I haven't watched this drama yet. I know it has a sad ending so like the King's Women, I am building up the courage to watch it because I feel like it would be really good. But, is this connected to Forever and Ever drama wise, I know story wise Forever and Ever is their next life, but is it obviously connected in the drama? Is there like a lot of hints.
Not even second lead syndrome, but Hua Hao was a lot better to and for Xing Zi then Jun Tai was. He always trusted her despite having good reason not to. Jing Wen was his sister whom he loved, but he always trusted Xing Zi because he knew what type of person she was, and yet Jun Tai, Xing Zi's lover for the majority of the drama couldn't even trust her despite knowing the type of person she was. He almost always believed Jing Wen and everyone else before believing Xing Zi, he always doubts Xing Zi. Not just once, but throughout the drama he showed he didn't trust Xing Zi's words/actions, especially between ep 40 - 50. Jun Tai was always willing to cover for Jing Wen, but when it came to Xing Zi... she didn't do anything he needed to cover her for, but Hua Hao was always the first to come to her aid.
I usually stick with romance when it comes to Cdramas and don't like the horror genre in general. I am 8 episodes in and I actually like this drama. I love the relationship between the male leads and I LOVE the female lead, I suppose you need to watch Cdrama that is not romance to find female characters that aren't remotely annoying or stupid (yes there are some romance cdramas like this, but not a lot). The first few episodes were a bit of a drag. I thought it wouldn't go much into the background of the main characters, but I like how the story is starting to focus more on the main characters now (around ep 4 and after) and less on the new ghost/mystery.
He's from Exile Tribe! Came here after going through the cast of a drama. He's from FANTASTICS! I am currently OBSESSED with his music, never thought to search of the members of the group, because there are so many people. But, he's an actor as well so I have to watch some of his dramas and movies.
She's so PRETTY. Currently watching her in Please Don't Spoil Me. Love her acting, her character is well written and she so pretty in both the modern day and costume, outfits and hair.
The script itself is so painfully cringe, this combined with the way this was filmed. I've seen the ML in another shown and and I loved him, so I know it can't be the acting that made this cringe. Just the odd way this was cut.
Chi Yi and Qin Yu are not the same person, it is like saying Jinzi and Ayin are the same person. Chi Yi and Jinzi are two different people with the same faces as the main leads, from two different times. Ayin clarified that Jinzi is not related to her because Ayin was the first in her family to move to Shanghai, so she cannot be a descendant of Jinzi either and Chi Yu can't possibly be a descendant of Qin Yu because in the timeline where Qin Yu dies, Chi Yu exists in the present day.
Chi Yu could have been attacked and pushed into the lake by anyone, it wasn't just in his memory, it is what actually happened to him in the new timeline. Qin Yu personally did not experience this attack in either timelines so Qin Yu would not have any memories of this attack. Chi Yu remembering the attack alone is proof enough that he is Chi Yu and not Qin Yu.
If Chi Yu, at the start of episode 30, the man who wake up from a coma right before the intro, was Qin Yu, or at least with the memories of Qin Yu, he would have recognised Husheng. He obviously did not recognise Husheng since he had to ask the old man who Chi Yu has never met in either timelines, who he was. Chi Yu isn't shown to remember any of the things Qin Yu would have or should have remembered, at least he is not on screan, so from what we see of him on this drama, he is not Qin Yu.
The open ending of this drama is about whether Qin Yu and Ayin would meet again. It has nothing to do with Chi Yu, because again he is not Qin Yu. Qin Yu did change a few things in the timeline, and considering that fact that he was an adult at the time Husheng was a child, and he worked closely with Husheng's boss, he could have easily sent a message to Husheng a long time ago about Chi Yu, and since Husheng is shown to be very loyal, he would have followed through the task no matter how far in the future it was.
This drama should have been 20 episodes. They dragged the relationship drama too much. I liked Guan Xin a lot at the start but I started to really dislike him when Lu xi came along. I HATED Lu Xi so much, not because she was the SFL, but because she played innocent and acted like the good guy in front of everyone. Everytime Xia Tian confronted her, rightfully so, she'd get defensive, and I hated and stopped shipping Guan Xin and the moment he started defending Lu Xi over the Xia Tian. I was skipping all of Lu Xi's scenes since almost her first appearance. She gave me the same vibe as the SFL from Lost Romance. The main leads had amazing chemistry, and their relationship dynamic was just PERFECT. I knew Xu Ze Hao was the lead from the get go just from their relationship dynamic. But I HATE that they didn't get together until the very end (last few minutes). They dragged Guan Xin and Xia Tian inevitable break up (which should have happened 10 episodes earlier) to the second last episode.
No, they are two different people with the same face. Chi Yu is not a reincarnation nor did he 'remember' the female lead. They clarified that at the end when they said something about seeing people with the same face from different times. It is the same is the girl from the past with the same face as the female lead, the one that shot the male lead. She has the same face but they are not the same person.
I found this drama REALLY cringe, especially because I kept getting bts videos of this drama recommended to me and I couldn't help but think what it must have been like to film ALL those scenes. It took me at least 20 min to finish one 10 min episode. But it was good, good acting, AMAZING chemistry and decent plot.
Honestly the ending wasn't that bad, was 11 episodes in when I accidentally saw spoilers for the ending and was dreading it. But, it really was not that bad. I have seen so much worse in Republican era and even costume dramas. This ending wasn't bad enough to make me regret watching it. It was definitely worth the watch.
He disappears from her time (doesn't die or anything, just disappears). Then the story starts over begining of the first episode (sort of like a reset in the timeline). She is on the bus on her way home and wakes up from a 'dream' (where she dreamt everything). The ML is back in his timeline waking up from a coma (with all the memories of what happened and all the character development making him a more likeable person than he was before), instead of dying, he fakes his death in his timeline. No one else remembers what happened. The main leads are shown to go about their lives and are not shown to meet again, it doesn't seem like they ever will. The last scene is of her getting on a tram in her time and he on a train in his, and she hears his voice and seems to imagine him opposite her on the tram saying something about meeting again.
I did not want a happy ending for this drama (first time for me), but I was also really sad that it did not have a happy ending. A clear cut happy ending would have been unsatisfying and anticlimactic, but this ending... idk.
I found him spotify when I was looking for the OST for The Long Ballad. I didn't know he was a singer, thought he was just an actor, had to search him up to be sure that its his name on the song. He sung the OST for The Long Ballad, he also sung my favourite OST from Who Rules the World (opening song) and A Female Student Arrives at Imperial College. His music has been recommended to me for years and I only just realised.
so the part 2 of this drama I'm confused.so Zisheng became ling bu why? and why was the FL so mad at him and they…
I feel like episode 55 explains really well why Shaoshang was so mad at him. I was really annoyed that she left him for 5 years. When the crazy widow tries to kill them in that episode, Zisheng asks her why she would go through such lengths avenging for a man that didn't care enough for her to be with her rather than try and gain status and reward. She tells him that he (Zisheng) did the same to Shaoshang. Zisheng would rather get revenge and kill himself than be with Shaoshang. He could have gotten revenge with the help of Shaoshang, but he did not.
Another reason why she left him is because he abandoned her like her parents. To her that is the most unforgivable thing anyone can do.

Zisheng took Ling Buyi's identity because if he did not than his uncle (the real Ling Buyi's dad) would have killed him because the dad knew that the descendants of the Hou family would seek revenge. This is what General Peng Kun tells the real Ling Buyi's dad to do to the Hou family, and he does this by mistaking his own son for Zisheng and killing the real Ling Buyi.
