Ohh, boy, it pains me to say it, but I've only just finished ep 3 and I can see how much of a mess the world building is. They should just have gone with an entire fantasy world, instead of such an extravagant 18th century european-esque style kingdom existing in modern day. That alone, doesn't make sense. They have airplanes to and from the country so the borders aren't closed? They have contact with the outside world and yet don't share their tech? Women still have no rights? I havent even gotten to the lgbt yet.
I'm starting to see why so many people feel this is a disappointment.

I m waiting to binge this one. I am discouraged by the I hate grandma comments 😭 Noooo!! That actress plays the grandma in The Sign, one of my top faves.
Why is she playing the bitch? 😭 I knew this one might hurt my feelings but I had no idea 😅

I'm only 30 minutes into the first episode and the Londoners speaking with a thick thai accent is making me laugh LOL I'm going to start begging Ken to go back to Emmaly.

Characters are very important to me, and I've noticed that Xianxia's have a habit of destroying their good guys just to move the plot, to let the Antagonist's win for half the series, and I don't enjoy that kind of angst LOL

I need every supporting character to be smacked in the face with a bat a few times. It's the only way I am ever going to enjoy a Xianxia LOL

to be fair, she's a little annoying LOL but no, she's harmless. She can come back.

this is so far, one of those shows where I would actually kill everyone but the ML if I writing it LOL - If you're going to write some of the most twisted people. then give them the karmic death they deserve.

This is one of those shows that I'm genuinely loving, but really wish they didn't bother with the romance. It would not suffer without this insufferable love interest.

Blame his co-star and whoever made him say 'P'Dean!!' so much, because now when i see him that's all I can think of 😂
*He has a leading role coming up though, so maybe with time, if gmmtv is good to him, he can be released 😂

In fairness, there was an audible 'uh oh' the moment i seen him with the gold chain. Gold chains are not worn by good men LOL
Also, I'm in the middle of a cdrama binge so Tae disappearing into the scenery was not satisfying enough for me. I needed him displayed at the castle walls 😂

I havent watched a lot of cdrama's but those are just the two that I've seen so far, that just made me angry 😂
It's funny isn't it? it's all a big mock take of the genre, they've given me two ML lead tropes, one I love and one I hate, so now I'm conflicted 😂

It's just me really. I'll keep watching but we'll see. I am getting slight flashbacks to End of the Moon & Ashes of Love 😅 The whole abuse the ML for 35/40 episodes is not fun for me 😂

28??? jeebus, I don't have that kind of patience. I'm not sure I can put up with her for that long. It's the curse of the viewer when you can see both sides and that triggers my anxiety LOL I have legit rage quit shows that have dragged out misunderstandings like this for too long.

Thank you. It would seem, looking at his profile page, I have marked quite a lot of his shows already in my PTW list, so I shall pick another one of his shows after this one.

I meant that Bai Lu is well known in this historical style genre, and just by giving her the same hair and makeup, it just adds to the humour. it wasnt meant to be a comparison.
