Err…why is Biying blaming everything on Wumu? She willingly accepted the mission didn’t she? 😪 I feel bad…
She's not a trained spy and is really in over her head. Not sure what ep you are on, but things will develop. Unfortunately, the way the female lead is written is a bit outdated, but she feels like a real human being and grows as the episodes go by.
I'm struggling to finish this, at ep 29. I feel like so many storylines haven't gone anywhere. What happened to finding the mirror pieces? Then it was that stone thing, then it was going back in time. I'm confused, and I'm scared of the ending.
No romance so far but some light moments between the leads. It’s mostly serious though given the WWII setting and spy storyline. Will have to see how it goes before we know any more.
I was worried this would go off the rails, but 8 episodes in, this has been a well-made period piece so far. I don't often watch C dramas from this time period, and it's been an unexpected good surprise in this new year.
This is surprisingly watchable so far. Honestly better quality than most even though it was filmed 8 years ago. Shao Tong is not convincing as an American lol, but it's impressive the show actually got real Japanese and American actors.
On the other hand, I think it's too high. The main characters are terribly written, they are being outshone by…
I agree, there's not much story between the main leads. Maybe there's something big coming down the road, but there's not much keeping my attention now that the Dream Shard lady is gone (and she wasn't all that interesting either, but at least there was still some sense of danger/adventure). Bingzhu and Pianpian have been more interesting honestly, as well as guest roles - including a child actor (the Taotie).
Looks like rumors of this starting are gaining more traction. Wonder who is directing and who the male lead will be.
