Oh, I have no problems w/Bong Soon going off to the rescue by herself - I'm complaining about her & her hottie CEO not having the necessary conversation about it!!!! And guess what? They've already tried explaining (badly) about why she lost her powers. It's stupid. Now, the writers could redeem this by having her lose her powers because SHE HERSELF thinks she deserves it, ok - that kind of puts it in the area of noble idiocy, however.

When a total psychopath can so easily manipulate her, then those powers are crap. HE'S the reason, total reason, that person got hurt. She needed to save her friend! So no, BAD writing - I call them out on this totally.

He did nothing to raise any red flags, good grief! SHE did... so did her mom BTW. Bong Soo should not have just gone off on her own like that - if she'd waited then her bestie would most likely not have been taken away. Our hottie CEO had good reason to be perturbed about that but unfortunately the writers totally let that slide into some stupid noble sacrifice stupidity :( Then the sorry excuse to lose her powers in which the guidelines set up at the first (ie ABUSING one's strength, DELIBERATELY hurting innocents) gets thrown aside in order for our heroes to be able to rescue the girl in the end :( THAT boils my blood!

I'm officially annoyed with episode 13 - yes, awesome she saved the girls etc etc - but OMG makes NO sense that she'd lose her powers because of the manipulations of this horrible evil man!!! I mean, she's accidentally hurt others before (our secretary & his butt injury, etc) AND felt bad about it. So this is total nonsense. Her mother lost HER powers for misusing them - Bong Soo has never done that, including this latest incident. The writers did a very bad job of this. And why should it happen anyway? For the boys to feel better about their weak little selves? Not our characters so much (our hottie CEO thinks her strength is hot!) but the viewers?
And on top of that we get the nonsensical noble sacrifice stupidity?
This had a well-set up lead-in to her figuring out she needs to act w/others as a team instead of doing things by herself, but nooooo, we don't get THAT conversation ~sigh~
So sad cause this has been an adorable, charming, well-thought out little rom-com up till now. I hope the next 2 episodes redeems this major oops...

The characters are awesome with believable character development :D I've not definitively dropped this for the same reasons you give :D

Platonic? LOL LOL LOL not if our Prince got his way. & he is after all her first & only love. Just because it's not consummated doesn't make it platonic LOL

I'm not bored with it - I'm disappointed in the story lines. & also with some of the blatant stupidity the writers are using to fill the story instead of, you know, creative writing. I really wanted to see her grow as a painter, how she managed despite the opposition from her society. Instead, oops, another sageuk full of palace intrigue etc ~sigh~

Well, then, manicmuse, I completely disagree with you about the acting in this drama. I feel all the main characters are doing a fine job and attribute the few annoying characteristics to director choices rather than the actors. The way you describe Yoon Sang Hyun's playing of this character would be the way the director wants it played BTW, plus the script. He's doing what he's told, or else he did choose to do it this way & the director LIKED it. I understand that you don't - have to say I'm not so sure I'm for it completely myself, but it doesn't scream bad acting to me.

Ah, Astrologist, my references, explanations, logic are all over my posts. Even the answer that you quote contains reasons I found her opinion inexplicable. I'm SO sorry that I'm educated, have been PAID as a critic, and enjoy having intellectual arguments where people SUPPORT their opinions. I guess a lot of you simply have no experience doing that.

Life made that rule, honey. It's just the way it is. Those who want to just rant or give unsupported opinions are free to do so. However, in order to persuade others to your point of view you really have to do more than that. Also, for those of us who like rational discussion, it's nice to hear why someone thinks differently from us. I have read some very thoughtful reviews of this drama that support Regina & others' negative opinions. I don't agree with them but I understand.
Also, despite disclaimers to the contrary, anytime one posts on these forums one is trying to persuade others (unless it's a rant of course). Even rants can be informative.

No - none of you HAVE to explain. Read my post again. In order to be taken SERIOUSLY, in order to try to persuade others that a given opinion has MERIT, however, you DO have to explain. Otherwise it means nothing.

You ARE entitled to whatever opinion you want - but when you say something so utterly disconnected to this drama, then FAIL to explain yourself at all, I call you out on it. WHY are you bored? WHAT do you consider filler? In what WAY is the story going nowhere? Those are questions that beg answering if you want your opinion to be considered informed. Otherwise, you are just ranting inanities which may make you feel better but just give those reading your comment the feeling you are watching some other drama.

I'm going to always get butthurt, as you put it, when people say outlandish things that disconnect to the actual drama, & which they fail to substantiate. Period. Call it the critic in me - something I've done professionally BTW.... It's not the opinion, it's the lack of reference.

WTF???? This is such a darling, sweet, funny drama - good GRIEF! Obviously you don't like this kind of story at all since you don't seem to GET it.

There's a Mormon one?! Here I was thinking I'd seen them all LOL I do agree that the Colin Firth one is the definitive version :D
