Am I the only one who thinks that Boun looks different his face that is. I dunno if itβs the make up , Botox,…
He has definitely put on weight, which will fill out his cheeks. We haven't seen abs yet but even just seeing his back when he took his shirt off, he's been working out. I rewatch Between Us occasionally and he was very skinny there.
You know, I feel like this is going to get really sad. That's the tone it's following.
But despite that, I'm a little hypnotized by the mythology. The Sign is possibly my favourite BL and I feel like I'm going to rate this highly. I love this mix with native folklore. It feeds my inner nerd LOL
Khemjira has succeeded where The Sign, unfortunately, kind of failed. They relied on CGI, whereas Khemjira has invested in their make up department. That's 2 whole points for me. I'm more impressed with a human artist, than a computer character. The ghosts look dead, Ram looks like she's about to start singing Ferngully's Toxic Love (Sliiiiimme Beneath Me, LOL Sorry) and the Mountain God looks like he's a snake in human form. Loud Applause for the artistry in production.
I wonder why they started hunting Ramil's closest circle only now, since Ramil had been sealed away for 100 years.…
My guess is that perhaps this didn't know. Maybe they just discovered Ramil by destroying his family one by one. Ramil also mentioned rebel vampires being the one who sealed him, so I'm assuming by rebel, they kill humans. Killing them off may have led to his discovery as well.
The other option is that there's a traitor. Why did Methus decide now to put his painting up for display? Why did he wait to find someone who could help Ramil? That hasn't been answered, unless Methus tells us later he tried different ways. So my suspicions here would suggest a mole somewhere.
I'm so glad that they clarified that there are two timelines. I was looking at Yod's clothes and then the Lady's and her maids, and wondering if there was a mistake. Her clothes are obviously older than the 1930s.
Damn four centuries? Could you imagine being haunted and destroyed by a vengeful spirit for 400 years? I mean, girl, of course I don't remember you! LOL
I'm guessing all the characters we have were all part of that original offence, to tie up the plot.Yod's arc was just a sub plot, and example of how this Lady is determined to make Khem suffer in every life.
I have a weakness for exceptionally powerful characters who know unprepared their enemy is, whether physically or mentally, there's just something about a cocky m'fther who's about to wipe the floor with their opponent before they can take another breath.
Ciar sitting in like a roman emperor at a feast, casually counting the hunters and replying on the phone, 'there's 8 here' , may have me in a chokehold for a while. He's going to be a jealous btch but I think he's going to be my favourite character.
Also, do Jet and Missy know that Methus is a vampire? Because if they don't, it would be kind of funny LOL I'm assuming since clearly the hunters know Ramil was in the painting, I guess they were just playing along?
And that brings me to my last note - They DID NOT use Lillith again LMAO My poor princess just wanted to ride on top and suddenly she's the mother of demons for all eternity LMAO
I was wondering why Ramil was sealed in the painting, now I'm wondering if the people that sealed him were genuinely trying to get rid of him, only to end up saving him from the hunters instead LOL
Obviously the hunters have a vendetta against vampires, but it must be the rebel vampires that sealed Ramil., so that's embarrassing. They should side with Ramil instead before someone, kind of hoping Ciar, defeats them in a humiliating spectacle.
Vampires are a character I feel you need a high budget for, or they just look goofy. I don't expect this to be a masterpiece, and it's GMMTV, there's going to be spots of humour and fluff. I don't mind that. But that they've added such a antiquey grunginess to everything, and my little black heart is in love with that.
I feel like this could be slightly on the sadder side. I find when there's a darkness to the overall aesthetic of a show, the plot will follow eventually. Aesthetics will always match the tone of the plot. E.g GB was very bright and modern, and remained light hearted for most of the show vs Not Me, which was very grungy with an emphasis on poverty. Barcode is running around with crows (kind of jealous honestly LOL) so if he has some meltdown later, I won't be surprised.
Oh Honey Buns, Worradej was a quiet virgin, and you are a 21st century queer baddie. You probably turned that boy inside out, and you immediately want to leave upon waking LOL
Listen, Kosol is about to lay down everything from now on LOL
This is exactly the type of comments Golden Blood got when it aired. If memory serves me, the hate watch will continue until around ep 6 and then a random group of us will start making up stories of hidden scenes, cheerlead the doomed characters, and create perfume ads complete with soundtrack, to break the mood π If there is tomato juice in this I will never recover .
I havent seen Boun or Barcode from their last series and wow, how much they've changed. Barcode is all grown up and I assume Boun has muscled up a bit because he's got squishy cheeks now. Interesting start. I find my favourite BL's always include an artist, so let's see where this one lands.
Ohh, boy, it pains me to say it, but I've only just finished ep 3 and I can see how much of a mess the world building is. They should just have gone with an entire fantasy world, instead of such an extravagant 18th century european-esque style kingdom existing in modern day. That alone, doesn't make sense. They have airplanes to and from the country so the borders aren't closed? They have contact with the outside world and yet don't share their tech? Women still have no rights? I havent even gotten to the lgbt yet. I'm starting to see why so many people feel this is a disappointment.
