Is he really dubbed here? I know he can really modify his voice into that lower register, so I'm not sure.

She has such a naturalistic way of acting - I love her here in a serious historical drama (I also liked her small role in Ripe Town).

Catching up on this. It’s been a busy Thanksgiving weekend for me. This is such a quality-made period drama so far. In every little story arc we get to know our characters more as well as the times and setting this story is in. It’s going to get messier I’m sure.

I wouldn’t worry too much. The fact that iqiyi released a special bts look back in Sept shows that there is still great interest in releasing this drama at some point. It’s been topping charts in recent weeks as far as anticipated dramas go, so it will be finished at some point and released (unless iqiyi completely falls apart as a company).

To me, there seem to have been issues with the production for sure, but I don’t think anyone knows for certain what has been going on. I wouldn’t believe all the stuff you see online.

For now, we’ll just have to stay tuned.

Same. Although, I see rumors of a new endorsement coming soon, so hopefully soon more and more news of him! I'm also hoping to get more news about this drama.

Ep 1 was pretty gripping - the entertainment industry in any country truly can be a dark place.

I believe Deng Wei is tentatively scheduled to attend iQiyi's Scream Night in Macau on Dec 6. His official fan club posted recently.

They’re both very good looking but in different ways! ❤️

It's very draggy in places. And I wasn't particularly drawn in by the main leads' romance. But there's a reasonably exciting climax to ep 30 or so. After that, it's just redundant to me.

Catching up on this now. I find one of the most interesting dynamics in this whole show has been between Wei Yun and Gu Chusheng. And thankfully in the last twenties episodes, it features more of their scenes together.
