Anyone wanting to check this out, I encourage you to watch all the way to the end to make up your mind about it. It's going to be hard - the characters are more like sketches, archetypes and not really fully fleshed out. Love story? Virtually non-existent - it's more of the idea of love that this drama is depicting. This is largely a symbolic story (and trilogy if you consider the 2 other dramas that came before it) that unfortunately (for me at least) did not build or earn the message it was trying to convey - that love is the most powerful force and can truly conquer all.

I think mostly for me it’s the script that is the main problem. But I wish also that Cheng Yu would be able to act in a different kind of role in the future.

I know, I’ll probably finish it in the next few days just to get it done. I don’t review dramas unless I finish them, so I guess it’s worth finishing just so I can put my many thoughts that I have on this drama into words

After following him the past couple years, I'd say this is not unusual for him - I don't think he's the type that just goes from one drama to another. In one interview, he said he's aiming for quality, not just quantity. But who knows for sure.

Hopefully he can attend one the end of year events, we’ll see.

No official news. The strongest rumors I have seen recently was for Yun Chu Ling, but the casting rumors around that drama have been changing a lot in the past week or so, so who knows. It does seem like that drama will start filming soon - I see posts about open casting calls (I assume for supporting roles or extras), and the drama's official Weibo is live.

Finally, no more QC after ep 29. Let's get this final stretch going. Hopefully we get at least a satisfying ending to all of this.

Yes, I feel that dragon girl and Rumu’s story already ran its course, or it should have ended with Rumu’s father being defeated…except he isn’t yet, which was the first major failing of this script.

I did it, made it through ep 27, and you all weren't lying. I almost couldn't do it because of that creepy, ick QC. And WHY is Quan Jingting still able to plot things from his little prison cell? And who the heck is this Gulizan all of a sudden? Ugh, this script has lost focus. I need Fugui and Qingtong to join forces like yesterday and clean up this mess. Or maybe they really just need to leave far far far away and let this world just burn.

No problem! I think she did admire his brother (as an overall upstanding guy), but yes, nothing romantic.
