I’m guessing it would be May based on the progress of the sets. Apparently there is another iqiyi conference next week, so maybe an announcement then???
I am so annoyed at myself, because for some strange reason I am not connecting to the drama that much.Even though…
Yeah, I think I would love this more if it kept to the darker eerie vibe I was getting with the beginning arc (the owl demon). I feel the script likes to wax a bit too sentimental at times. The alternative (if it wants to keep things a bit lighter) would be to add more humor. But it’s still fun for me to keep watching.
Entering soon into the 2nd half of the drama. Our leads have grown closer, but mysteries remain. Why can't XY go to the Underground City? And will Banxia find her father? And when will we meet her fiance?
Random thoughts: those looking for an edgy, super passionate romance - this is not that type of show. It's a slow burn (which I'm all for) and a very wholesome relationship so far, naturally progressing from stranger to friend to...maybe more?
The biggest draw to me are actually the various stories so far - the script is well-layered and goes a bit deeper than usual to develop themes the overall story wants to explore. The attention to detail in bringing it to life visually is also really neat: the combo of almost too campy 80s/90s horror/creepy with the enchanting sound/music design and a shade of darkness/eeriness is the combo I didn't know I wanted to see before lol.
Yeah I’m enjoying the deeper layers explored in these stories. Some manipulative, toxic relationships we’ve seen so far! But such are humans (not to this extreme usually, thankfully), complicated and messy. But yeah, this inn needs to be buried under the mountain for good. If it weren’t creepy, it actually looks like a nice mountain get away.
