'' Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun, Season Two '' is the long awaited sequel to the epic historical fantasy drama, with a change in the leads, starting the story a few years later from when the first season left things off.The drama does suffer from the time gap between the seasons, and that is not because of the change of the actors. On the contrary, the new leads do their utmost to flesh out their characters, even though Tanya felt spineless at times. However, the story was stretched too thin, and, having lost the momentum of the first season, the few action scenes here and there weren't enough to keep things intriguing and fresh. Hence, the drama ended up being blunt, with only Ta Gon and his family the main source of thriller in the series.
As for the love story, it felt awkward. Again, time wasn't on the romance's side, and the couple had too few moments together in order to be convincing. Hence, it could have been easily omitted, keeping only the second lead as the love interest for an idea of a love story if it was necessary.
Finally, the CGI and costumes were nice and the performances were enjoyable.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Japanese Drama " Barakamon " is a slice of life drama adapted from the popular manga-anime series. The drama follows the main lead as he goes from being a city boy to learning the advantages of living in a small rural community, something that helps him connect with nature and rediscover his art.
The drama does a good job of blending all the characters together and creating the right mood. Their relationship was strong and enjoyable to follow, from getting to know each other to becoming family.
The comedy, in addition, wasn't loud and allowed the story to focus more on human relationships and art.
The performances, finally, by all the actors and actresses in the cast were enjoyable, and the song fitted the drama perfectly.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Drama " Queenmaker " is a political drama with two strong female leads. The drama indeed establishes itself on its two main leads. Their performances were what carried the whole drama, actually, as did their personalities that complimented each other.
However, when it came to the story, "Queenmaker" didn't have much to offer. The story was basic political drama, with few twists here and there that were more or less predictable, especially when it came to the 'bad' guys. I should point out though that the start of the drama did offer some suspense.
So, overall, four out of ten for this political drama.

Korean Drama " One The Woman " is a makjang-action drama. The series starts out quite strongly, with the introduction of the main characters and the big mix up. It was funny and had the viewer frustrated over the family and how they treated their daughter in law.
However, the drama quickly went downhill. It got boring and predictable. The plot also felt dated with eye rolling twists. The action scenes were okay, but not enough to save the drama.
At least the leading lady was enjoyable enough to carry the show when things got too boring.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Korean Movie " Decision to Leave " is a drama about obsession, love and crime. The movie's charm is its oddness, with wild edits, strange POVs and magnetic scenes; a cinematography that trully steals the scene.
The performances were also great and captivating, especially by the female lead who was excellent. The rest of the cast did a good job as well.
However, dispite being intriguing at first, the movie fails to deliver enough emotion for the romance-obsession part of the film to be believable. And yet, that's where the movie should have exceled. Hence, the story feels flat and abstruct, with shots of the main character's life and a mystery that was partially presented. The finale of the film is probably its most intense part.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Korean Drama " Th King Of The Desert " is an anthology of stories that blend in together eventually. The drama has some interesting stories to follow that were well acted and gave food for thought, mainly on the question of money and what one can do to get it. Some of the stories, unfortunately, weren't as good as others, but smoothly presented nevertheless.
Overall, the series has the proper atmosphere, dark and sharp. The editing and performances were all great and feated the mood of the series as well.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Drama " Yonder " is a sci fi, dystopian story about loss, death and memory. The drama has short length, but does a great job presenting the story and giving it a proper ending. It is also well paced, as well as well acted, as all the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job with their characters, but the main lead's performances were outstanding.
The story, also, gives a lot of food for thought and it tuckles many sensitive and as well as existencial metters.
The cinematography, finally, is beautiful.
However, it would have been nice if they had explained the world of the drama more.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Korean Drama " Police University " is a predictable, boring, drama. The story has a nice start and some interesting characters, although the main one is so cookie cutter 'good guy struggling' that it gets the plot cheesy and full of cliches. The progress of the story has few surprises to offer as well and the action part, unfortunately, doesn't aid to the entertainment. The romance, in addition, is boring and tiring. Probably, the only enjoyable relationship is between the mentor and the young trainees.
On the other hand, the performances were decent and the actors and actresses did a good job presenting their characters.
So, overall, two out of ten.

Korean Drama " Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me " is a mess of a drama. The start is pretty nice, introducing the characters and getting the viewer intrigued by the mystery book, the girl's past, her relationship with her father, and some dark, bloody scenes.
Unfortunately, the drama has a messy pace, jumping from one plotline to another without being cohesive. The love story was boring and predictable as well, without proper development or any surprises. The story overall was disappointing, had some unnecessary dark moments that weren't explained, and the final conclusion that wrapped up everything was more than disappointing, turning everything into a fairytale.
The performances, moreover, were okay, but needed to be better at times. The main girl's character, in addition, was annoying and unlikable.
So, overall, two out of ten.

Japanese Drama Yangotonaki Ichizoku" is a melodrama about a rich family and a poor daughter-in-law.The drama is entertaining, even though it's over the top for more than one time. It has a lot of cheesy moments, cliche twists, and predictable characters, but it's a well-handled melodrama that has its merits and the fans of the genre will appreciate it.
In addition, the performances were also pretty great from everyone in the cast and that aided to the quality of the drama and the story as well.
So, overall, 6.5 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Inspector Koo" has a truly dynamic duo. Though, to be fair, Miss Koo herself is a delightful mess. But K too was intriguing and a complex character that, alas, was not well explored and left half baked in the end. But, first thing first. The main story is pretty entertaining, filled with action, and with an interesting take when it came to explaining the events in a theatrical way. However, things got bleak quickly and overcomplicated towards the ending.
The two leading ladies, on the other hand, were incredible together. They had chemistry and their interactions were something to look forward in each episode, other than their individual arcs. The other side characters were interesting as well, not matching the main leads, but being fairly complex themselves.
Finally, the performances were all enjoyable and great by everyone.
So, overall, 7 out of 10.

Korean Drama "Work Later, Drink Now" is a heartwarming drama about a beautiful friendship. With some romance, enough comedy, and the right amount of drama and tragedy to keep it real, the drama was short and enjoyable. It has a lot of drinking, yes, but it is more than just three girls having a good time. It has some crazy moments, along with a realistic plotline and a smooth outcome. The choice to add some of the previous moments of the three friends was a smart choice, however, it messed up the timeline and, sometimes, it even confused the story. Still, the dynamics between the girls were strong and that might carry the drama to a possible second season.
As for the performances, everyone did a great job with their performances.
So, overall, 7.5 out of 10.

Korean Drama "You Raise Me Up" had a comical prompt, but an emotional and heartwarming story. The drama does a great job showcasing the main character's downfall and struggles to find himself again and raise his own self-esteem. And that is why the romance takes the passenger's seat and, even though it has chemistry and some cute moments, it's not the star of the drama. The pace was, in addition, just perfect, with few flashbacks and a smooth ending.
The performances were all great, finally, by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, 8 out of 10.

Korean Drama " Mad For Each Other " is a short drama that manages to pack in not only romance and comedy, but also deeper issues that were all well explored. The story starts on a comical note, as the viewer gets to know who's who, and the two main characters get into one misunderstanding after the other. In that beginning, the male lead is more likable and gets the biggest part of sympathy, as the female lead acts, well, crazy. But, as the story gets revealed, slowly but steadily, everyone's actions are justified and the story turns more dramatic, enhancing into issues like dating violence, family dynamics and relationships, even gender identity. And even though the drama is short in length, everything is blended nicely and even the romance gets a smooth pacing.
As for the performances, everyone did a great job with their characters and even the side characters were enjoyable.
So, overall, eight out of ten, because the ending was a bit cliche.

Korean Drama " Mr Queen " is clever, interesting and original. The drama builds up the story slowly but steadily, using the comedy element to keep things interesting while doing so.One of the best things about the drama is the leading lady. The actress was spectacular, shifting from one personality to another with ease and acting splendidly in her comedy scenes. She also had good chemistry with her partner.
The male lead was, in addition, pretty great, dramatic when he had to, funny at other times and dynamic at others. He also acted the action scenes well.
The rest of the story was entertaining, with a nice blend of comedy, romance, drama and historical-political action. And even though the romance is unconventional, it was well built and had a smooth pace.
As for the ending, it wasn't perfect, but I guess it was the best they could do under the story's circumstances.
So, overall, nine out of ten.
