual harassment/rape lawsuit…
there is a law that drama's should not be longer than 40 episodes? i like that idea in general, now they drag on for too long and take too much time, i just hope that they'll leave out the unnecessary without rushing it like they do at times.....
Ok, I came back from work yesterday exhausted but instead of sleeping I finished watching it. The story is really good after part I, but part I made more sense later on, and was very useful to create the effects at the end. Did not expect the ending. Liked the couple.
The "no happy ending" thing drives me crazy. So many films and television series have been doing this in recent…
Yes! I really liked it but then they pulled that ending! Still, rewatched all their scenes together; can't believe the writers... The only good series with a nice ending is Minglan, you should watch it if you haven't yet!
There was a conspiracy theory about how she died, and our poor FL was a suspect. Very sad.
