Since many compares this to Gone with the Wind - I can say I like Gil Chae way more than Scarlett. Its been a long time ago I watched Gone with the Wind but I don’t remember Scarlett ever maturing as much as Gil Chae!

Besides that, I’m also scared that just like in Mr. sunshine - not one single kiss scene 😅

Wow this drama get such high ratings here and most seem to love it! I want another ongoing drama to watch besides ”My Dearest” and this seems to be the one! Also its available on disney+ :) and oh not so important but still cool its rated 18+, means they don’t have to hold back as much when it comes to violence and stuff!

Yes, one of the best Kdrama couples! Maybe hold a eye on the upcoming drama ”Destined With You” with Jo Bo Ah/Rowoon. About fated /reincarnated love. They met and fell in love during Joseon dynasty , and then reincarnated as Lovers in today’s korea! I have a feeling they have that kind of strong love that would move heaven and earth for each other too <3

Hopefully this will be a great drama that i won’t drop. I’m currenly watching only one ongoing drama - My Dearest. I dropped My Lovely Liar

I’m sooo glad We finally got a proper /traditional historical romance Kdrama… last one maybe was Bossam : Steal The Fate (2021)? I don’t mind Youth sageuks (I Do love ”Tale of Nokdu”) but there are too many of them and too little of proper/traditional ones nowdays. But i guess its understandable, since traditional historical kdramas requires more work / are more expensive …

Its worth watching definitely .. the acting , cinematography, plot is perfect. Yes there is misogyny but That’s to be expected. However , if you can look past that you’ll be up for a treat! Also, the misogyny is not shown down on our throats, its there yes but… ep 4 was a masterpiece and definitely Did show how capable, strong and brave FL is!

Ahn Pan Seok!! Enough reason to watch this! He is without a doubt one of the best directors in kdramaland. I wonder who the screenwriter will be ??

Yeah but The Red Sleeve still managed to get high viewership even tho everyone knew it would end in tragedy (because its based on true story and all) … but I guess because its starred by idols unlike My Dearest (as someone wrote earlier) more people wanted to watch… anyways hoping the rating will go up for My Dearest in ep 5 , it totally deserves that.. this is a high quality drama.

For me its a mystery Why this drama is not as popular as The Red Sleeve (both are high quality dramas) .. and Junho and Lee Se Young were not that famous , yet Red Sleeve became very famous . So, I’m wondering Why My Dearest doesn’t get the same amount of popularity

I hope Jang Hyun and Chae Gil Will have just as deep love as the grandpa and grandma ❤️

The same screenwriter who also wrote The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang (2013).. wow What a huge difference , KDSBH looked sooo cheap in everything , however My Dearest the complete opposite!

I’m trying to be positive , Just Between Lovers with Lee Junho (Before he became very famous) had even Lower ratings than this … it totally deserved way higher ratings, such a amazing drama (waaay better than king the land in my opinion ) , my point is … there are other amazing dramas with even lower ratings than My Dearest ..

Its pretty Brave of including a gay character in a traditional historical drama, especially since its airi g on public channel.
