can anyone tell me, when will the leads find out about Xiu Ming true face?? I just finished ep 12, and this guy disgust me alot that I keep stopping the show every few mins
The fking nerves of him, he didnt lose his memories (just like FL) during the 2nd trial when he went down to mortal realm tgt with the leads. He started plotting against ML who is his best friend and also emotionally blackmailing the FL. When the trial ended, and they went back to heaven, he still approach the FL acting all innocent and pretending like a good guy, saying all those things happening in mortal realm was his mortal trial, when in fact it was him all along
This was actually pretty decent for a mini-drama, at the very least, theres no time-travel or isekai shenanigans. Although I kinda felt they could have done more with the plot, and not squeeze the whole usurping of throne arc into the last few mins, especially considering the fact that it has a long runtime for a mini-drama, at 4h30min (most of these short dramas tend to avg 1.5 to 2h)
Alot of good kisses (not the dead fish, wide-eyed type) between both couples, which is quite a surprise. Love the 2FL, she was introduced as this stoic, rigid general-assistant of the ML, but when she fell in love with the 2ML, oh boy, shes always the one initiating the kisses lol
Happy ending, which also opens up the possibility of season 2
Biggest plothole is how the 2ML is suddenly the prince of a rival country, and helped them get back the throne lol
Sad that we didnt see the reunion of 2FL and 2ML at the end
P.S. FL is cute and comedic with her antics, expressions during the first 3/4 of the show but damn, gotta say, the 2FL is really pretty and bold with her kisses!
After Shan Gu Dao, the most hated character in the show is actually Zi Jin for me He just manages to be so goddamn annoying with those little minutes of screentime he has
He has the exact same mindset as SGD, insecure and always blaming others for his misfortune and problems. Always clinging onto LLH and QWM, even when both of them already let go of the past. Not to mention, how he pissed off QWM to the point she divorce him and left the sect, but he still think the problem lies in both of them and not him lol
Glad that QWM is a strong woman, especially in ep37, how she called him out on his character and hypocrisy and bypass his authority to search for LLH ( Its so funny how all the subordinates immediately listened to her when she appeared, its like they have zero respect for Zi Jin actually, and was just giving him face cuz hes the leader), divorce him and actually left the sect to find a new life

It feels weird inviting that actress tbh. Her screentime is mostly during the kidnapped girls arc and afew minutes here and there during the last few episodes
Inviting Estelle or Rain would have made more sense since they are the 2 female characters with the most screentime
Watched this few months back, was draggy, FF through FL lacks screen presence, and her acting was off, like trying too hard. I guess its because this is her first lead after alot of small supporting roles
Didnt resonate as much with ML character here compared to his role in Romance of Hua Rong
For me, 2FL stole the show, her character was so much more fun to watch
Honestly, didnt like the ending Im fine with sad ending, cause eventually she will have to go back to the present
But this ending is so sad in that, both of them departed on bad terms, without clearing the misunderstanding of ML's identity, which caused them both to separate near the end.
The ending is so abrupt as well, no rules on why she was suddenly teleported back to the future, and the ML is gonna reclaim his throne
Overall, its actually better than alot of other mini-dramas, acting is decent, chemistry is there, editing was also decently good, no abrupt cutting and jumping of scenes.
Hopefully, it comes out with a season 2, wanna see her go back to the past and reconcile with the ML and help him reclaim the throne

I think I prefer this to blood of youth This is a unique take, with multiple cases to solve, which prevent the story from getting stale/draggy
Blood of youth is basically the standard wuxia drama, a group of youths going on an adventure, so occasionally things get draggy, because nothing much is happening

However the drama has 3 alternate endings. Youtube has the whole series up including all the alternate endings

Ep22-24, is a short blindess arc with the usual romance sweetness but at the same time her suspicions is raised about his identity. Mid 24, she discovered his secret dual identities and left for home
The breakup didnt last long, by mid-26, shes forgiven him and followed him back to Beast Clan
