They could have picked someone else to play the main detective lead.someone more experienced... don't really…
Pfft. He's doing fabulous here. I'm loving this drama more than any others right now, except Bong Soo which is like comparing apples & oranges anyway. This is marvelous & I'm delighted to see Choi Jin Hyuk back!

Many persons seem so impatient then say that this drama is boring, complicated, with bad acting ect. Lol Guys,…
The acting is excellent - some people can't draw the line between acting ability, focus of the director, & script writing. What is being called 'bad acting' here is someone not liking the script nor the director. Cause these actors are all extremely talented.
This drama is edgy & not pandering to the mainstream as much as some - but I totally enjoy it so far!

I think sometimes this drama cross the limits, there so many mysogyny scenes, so many sexist scenes. Almost every…
Don't agree at all with you. Our lead is the opposite of a chauvinist - might I point out that he thinks her strength is SEXY? The domestic abuse being trivialized is the MOM beating up the DAD - which is not a good thing but hardly misogynistic LOL. & our 2nd lead being slightly old-fashioned towards girls (I draw the line at calling him sexist - he's sweet about it just not thinking out of the box) is going to LOSE him that girl!

I have seen a number of people getting upset that this "Adaptation" isn't following the same path…
I have to point out that the Bollywood Pride & Prejudice follows the book's plot very faithfully indeed - looking like Regency England is the least important thing about that book...
But yes, you put this very well - an adaptation shouldn't have to follow the original slavishily to be exceptional.

I truly love disaster movies, cheesy or not. I've found that I prefer the Asian ones (ok, Korean ones) - I've seen the one about a Hyandae tsunami, the high-rise fire one, this one, one about an epidemic. I think the characterizations in these aren't as flat as so many Western disaster epics, more emphasis on family (of course). This one made me cry cause this is pretty much what went on at Fukushima when they needed volunteers to go in & fix the cracks.

The acting in this is really bad so far (I'm on episode 3), but I really want to know what's up with…
Not bad acting - it's bad directing & writing you describe. These actors are doing what the script & director want them to do. They are all excellent at their craft - I've seen them in other things. Yoon Sang Hyun for instance - seen everything he's been in :D
I'm not annoyed by this so much but I certainly do see what you mean!

Goddammit... perfection... 10/10... better than Signal...
Not better than Signal - different kind of drama. But it's as good as Two Weeks which is saying a lot!

OMG ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! I WAS HOOKED UNTIL THE VERY END!!! even though not alot of people are fond of the ending,…
This was NOT a 'beautiful tragic ending' because how they died makes NO SENSE!!! Rain decides to take her AWAY from semi-shelter to a HILLTOP, then makes sure HE freezes to death first so she can die alone - yeah, BEAUTIFUL that!!!! OMG sooooo stupid. I just screamed at the TV. Honey, they sure wouldn't have died that way if the writers had bothered with character consistency at all. Just about the worst ending ever. And had nothing to do with it being tragic - that seemed inevitable.

Yeon Hee's betrayal is Min Ho's biggest punishment T_T
I do agree with you. The writers haven't revealed much about her feelings, though, other than she had revenge issues (good reasons for them). Did she really love Min Ho? Was he somewhat twisted even before her? He seems to have been singled out for abuse by his father & been resentful of his brother most of his life. Still, didn't much detract from the drama.

after watching 9 eps i really dont understand the hype behind it. it feels like a 100 word short story turned…
You said it was complicated, not me. Perhaps complicated isn't what you meant - possibly multi-focused. I stand by my critique, however. BTW, such criticism of a random opinion where nothing was presented to support your statements is hardly a 'rant' nor 'hate'. I'm used to doing reviews and critiques, also to grading such things from students. I'm certainly not hating on you - I'm pointing out that you show nothing in either of your posts to support your position. Ad hominem arguments do not help.

Are they really going to romantically match up Go So Young and Sung Joon? Major real life age gap! Really wanna…
It is extremely sexist to think an age gap is fine if the guy is older, that's what I was saying. As for looks, I was specifically referring to acting - ie if two actors are cast in roles where their characters are supposed to be around the same age, & they look it, it totally doesn't matter what the real age of the actors might be. I'm having a total battle over on the Saimdang page about this.
Now, if you are referring to Sung Joon's character being an immature shallow male user, while she's married w/two kids & lots of experience holding her family together, oh, yeah, those characters are miles apart in maturity so I agree about that.
BTW no way does Go So Young look early 40s. She can pull off early 30s easily - certainly could where I live. But that's highly subjective, of course. I tend to not look up info on actors/actresses ages cause it totally detracts from the illusions being presented.
