Only 4 episodes left and I still don't know the purpose of the secretary character and the rich girl that…
What do you mean, purpose? It's that kind of over-thinking that ruins anything. She's got a slight purpose, to act as liaison between her grandad & our rich demi-god, plus to give some trauma to our lead - but what the two of them actually provide is a cute little sideline. I'm sorry if you can't see that cause it's pretty funny.

HAhahhahaha! xD http://www.koreaboo.com/news/bride-habaek-receives-lowest-viewership-rating-time/
Yep, just nasty. So sad. As for the rating, this is so very far from being the worst Korean drama ever - just shows how hard it is to predict success or failure with a fickle public.
On The Bride of Habaek Aug 9, 2017
I really am enjoying this drama - I have NO idea why it has such a low rating when there are demonstrably worse out there (Vampire Detective, anyone?). This isn't even close - actually quite pleasant (if you just let your mind drift a bit) & just watch the pretty.

Why do you find this funny, I wonder? Rather nasty of you in fact.

Title The Good Thieves Spoiler
Pan Soo really needs to tell his sons the truth before some new tragedy happens.
And that weak-willed woman spying for that HORRID woman - does she have NO brains at ALL????

Second lead syndrome is too strong...this is probably first drama where I'm really hoping for the main girl…
Because I thought (following the logic of the story) that he'd have to return & she'd end up w/the boy her age that she'd known all her life. But the writer's did an EXCELLENT job of reconciling that whole thing!

is it worth fastforwarding for Im Joo Hwan? did he turn evil? I lost it at truck of doom.
???? It's worth just watching all the way thru. Im Joo Hwan is of course doing his usual excellent job, but the EYE candy OMG - Nam Joo Hyuk is glorious & when he & Gong Myung get together for a night on the town in episode 11 LOL LOL LOL

It's pretty funny but I kinda get a love triangle vibe from the second ep so I might not watch... also haven't…
Wow, so if you always avoid love triangle dramas that must seriously limit what Asian dramas you watch....

I've been hearing a lot of mixed opinion on this show, but is it still relatively enjoyable? I'm wondering…
The special part? JOO WON....

Thank GOODNESS this is on Drama Fever - I hate watching anything on my computer & Kocowa doesn't have a ROKU app yet. I really hate watching stuff on the unlicensed sites as well....

Ah - I expect I didn't notice it so much because of blaming having to watch on a computer instead of my usual HD 42" screen!

I'm just wondering why...

As a huge fan of Criminal Minds, I was worried about this drama. I think they kinda of mixed a few personalities…
I watched Castle for all 10 seasons because of Nathan Fillion. Bones because a)I like the character of Temperance Brennan & b)David Boreanaz. I watched all of Grimm - cause fairy tales. I've not watched more than an episode or two of any other US network show in years. I have watched a few of the Netflix/Amazon originals, & do sporadically keep up w/Game of Thrones (having invested 10 years into reading the books/waiting for his majesty Martin to finish them, & realizing the ONLY way to get closure will be thru the TV show).
Other than that, nope. I watch Asian/Brit/European dramas - & mainly KDramas. I can't stand the way shows drag out for so long in the US :( Or stop abruptly before even finishing the story!

Before I start watching this... can any who has watched this so far comment on whether or not this seems episodic?…
It's combining the episodic nature of the US version with an overall story-arc that's more developed than in the US, I do believe - mainly because the Korean audience demands that connectivity.
Replying to BootyfulSwan Aug 4, 2017
oh i think i get what people are trying to say here, some people find it hard to connect to certain character,…
It is an adaptation of a US TV show - most of us KNOW who the characters are LOL & even if one doesn't, well, this is how most of the TV I've ever watched did things. Cry for us Westerners if you will, cause I do like fully developed characters & interrelationships, but I certainly can follow & enjoy a show like this one. And I predict it will have much better developed relationships than the original, simply because it IS a Korean adaptation.

After Stranger this drama is a joke...
Why? Totally different concept here. That's just a ridiculous non sequitur

I don't understand the bad critiques...
I'm not either. Totally don't understand the griping. I've seen a lot of the US Criminal Minds, & this is quite similar - with the added greatness of Lee Jun Ki LOL I'm really enjoying it so far!

? Really? I'm not seeing it - except that I have to watch it on some funky site since NONE of the major streaming sites have it (& can't watch on my TV cause, VIKI & DramaFever let me down). If anything, it looks a lot like most of the US crime shows I've seen....

That's true for most Western shows - reason I watch KDramas in the first place. Even when American shows try, it's forced (Castle, anyone? Except w/Rick's family. Bones manages sometimes to get it right, but still...) So far the crime story/ies are good & the personal stuff is more like the usual KDrama style (for this genre) so YAYYYY

Well she most likely will, given the circumstances.... Although I was wrong in One Hit...
