There's a reason it is illegal to use the public streets like this, YES. However, it's not a particularly dangerous situation. It's a misuse of public property ie a property rights violation.

And yet, he's offering to take the most meaningful (in this case) responsibiity - he offered to pay damages!!! IE take care of the medical bills which have to be prohibitive! I realize that certain people seem to think that the only 'justice' is public humiliation but this kid simply had NO idea that his indulging in the one thing he's in control of (his racing) could hurt anyone! Plus he actually tried to KILL himself because of his father's reaction on finding out! Sorry, but really he HAS been punished and he's starting to turn human. The only fault I have with Kang Soo's reaction is his turning down Jin Gyu's taking monetary responsibility, when Kang Soo isn't even family and that's the biggest problem here - after all Kang Soo doesn't know about Jin Gyu's situation at all - but for VIEWERS, WOW!!! Such judgmental nasty people! You do realize, all of you, that while closing off a road like that for racing is illegal, it normally is NOT life-threatening nor even that heinous - all those Fast & Furious films must glorify murderers I guess LOL

And WHY exactly did he refuse to take the money for his friend? What in the WORLD is up with that kind of thing? I realize it happens all the time in dramas (not just Kdramas) that these noble types refuse to be 'bought' but he's got NO rights to do that - he's not family and the kid IS responsible for the friend's condition plus has the money to at least take monetary responsibility!!!! So THAT just made my blood boil!

I am very much enjoying this. I've seen some of the American version, which I liked but not enough to follow all the seasons. THIS one has Lee Jun Gi, however, so already it's ahead LOL LOL and it also wrap up after 16 episodes instead of dragging on forever....

I must say, I'm totally motivated to go read the manhwa now after all the comments about it! I'm glad I saw this drama first :D otherwise I might not have enjoyed it as much :d

Oh, I agree totally with you - I just find it annoying when people can't differentiate their own likes/dislikes from critical reviews. You'll notice that I've not said that this drama is in any way a great drama LOL I simply enjoy it - although SOME of the criticism does not compute (ie, the acting is not awful, for instance, and the look of the drama is excellent). The story is full of holes, the logic is minimal, the direction all over the place - have no idea where the writers are going with this. Absolutely! And yet I really find it entertaining to watch :D

I'd say that not all those who like it are posting anything, if the comments don't seem to reflect the ratings on MDL. The same is often the case with dramas where the comment section is full of people loving the drama but the MDL ratings are low

But that IS kind of real-life. Maddening, I agree, but still it does happen - & he does indeed seem to have a history of putting his foot in it LOL

And yet there are soooo many positive ones as well... WHY do so many people seem to root for dramas to fail on this site? It is really disappointing. It's one thing to not like something, but you know what? I don't want any of them to actually fail because that hurts everyone involved in the production!

I certainly liked the 2nd episode better than the first - & JJ is of course just as swoon-worthy as ever LOL I laughed a LOT this last episode LOL
