It was really interesting in the beginning because it kind of reminded me of the game clue with rich people drama.…
Really? Wow, genius that you are, do tell us who's the mastermind behind this then? I mean I can guess what motivates that person, but I think they will do a very good job of surprising us about WHO it is till the last episode. This has so far been a stellar murder mystery drama - and somewhat of a black comedy as well.... I'm loving it.
The ratings dropped dramatically WOW! I don't even know if I've dropped it yet, all I know is that I've been focusing…
No the ratings did not drop dramatically - in fact they've been steadily increasing. 11% for the last one. OH, you meant the 'ratings' for THIS silly site. LOL Those meaningless ratings where haters love to give really low ratings just to 'punish' the shows that they diss LOL Yeah. This is definitely not a drama everyone likes, but it's, as I said, getting decent ratings in Korea and for it's type is very very well done. Acting, cinematography & music top rate - the writing is stylistic so not universally popular, but the story itself is interesting.
I'm not big on pure revenge dramas, and I'm way too burned out from endless American TV shows that treat 'romance' as some 'women's thing' - ie either too lightly, or as if a hook-up is the equivalent of real love. So no, I like my KDramas to have lots of real relationships in them - not just love interests but friends, family, etc. I don't want a male-centric drama cause again, there are a plethora of them everywhere. I've seen a couple KDramas that did it well, but that's not what I watch them for. So, hopefully this DOES have a more well-rounded character, and that there ARE good, 3 dimensional female characters with some sort of relationship to our protaganist. If not, I may very well drop it.
Can someone please tell me what "cliché" this drama had in the first 2 episodes because I saw a comment by someone…
Every single TV show EVER has tons of stuff that's been done before. It's all about how the writers deal w/said common situations that makes a show unique. So far, this one (which BTW does NOT correspond to the description, of course) has some familiar situations but we don't know the reasons behind them yet, and the treatment is different from what I've seen in other shows. It is NOT like BOF, at ALL... there's a mystery here about how the celebrity family operates, and what the connection between our radio writer & the 'top star' might be. Also, Mommie Dearest in THIS drama seems to hold something over both her hubbie & her son. The doctor character intrigues me as well LOL So pay no attention whatsoever to those negative comments - if you like romcoms w/a slight family mystery & tension, this may be perfect.
So here is how i think the drama will end... Ji Soo will go study abroad, while Ji An and Hyuk end up dating(…
Are you out of your mind? How many of these things have you seen? Absolutely that is not how this will end. It's true, based on the track record of weekend dramas, that DK & Ji An might have one of those ridiculous 'resolutions' where they separate, & a year (or 3) later they see each other thru a store window or something equally stupid and infuriating (Looking at YOU, 1000 Kisses - GAG ME) - and which will put this in that list of dramas with horribly stupid endings - but no, I'm very sure that Ji Soo & Hyuk will end up together. These writers have the knack of hitting all the right spots for the Korean audience. I'm not sure about the kids, tho - the younger daughter & son. Love to see THEM together - personally I'd love to see ALL these romances flourish, w/a big FU to Grandpa there LOL
Is it just me who would want Ji Soo and Hyuk to not end up together? I would love that bittersweet ending. And…
Hopefully the writers don't think like that. I despise bittersweet endings in makjang dramas - well, I basically despise most bittersweet endings. They are usually poorly done, the writers use them to pretend to be edgy, and it just makes me want to throw things at the TV. Sorry, but if a writer HAS to pick a cliche, I much prefer a happy ending (unless I can't stand the characters, then I want them all to die LOL)
Pffft - not predictable, unless you consider that there really are only a limited number of plots available to any writer LOL The point of this one is just how they will drag that evil old man down (coupled w/the question of JUST how nasty he is) plus how can our hero dig himself out. In other words it really is the HOW that every show is all about, truly. These so-called 'surprise endings' aren't any more surprising than the so-called 'predictable' ones - it's just that the shocking ones are the ones that are horribly unsatisfying so no one thought the writers would go there LOL
Well you are in a minority LOL This is getting about the best ratings seen in Korea in years LOL Steel yourself…
Oh, dear. Look, sweetie pie - I made a comment. You & your little minions have continually attempted to ridicule me while completely missing what I actually said. I explained it to you. You then do this LOL as if that changes the meaning of anything. I'm sorry, no, you have not been polite to me at all, and you've tried to ream me for something that you didn't understand in the first place.
I'm in the minority as well, Andrea. I keep watching this show only because I've already wasted 30+ hours on it.…
Again, how do you think YOU sound right now? Unreal. You are another person who completely missed the point I was making, of course. This kind of post makes me want to do the exact opposite of whatever you are complaining about, in fact LOL
Well you are in a minority LOL This is getting about the best ratings seen in Korea in years LOL Steel yourself…
Good grief, this is a foolish post, Adnana! A viewership of over 40% is phenomenally high. If you are unaware of this, you know nothing of how that system works. Why are you even nitpicking? My whole point was basically that this is a phenomenally successful drama. That's a fact, honey. Why are you even arguing that? Being popular doesn't of course make it a good drama, but my point was that since it IS so very popular, the networks will be emulating that formula - it is what they do. So expect to see more of the same, for good or bad. ALL of you have totally missed what I meant LOL

Haven't you been keeping up with the over-the-top ratings this show has had? Over 40% So those who don't like it are ipso facto in a minority. How this translates to an opinion on my part to the quality one way or another of the drama baffles me, but there you are.
Excellent drama :D Very powerful. The writers did manage to wrap up all the loose ends for the most part so yayyy! It's a crime & corruption in high places drama, BTW - not a rom com - so although as usual for KDramas family/friend/colleague relationships are very important, it was mainly about dealing w/the crooked power structure.
OH, you meant the 'ratings' for THIS silly site. LOL Those meaningless ratings where haters love to give really low ratings just to 'punish' the shows that they diss LOL
Yeah.
