I watched only the first half, which was helpful to at least get the idea of what’s going on, but I think it was all the tragic stuff in the latter part of LIP that made Hongye the way he is now. I just didn’t want to watch all of that at the time.

Lots of rumors, no official news. Some say filming is done, some say there are reshoots or pick up shoots to be determined. We’ll just have to wait and see. I wouldn’t worry too much; I highly doubt iqiyi will just forget about this drama.

Yep, unfortunately he's written to be the clingy second ML. Unfortunately, I think he was also miscast (no offense to the actor) - I just don't quite buy him as villain material, and I fear that's where this character is headed.

Ming Yi has already explained to him many times that she's grateful for his help, and she's been clear that she's not interested in him in "that" way. Dude doesn't want to hear it.

This is has been such a wonderful watch so far. Well-paced, characters actually develop, and the world building is full. A great fantasy drama.

The earliest this could be released would be in 2026. There have been rumors that filming is not yet complete and whatnot, so we'll have to see. I do hope it gets released properly.

Indeed. After all, it’s just a show. I just accept it as a part of the genre. As long as there is a reasonable explanation, I’m fine with these types of things. But if it get dragged out too much, it does become hard to watch.
