no, in fact, its pretty comedic especially the team's banter and interactions. Only during the last few episodes, the drama takes on a more serious tone. You will notice the tone of the drama changes with the FL's mood. Shes 90% of the time very chill and relax, but dont ever get her angry lol
wow, watched the SP, ZCL/WY/ZLY are gyming buddies way before they got together for this drama No wonder, their chemistry just flowed so naturally
But the biggest thumbs up is definitely the FL, damn, she totally slayed the FBB roleπ And shes like the baby of the crew, everyone loves teasing her and taking care of her lol
-No naive, stupid FL. She doesn't fall for the same sweet talk by her former lover -Revenge drama where the FL never wavers in her determination to get rid of her enemies, no stupid distractions -Easy watch, no angst, because the leads always winning -No miscommunication between the leads, both are honest and extremely trusting of each other -I like that the romance is reduced, and instead shows both leads naturally just getting closer courtesy of them plotting together. This in my opinion felt much more natural -For this kind of mini-drama, the plot is actually coherent. No weird edits or cuts and no random jumping of scenes
The first few mins was a little hard to watch though, the way the pregnant FL was brutally murdered by the villains
To me the lack of a big romantic outburst was completly understandable. You have to consider that she was just…
Exactly, the reduced romance actually felt more natural
These people are so ridiculous, expecting her to immediately start romancing in her 2nd life after she and her unborn child were brutally murdered in her first life which she still remembers vividly
TBH, I dont even know whats the point of this drama, when the 2nd couple have barely any screentime, when this…
Yeap, the 2nd couple felt more like guest roles than even supporting roles lol. This is why im wondering, did the agency of the villain actor paid alot of money for his exposure? His storyline dragged till ep 22 for no reason other than to get him lots of screentime
Fight scene, ep 5. For a second, i thought Sha Ping Wei is the 2nd main lead instead of General Yuan. Another…
TBH, I dont even know whats the point of this drama, when the 2nd couple have barely any screentime, when this show is supposed to be about the 2 couples.
General Yuan is the 2nd lead, but his screentime is pathetic. He only got introduced in ep5 and then totally disappeared from episode 10-22 except for few mins of screentime here and there. Same with 2FL, totally disappeared from 10-22 except for that 1 2 episodes in between where she visited the leads to help them out
They have so many good side couples as well, the Doc Liu and his wife, Jingtang and Yansheng, Princess and Ping Wei
But instead of expanding on their stories, and making a light-hearted romcom which is what this drama is supposed to be
The writer and director decided to focus on the villain cousin and his shenanigans, which dragged on all the way to epi 22 (the villain and his 2 sidekicks got so much screentime, almost rivalling the main lead couple), and just when you think you can enjoy all the lovey dovey moments of all the couples now, nope, they decided to throw in another obstacle for the last 2 epi
Honestly both the lead and 2nd couples, fall in love way too fast... Especially the 2nd couple, they barely had any screentime together in the early episodes and the next thing you know, they are together wtf lol
And we have so many feel good couples, why the fk the writer give so much screentime to the annoying pos cousin and his accomplice??? Im at ep11, and the 2 villains have at least double the screentime of the 2nd couple
Edit: Been binging, and at 16 now, the more I watched, the more pissed off I get, the grandma is shit as well, shes the one enabling the villain to do anything he wants and get away with it. Its fking annoying that they are always on the defense, didnt even see them attack or disturb the villain even once, expected much more from the leads, really lame man
how much money did the villain actor pay to the production coy under the table?? holy fking shit, his screentime is as if hes the 2ML.. The actual 2nd couple totally disappears in so many episodes, and when they do appear, their screentime is few mins only, like what the actual fk
Wait, but he did lose his memories in life #2? But as Li told Chu Kong, immortals are still themselves essentially…
I think he didnt lose his memories? Not too sure
They didnt show him taking the antidote for memory loss before jumping yet in ep3 and 4, the way he bumped into the FL at the temple, how he eyeballed the ML in court and tried to make friends with him under table, all these felt really suss.
Thanks for the reply though, now I can watch in peace, knowing hes not as annoying and disgusting in later arcs
Both Jiang Zhan and Gao Shen didnt have a good ending , while Long Zhi gets to continue her life
The ending was really anti-climactic, wanted an epic show off between FL and the Black Stone City, in the end, nothing happens zzz
No wonder, their chemistry just flowed so naturally

I am 1/3 through the drama, and the 2nd leads have more acting chops than the mains
This is why im wondering, did the agency of the villain actor paid alot of money for his exposure? His storyline dragged till ep 22 for no reason other than to get him lots of screentime
they dragged on the villain cousin story for far too long
The costumed poster looks so much better

you will be screaming at the screen
that childhood friend is nothing
the 2nd tribulation is pretty draggy, and its even harder to watch with that Xiumin guy being so evil and annoying
They didnt show him taking the antidote for memory loss before jumping yet in ep3 and 4, the way he bumped into the FL at the temple, how he eyeballed the ML in court and tried to make friends with him under table, all these felt really suss.
