My Jun and Sorn thesis should be a good several days listed now so i dont know how far down they are. They are separate. Jun's is under a spoiler because it is quite long and Sorn's is a few comments below that.

Most of the people on here are fully aware of what Sorn is doing and have thesis style comments regularly pointing it out. Last week I did a full break down on both Jun and Sorn and even with understanding, Sorn still sucked lol

With characters like Sorn, this is an unacknowledged kink that could be dangerous if left in the dark. Thankfully most people in the comments see this, even when they rage quit it.

Part of me wonders if Sorn functions like a symbol. He’s not meant to be realistic boyfriend goals, he’s an emotional storm in a suit, and Jun is us, the viewer, when we were young, inexperienced and a little too innocent.

He barges into Jun’s life with no warning sign, possessive, seductive and just self aware enough to almost learn, and I wonder if that's why we're rooting for them?
It’s like our shadow trying to seduce us with the idea that we can actually change the bad boy, but without actually changing the bad boy because that's what we found attractive to begin with.

Reminding us of a time when we confused hunger for love and chaos for depth. And Penny is the part of us that gets punished when we assert ourselves too directly. When we finally find our voice and tell the bad boy to go away, we don't need their attention anymore, we're vilified as whores and gold diggers. The next girl will laugh and rejoice in her superiority.

Sorn is like the embodiment of Jun's chaotic desire. He can't let go. That kiss, Jun pressing his hips into Sorn, wasn’t consent in the real world sense. It was dream logic, desire overwhelming caution. Sorn is the wolf he’s been warned about but part of him still wants to believe he’s the savior

You used Little Red in your comment (one of my favourites) and that's the perfect relation. The fairy tale wolf is all about unchecked desires and behaviours.

(Side note, anyone every watched A Company of Wolves? I based a college project around Little Red and my tutor recommended it to me and it's now one of my favourites. It's gloriously weird and symbolic)

Anyway - That tension, between control and surrender, between fantasy and reality, feels like a kink misfiled as a romance.

Thai told Jun over the phone to decide if he truly loves Sorn or if he just likes what Sorn gives him. So ironically, Sorn is in the car telling Jun that he can't buy him what he likes if he loses his job as part of his emotional bribe LOL

And the kicker is, if we saw negotiation, trust, aftercare, rules, it could have read as a subtextual BDSM story. Sorn really does teeter on that line of an 'Owner' relationship, but unfortunately Jun is unaware of.
I have noticed this dynamic in some other BLs too, so those writers might want to check that out LOL

So we get dominance without dialogue, seduction without space and red flags that would leave us crying heaps on the floor in reality. So rather than being kink positive it focuses more on the aesthetic, with all the danger and none of the grounding that makes it a healthy expression.

A real world Sorn would have us throwing salt and holy water in his direction, and then saging ourselves afterwards LOL

I havent read the book, but I do remember someone saying that Penny and June are not a thing in the book, so they really did just steal time away. I usually dont mind the side couples too much, and sometimes I have even preferred them, but this is the first time, I genuinely dont care, and kind of wish the director didnt bother with them. There was plenty of content to unpack between Jun and Sorn 😂Beard included 😂

We haven't seen Jun and Sorn waking up together in bed yet, so, my guess is Jun's bedroom for make up sex, and then some spooning in the morning since it's not Sorn's house, and he can't make him breakfast 😂
Considering Sorn's behaviour though, I wouldnt be surprised if a sleeping beauty kiss happens. He doesnt really understand what boundaries are when it comes to Jun.

I replied about an hour ago to another comment, that I am unfairly biased to Sorn and Jun and skip most of the other couple's scenes. Yes, they have plot of their own but it's to the point where I think, damn, you're so underdeveloped, that you feel like filler and now you're just taking time away from sorting out Jun and Sorn 😂I've never felt an attachment to them so I cant help but skip their NC scenes.
Another thing, someone pointed out, Oat and Boat get up close and personal. Fully comfortable with each other. (that kiss scene in the bathroom in this episode, they were pelvis to pelvis) Yoon and Punpun have that at arms length love making happening, and that's always a little awkward to notice, as a viewer.

I actually had to rewind the scene because I didn't even know what happened. What did he trip on? his own audacity? Man just stepped on the bed like he was about delivery a tragic Shakespearean poem of loss, and the feels just yeeted him to the ground 😂😂😂

I laughed a little too long at this 😂😂😂 even when Sorn was crying I was like, no babe, I dont like you enough to feel sorry for you. Stop making me pity you!

I may be unfairly invested in the train wreck that is Sorn and Jun and havent really cared for anyone else LOL Usually I dont mind the side couples, sometimes I even prefer them but I think this is one plot that would have done better just focusing on Sorn and Jun.

I admit, I may have skipped the Thai Champ NC scenes 😂I did however, see that last shot of the condom and lube and my first thought was, I wonder what flavour that labelless empty bottle used to be? 😂

Since this was episode 10, I think we got what I was expecting, a moment of wreckage followed by some tender flirting, a heart to heart and a nose dive back into routine because it took them to episode 8 to get everyone to implode in their dramas, and they just dont have the air time left 😂

Personally, I’d have made Sorn marinate in his own self-inflicted doom stew for a bit longer, but hey, they at least 'talked', eventually, after some psychological warfare and factory corner crying.

Full marks. I love that he held his ground and didn’t instantly crumble at Sorn's need to be the Lion King in every moment he breathes.

I’ve got two settings:
1. Real World Me, who would’ve filed a restraining order by episode 3,
2. Drama Viewer me, who’s like, well.....ok...he's just a misunderstood and undiscovered BDSM Top in love and now I feel a little sorry for him, I guess, but he's still an asshole. Just a sexy, unhinged one.

I remember in episode 2 I said, wholeheartedly, that Sorn was already drowning in Jun vision. From episode 1, he's been gagging to be Jun's 'Forever Sugar Daddy' and now here he is, in ep 10, upgraded from Soft Dom to Service Top. He’s possessive, shameless, and never more than two inches away from a poor decision, but I accept it.
It’s not my kink, but if clingy chaos was what the writer ordered, then that's who Sorn is as a character, and I get the feeling that Jun might like him that way too 😂

ive just realised that this is ep.10. We're nearly at the end. Two more weeks and my Sundays will be boring again....boo =(

I'll be interested to see if this humbling experience makes Sorn a lot gentler with Jun in general LOL
