it is still on iqiyi's platforms both intl and domestic and the reservations are apparently still open.https://www.iqiyi.com/v_1krgtsya1mo.htmliq.com/album/云起时-2025-11xjieaye91?lang=en_us
There's an iQIYI World Conference next week (4/23). Maybe there will be info then, which would offer some hope for this airing at a decent time in the near future lol. If nothing, I would assume this one is shelved.
Best 2 eps yet of this painting arc. Gets a bit philosophical too. What is real to us vs illusion and the inevitable…
Ah, we also finally meet Prince Xinan. Too bad he could not escape his fate, but even in the real world, it was already too late for him.
Interesting that the moon seems to be the key to awaking from the spell. Also looking forward to see how they break free from the painting. The little bugs will be important no doubt.
This sand demon gets on my nerves though - time for him to go bye-bye
Best 2 eps yet of this painting arc. Gets a bit philosophical too. What is real to us vs illusion and the inevitable passage of time. Very fitting to make this illusion-painting world the opposite of what reality is.
1. Everyone sucked into a painting has opposite personalities.2. Humans bleed but everything else turns into ink.3.…
I had noticed that beggar and thought, yeah, that lingering shot on him must not be accidental.
I guess the only humans that would bleed red blood are those who were sucked into the painting (real humans from the real world) - hence why XY insists on trying to make the people bleed from the 6 places he's trying to visit (I forget what they are called collectively).
I saw this drama through Instagram and it seems our actor Han Dong is a villain again?
I’m only on ep 17, and yes, I guess Han Dong is the villain, but he’s a pretty charismatic one lol. He’s rocking his outfits and strutting around like he owns the world. I’m not sure if it’s really true all he wants is to rule the world, because it would be great if he had more depth to him. The actor is capable of much more complex roles but oh well. Will have to watch to the end I guess to see.
I’m watching on Viki, which is delayed a bit and I’m behind as it is since I’m watching Demon Hunter’s Romance at the same time. Hoped the subs come soon
Makes sense, and I was wondering about that just now as I watched the previews.
Yeah, I think this arc may wrap up the finding her parents storyline, but as some have guessed, we may have just encountered the big bad in the “uncle” character. I could be totally off base, but with the SFL also entering the story now, I think the story will develop further.
Kind of slowish build up for the paper demon arc, but I'm liking the bits of comedy that are finally showing up here and there. Looking forward to how the fake portrait world story plays out. Wonder if Sima Lingying will help them or someone else.
Side note: "Uncle" has villain written all over him, but I hope we get more surprises in the second half. If he turns out to be the ultimate baddie, I hope it's a satisfying build up to the climax.
