On August 11, the new historical romance drama starring Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin achieved its highest viewership ratings yet for its third episode. According to Nielsen Korea, “My Dearest” climbed to an average nationwide rating of 5.5 percent with its latest broadcast, marking a new personal record for the show.
“My Dearest” also doubled its ratings among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it jumped to an average rating of 2.2 percent.’
I don’t understand , is it 5,5% or 2,2% , which is the Official rating? Im dumb
If some give this low rating just because of Lee Da In’s family , then that makes me really angry. Why take the blame on her when she is not the one at fault? I hate it when people blame innocent people just because one’s family member(s) has done something bad.
Anyways Another amazing ep , so … Gil Chae has hate-Love for Jang Hyun ? Can’t wait for her to mature because o war!
Omg its out !? just like that ??? I was checking out viki app and saw to my surprise that episodes of this had been released !! I had no idea this one would air omg,.. sooo happy and glad that most (so far) seem to enjoy this drama :) i will definitely watch this, yay now i have 3 ongoing dramas to watch on the weeks~
But, there is no one Night stand even tho it says so on the plot? 🤔
I love that this drama will be a mature romaance with mature older adults! No childish stuff or slapstick humor! The original jdrama version was mature., i have faith this will be mature too.
They better have passionate kisses! Both Wookie and Shin Hye Sun are great kissers , so it would be a waste if all they Do is dead fish kiss/peck on the mouth.
Wookie has shown in many of his dramas that he is a good kisser , from Healer to Suspicious Partner..
Shin Hye Sun has proven herself as a good kisser too… Mr. Queen , anyone ??
Isnt it a bit too early for a a remake ? The original is from 2019, not that old.. wouldnt it be smarter to wait at least 10 years for a remake? Like i can totally understand Why they would Do a korean remake of Aishiteiru to Ittekure (japanese drama from 1995) ,because Aishiteiru to Ittekure is now outdated. but a remake of Somededay or One Day? Hmmm.. sorry if i’m being negative! 😅 well, best of luck to the actors, crew etc .. i might still watch this, could turn out amazing !! 😀
Wow I’m in love with this drama after watching the 4 episodes ! 😍 Kim so Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun’s chemistry is SO good!! And even tho Syaoan is annoying I don’t dislike her after we saw flashbacks of her… poor girl :(
Looking forward to ep 5 😊 now I have 2 ongoing dramas to watch every week, this one and My Dearest!
So… seems like it got very interesting by ep 4, maybe I should give this drama a try then while waiting for new episodes of ”My Dearest”! Someone Said Before ep 3 and 4 aired , that this drama seems to be written by a middle-schooler xD which does not sound good at all! But Im giving this one a try Anyways ~ and if its true that it seemed ”childish” at first , I hope it will get a little bit more complex / serious :)
I read spoilers about the ending in novel, I don’t remember the ending in details … but I didn’t like the ending and it was too tragic 😭😭 dunno if I can watch this…
I wonder if we get 90% of angst/I hate you/toxicity and the rest 10% romance? Lets see if I will hate Kanghan or not, he seems toxic af! But its cool to see Perth play a badboy character, when I saw him in LBC, i always thought he would suit in roles as a bad boy 🔥 i think he played a bad boy in the movie ”Tell The World I Love You”, by the looks of it (haven’t watched the movie)
Hot kisses = Not too important for me since they are high school students, but Perth is not afraid to kiss passionately thats at least for sure, he had many hot kisses (even bed scenes) in LBC - just 17 years old!! so I guess it’ll be a little to waste if we get not even 1 hot kiss scene here… ;)
Usually I avoid high school dramas because its been a veeeery long time ago I was an teen, and I fear I might not be able to relate to teenagers and that I will find those dramas quite childish, but this one I will definitely watch … it looks very interesting and not childish, and while I hate bullying I hope Kanghan will have character development (haven’t read the novel, btw How many novels are there of this?)
Also, its perth which was amazing in Love by Chance , Perth was the best actor in it despite being the youngest and his character was definitely my favorite! Haven’t watched anything with Chimon but i heard hes a great actor as well :) also another reason to watch this - The director and screenwriter of Sotus (which also has bullying ) while i do not love Sotus as much as i used to, its still special to me, it was the first BL i watched, i remember How much hype sotus got back then :) very popular and a classic now
Jang Hyun asks Gil Chae if they can kiss, if he survives the war … i wonder if she will agree to it - for them to kiss, if he comes out alive. If she agrees to it, it means she in ep 3 has come to care about him at least a little bit, to the point of not wanting him to die.
I know others Said it earlier , that this drama has a lot of common with Gone With the Wind. For me tho it took until second ep to really see the similarities xD arrogant well-bred FL who meets a mysterious, scandalous but dashing ML who seen and been through a lot, so he’s far from innocent or naive… she dislikes him , he however is fascinated/smitten by her… but FL has only eyes for SML, and FL who Will mature through war …
Im curious how she Will fall for the ML here! Looking forward to their complicated fascinating love story, by ep 2 I totally feel that their chemistry is so sizzling!
Watched ep 2… the ending of ep 2 - absolute masterpiece ! And loved the OST at the ending too , not some upbeat kpop song yay ! I hope it wont take too many episodes until Gil Chae falls for Jang Hyun. It was a overall serious episode but laughted at the part when the gisaeng thought JH didn’t have well-you-know What 😂 also i’m so moved by the elderly couple who’s been married for 60 years, simply beautiful. I really hope this dramas Will get bigger viewership in Korea, the second ep had viewership of 4,3% , i hope in the future episodes the viewership Will increase~
