This has been dreadful. Not sure where the good reviews come from.
Oh, I didn't attack you at all. I simply asked you WHY you had the opinion you did. Plus you wanted to know why people had good opinions so I simply directed you to read the comments explaining that. How is that rude, pray tell?

However, the whole point is that the higher-ups aren't going to allow any of this to happen. I agree that it makes these 'black curtain' people way too powerful but that's the premise.

It's excellent so far. Don't have a clue what the problem is. Bottom line, if the guy had dementia, the corrupted types simply say he sent random money. They seem able to cover up myriad things after all. This has a lot smaller plot holes than 99% of the dramas out there.
It's been confirmed that there isn't gonna be any romance between the leads.Turn back, all ye romance-seeking…
I like romance when it is well-done. I don't demand romance. I've been a bit starved for good romance since I'm from the US & have had to deal with Hollywood TV moguls & their ignorance of what a real romance is (among sooo many other things) for most of my TV watching life - BBC shows were NOT that easy to get in the old days.
What you're probably thinking of is my posts pointing out that romance is no more 'shallow' or indicative of a poor show than any other storyline. I'm a student of literature (have several degrees, have taught, write some, been a critic, yadda yadda) so I've been subjected to this prevalent theory (one that I first ran into in the 1960s & which is still going strong today) that 'romance' is girly, marks something as 'written for women' as if that's the kiss of death, and generally brings the tone down, ie can't be serious then. THAT's what I scream a lot about. I was once told by a MALE professor that Jane Austen 'obviously' didn't write romances since her books were good.... Just insane stupidity.
So, no I do not demand romance in everything. I watch tons of crime dramas which most of the time don't have much romance in them and that's fine.

I personally think you not only have an attitude problem but also want to be the policeman of MDL. Who set you up as Queen here anyway? I made an observation about the predictability of certain types of comments & all of a sudden you think it's open season against me LOL Good luck w/THAT

LOL everybody else can be but not me, right? LOL I wasn't actually ragging on any one person - just on the predictability of certain types of comments, dear.
All the negativity - always to be found here at MDL LOL. It's like I'm psychic, how close some of these comments come to what I expect - no MATTER what the drama!
Did anybody else find the first episode really rushed? I felt like they tried to squeeze in too much and they…
No, I didn't. Totally like most crime dramas I've seen, Asian or Western. VERY well done (when I could focus on something other than LJK's cheekbones LOL)

Honey, I'm rather tired of people who get on these message boards and totally diss whatever we are discussing, then whine about getting called out on it. I disagree with you. Period. I see nothing in your post that makes me stop and think, oh I see what she's getting at. Nothing. None of your comments make any sense to me other than to say, oh this is just something YOU don't like for whatever reason. I'm not trying to force anyone, but I do believe you might be.
Now, the voice thing, no, I DON'T get what you are referring to, other than the director at times has obviously asked him to lower his voice to fit the character. You obviously don't like this directorial choice - THAT I can understand.
Do remember tho that the ACTOR isn't necessarily choosing to do this.

Well that's nonsense. You obviously do NOT like this genre. The acting is professional as usual w/KDramas (ie even not so great actors almost always get enough support from the directors/scriptwriters that commenting on it looks like nitpicking) - the writing actually has me smiling EVERY episode, cause there are these little funny gems of scenes. Which leads to the 'bad' jokes - whatever. Maybe YOU don't get the humor. Thinking you may easily be in the minority. As for our lead - OMG he's amazing in this. Acting EXACTLY as his part requires & hamming it up for us as well! LOVE him SO much. Hoo Ye is great, but hardly the reason I'm watching. And what in the world are you talking about his voice? Sheesh.

You unfortunately are the one being a policeman by having the unadulterated nerve to tell me what to say and not to say. I am simply stating my educated opinion about this subject. If you feel somehow inadequate to respond in a logical way to what I am discussing that is your problem, not mine.

There are soooo few KDramas that don't have any emphasis on human relationships - even ones where there aren't full flown romances at least deal with connections to people. Really. I really blame modern Western culture for this dissing of 'romance' as if it immediately lowers the 'tone' of a creative work LOL How silly - when I guess bloodshed & violence makes it all real somehow? Or that somehow 'romantic' relationships aren't 'serious' like a bromance or friendship? Sheesh. I see that you totally missed my point as well - KDramas explore ALL the aspects of human relationships, which is something hard to find in Western TV. Really.
