3 episodes to go for me, and I am really liking how all the story strands are coming together. The supporting characters are thoughtfully developed, as their stories also are relevant to the greater story being told. Wonder what other poop Dun Tian is going to stir up nearing the end.

Wow, end of ep 37. I haven't teared up watching a drama in a long time.

As mentioned, the flashback arc ends around ep 8, and it is an essential arc that will be recalled upon many times at various points in the drama.

Who hasn't regretted something in their lives and wanted to turn back time to go back to the point they wanted to correct/change? But even Su Yu recognizes that the horrible price Dun Tian wants to take to enact his plan to "restart" is horrifying. This drama is reminding us to treasure what we have in the present. The past is gone, and the future is uncertain (we can never know the future).

Taking a break at ep36. Interesting to see Dun Tian show his true self.

Ep 34: Su Yu's delusional state - laughable and sad at the same time.

Ep 33: slowly, slowly, SYS is regaining himself, his full self. Love the scene with his original disciples, standing up for them.

I’m glad they kept his character and personality consistent with the beginning. He’s always been intelligent and ambitious.
