Its old tho (2011) but it has aged well. Joseon version of Romeo and Juliet , very intense drama. For me its my fav historical romance drama , but there is a big chance My Dearest will take TPM’s place for me… i watched TPM first time same year it aired , and until now its still unbeatable for me , but as I Said …that might change (after 13 years …)

No but many other guys has a crush on her because of her beauty. The SML tho I think felt for a minute attracted to her , as they were about to kiss but he stopped in last second . He’s not in love with her, the one he loves is the SFL (and SFL loves him too)

Gosh by now I’m so in love with Jang Hyun, such a complex but wise/realistic character, he is not some idealist, which I love. Namkoong min this is my first drama of him , and definitely not my last! This guy might not be some classic pretty oppa looking boy, but he is sexy here and so manly !! And i feel for his character here so much more than for many other MLs in other historical dramas even if they have those super pretty youthful faces. I think i prefer MLs like Jang Hyun, with mature faces that show they been through a lot and know how life works realistically, they don’t try to sugarcoat anything

What worries me is that since this is split into 2 parts, part 2 might not Do as well in viewership/ratings …if it will take about 1 month until part 2 airs (which is pretty long time) some people might have lost interest in this drama and moved on to other dramas instead , or simply forgot about this drama. . I’m not sure dividing this into 2 parts is so smart?? But at the end of the day , the makers of this drama know What they are doing I guess, and they have concluded that doing part 2 with 1 month waiting is the best option

I just love How this drama is not obsessed about having the actors look pretty no matter what even during wars, the make up artists did great making the actors look dirty/ messy during the tough times, so realistic! No way people looked like pretty dolls with perfect shiny skin, fresh clean beautiful hair and being full of make up during wars.

I’m also dissapointed. The book trailers looked way better , more raw and gritty with full of emotions and sexual tension.. the book trailers made me feel so many things , the chemistry and intensity took my breath way …but the trailers with the recast actors make me feel… empty :/ but i’m still holding hope that it’ll be much better than i expected

The way you write and are able to express yourself in such a masterpiece way - wow ! You should become a author or something … i could never in million years write as good as you

Not too much Palace politics , since the main leads are not of royalty. But its still there yes, because of war. I don’t think there exist one single Joseon drama without politics talk …

This drama is very good from the start , but its in ep 4 i fell completely in love with this drama. I was holding my breath from start to finish, That’s how good ep 4 was , I didnt want it to end! For me , so far this drama is a 10/10 of high quality with acting on the best level (meaning no idol actors …. Not that all idol actors are bad at acting ,there are great ones too Ofc , but many are pretty mediocre at acting ) .. this is a serious TRUE historical Kdrama , not a youth fusion :)

So…. My Dearest is somewhat a bit based on Gone with the Wind. Would be cool if they made a Kdrama somewhat based on Outlander 🔥 that sure is a epic show about a english Woman in 1940s (she knows about medicine and how to treat People from serious injuries ) who travels to the past, to 1700s Scottland! But its eh very explicit , so i think only channels such as OCN or Tving would be able to do it justice.because less censorship.

Anyways the first thing i Do tmr morning is watch ep 6 of My Dearest ❤️

I cannot wait to see Gil Chae soften up to Jang Hyun (be more gentle) in later episodes, for her to admit her feelings for him and let go of her pride ❤️ But Ofc, i don’t expect her to become obedient and submissive towards him (i don’t want her to ever become like that) she Will still be sassy towards him i believe :) just not as harsh/mean lol

I love this drama! I hope Yeon Jun will eventually stop being so obsessed about the safety of king etc, I know his fierce loyalty to the country wont ever stop and That’s fine but I wish it will be less of obsession and see more of his love /worrying for those left behind , Eun Ae and others

I love the main couple but I wish later their fighting Will tone down a bit xD sometimes the fighting gets a bit ugly. I wish for some lovey dovey moments between them , and that lasts like that and wont be ruined by them fighting again lol .. i Do love their banter tho :) and i loved when Jang Hyun was proud of Chil Gae for killing that awful man, he wasn’t disgusted or anything , like ”omg how could a Woman Do this!? That’s horrible!!” The preview of ep 6 looks so intense ! Omg. And there is definitely not something right with the crown prince , he’s suspicious

The drama is excellent so far- ep 4 was a masterpiece! The plot, cinematography, acting - all amazing ! We don’t know yet the indentity of the ML… Anyways this is a REAL historical Kdrama (not a Youth fusion that are mostly acted by kpop singers ) so this is more dark and serious/mature

Anyone know the ages of Jang Hyun and Gil Chae? I know Namkoong Min is in his 40s while Ahn Eun Jin is in her 30s… but they can’t be the same age in drama too, at least not Gil Chae… there is no way they would wait to marry off a woman in her 30s back in Joseon era, they were all married off between the age of 18 to early 20s I believe. Anyways namkoong min and Ahn eun Jin both are both doing amazing here :) Theyre both excellent actors and i hope after this more people will see Ahn Eun Jin’s amazing talent , shes quite underrated so far? I think this is only her third drama as one of the main leads, the other two being The One and Only (which got extremly low wiveweship) and The Bad Good Mother. I hope Ahn Eun Jin will get more famous, she deserves it especially from her role in here , its not a easy role

Yes!! I would love to watch a drama of their own , from when they first met until their old age. The grandma even sacrificed her own life for grandpa, but at least they got to die together - just like they wished, there is no more pure or more true love like that .. and when grandpa said yes lets meet as husband and wife in next life too - aww
