After ep. 17, I'm actually starting to root for the evil tree and fox 🤣 The main villain here is 100000000%…
At least that black fox had a reason for what she does. She’s trying to survive. Yes, through the misery and death of others, but man, I agree, I hate the hypocrisy of the Yiqi alliance probably even more.
All the reference to Love in Pavillon makes me want to watch it when I don’t want to. Is there a summary? What…
I watched only the first half, which was helpful to at least get the idea of what’s going on, but I think it was all the tragic stuff in the latter part of LIP that made Hongye the way he is now. I just didn’t want to watch all of that at the time.
I think filming is on hold since mid September. Does anyone know what happened after that news? I saw Vlog by…
Lots of rumors, no official news. Some say filming is done, some say there are reshoots or pick up shoots to be determined. We’ll just have to wait and see. I wouldn’t worry too much; I highly doubt iqiyi will just forget about this drama.
LOL those CGI spiders. 😂 but this is off to a great start - I hope this one ends well not only for these characters but this whole world deserves some peace.
Yep, Situ Ling is living in his own delusional world right now.
Yep, unfortunately he's written to be the clingy second ML. Unfortunately, I think he was also miscast (no offense to the actor) - I just don't quite buy him as villain material, and I fear that's where this character is headed.
Ming Yi has already explained to him many times that she's grateful for his help, and she's been clear that she's not interested in him in "that" way. Dude doesn't want to hear it.
Probably. We won’t know how different until it’s out.
Yeah, the production hasn't been great about announcing anything lol. We shall see. I'm sure iQiyi will take care of it. It's such a high profile production. They even made a special production featurette video of it, so I doubt they'll just not finish it.

The earliest this could be released would be in 2026. There have been rumors that filming is not yet complete and whatnot, so we'll have to see. I do hope it gets released properly.
Classic trope to have trouble communicating in this genre in particular lol. But yes, also, they are children…
Indeed. After all, it’s just a show. I just accept it as a part of the genre. As long as there is a reasonable explanation, I’m fine with these types of things. But if it get dragged out too much, it does become hard to watch.
