Overall I really really liked it but I thought it could’ve benefited from one more episode. After the whole mess came to light the both of them barely interacted and when they did it was in a very detached/awkward manner. After they dealt with their partners there was very little time left for them to reconnect and get together. Felt unnecessarily rushed. I wanted there to be more time for them to reconnect and a bit more build-up to that final confession. Apart from that it was incredibly good but the rushed ending did hamper my enjoyment significantly.
I’m unsure how to rate this show. The romance itself was too basic and boring for my taste but the plot was intriguing and I liked the twists and turns (though debatable if they even made sense, still, it kept me watching).
Soo Hyun was the main reason I was glued to the screen. He was the only character that felt real bc he was flawed, uncomfortable, dumb and very, very human. He had issues but also the most potential for character development. He was confused and desperate and unfortunately made every mistake he could‘ve possibly made but at the end of the show he did come to the right conclusion. He didn’t get the guy but he did grow by realising that the things he had been doing weren’t good and apologized for everything. It makes me wonder what could‘ve been if Soo Hyun was the main LI instead of Seon Hyeon. How his character development would‘ve been handled and how he and Daon would‘ve tried to mend their wounds. I’m clearly biased though. I love complicated character relationships and I love pining, redemptions arcs and second chance romances. I also find Soo Hyun the most interesting character in the show.
Why does this show has such low rating? The synopsis and tags sound unique and interesting. What’s going on? I wanted to binge it but now I’m scared haha..
This show really was a mess. The plot itself had potential but the execution lost it. Tbh the show didn’t make me feel anything. Most characters ranged from mildly unlikable to mind-numbingly boring. Neither friendships nor relationships felt honest or relatable. I also think that the characters ended up on a pretty shaky basis for a relationship. It looked nice and sugary on the outside but speaking in more believable terms I don’t think any of those relationships will last for very long, especially Prim/Bambi and Min/Preaw. Imo it was too superficial. There was not enough authenticity or honesty to it. The conflicts and issues weren’t explored deeply enough and the messiness was chaotic, jumping confusingly from one thing to the next. The overall structure was wonky as hell. Feel a bit sorry for the actresses bc they are skilled enough and could’ve have taken the script to the next level had the script been good in the first place.
It’s been a long time since I’ve loved a BL show this much! I really, really hope that the second season is in the making. The pacing, the acting, the slow burn - everything was so well done, not to mention that I love stories that have a main story alongside the romantic development. I want more of that energy in BLs. Now that China has finally found a way to circumvent the censorship somewhat it has become a serious contender among other countries for sure.

I have to agree, especially with the use of the time jump. I’ve seen this happen a LOT in Thai BLs in general where the time jump at the end is a direct replacement for character development and growth which is incredibly lazy writing. After the hook up Jack decided they were gonna be friends but after a year it’s clear they haven’t been in touch at all and suddenly, purely by chance, they bump into each other and Jack starts drooling at the mouth. Then there is one sentence about how he is not triggered by the things he used to be triggered by anymore and it’s a happy end lol Ridiculous
Does Ter have a lot of screen time? I'm 100% sure I'll dislike him something fierce so I was wondering if the show would still be worth watching if I skipped all his scenes? Or does he have like 80%+ screentime?

I completely agree, the conflicts are weak and most of them feel awkward and artificial to me. As for the rating I think it’s bc this season has less than 4000 ratings while the first one has over 30.000. That’s a huge discrepancy so it kinda makes sense.
