Did anyone else love Heo Joon Jae's stepbrother's part? His feelings were so conflicted all the time…
The reason I really despised that father was the way he just ignored or overlooked his stepson. I mean REALLY???? Nasty piece of work, was daddy dearest :(
I wonder if we'll get a sappy cliched happy ending? I hope not. I would like that sword to come out and him…
Well, not me. I'm very very tired of sad endings. If they can manage a somehow happy ending, with the two of them together in some way, that will make this a great drama.
And by the way, sad endings are often totally sappy & cliched. It isn't the outcome of a drama/film/story that makes it great or cliche - it is the way it is WRITTEN. Period. The idea that sad endings are somehow more real is just inane.
Oh, jeez, let the ridiculous noble idiocy start :( Good grief that mother is a snob! She knows the girl very well - if her son loves her let it be! I agree the stupid gangster bully is a problem but hardly unsurmountable :( This kind of character that refuses to OPEN her MOUTH to talk to the guy she supposedly loves is just like nails on a chalkboard to me. Fortunately we've the other couples to distract from this nonsense.
Heo Chi Hyun, Please DON'T be a bad guy! I don't know why but I really like his character and I don't…
You know, this old man is not a good father or a decent person, to allow some bimbo to manipulate him into abandoning his wife & letting his older, actual son leave like that. So him being a jerk to the adopted son is no big surprise. Poor kid hasn't a chance w/a birth father like he has, a mom like that & a stepdad wanting to just act like he doesn't exist :(
This is such a time wasting show . It contains lots of cheesy and silly scenes. Apart from that, Lee Min Hoo's…
Good lord, Mimonimo. So inaccurate. This is a lovely little fairy tale & LMH's character really is not very similar to any of his other roles, other than they all are romantic leads in romcoms...
I just laugh at all those hating on this drama - the criticism is all over the place! It's as if certain…
You'd be surprised - the nice commenter above you even admitted as such. The viewers spoke as well - K2 ended up winning the cable TV ratings game. My point of course wasn't to insist everyone love K2 nor even to dissuade those who gave reasons - if one person wants no romance & another wants only realistic action while yet another prefers a slow growing love - well all reasons those particular watchers won't like this drama (nor should they like City Hunter nor Healer...). Nope - my point's that there is not a consensus, except for the Yoona haters.
You fail to dissuade me from that position.
I just laugh at all those hating on this drama - the criticism is all over the place! It's as if certain viewers really just wanted to hate this for some reason (Yoona~cough ~) & pick things out of thin air LOL.
I'll grant that the plot was thin on nuance in favor of action ( as any action drama of this genre tends to be) - but it held together with a logical progression. The sweet little love story served to contrast with the evil stepmother's obsession very effectively as well as provide added urgency to our hero's revenge. Those complaining about the romance missed all that, sadly.
Anna certainly did not act like a weak simpering female as so many on this board insist - she stands up for herself, manages to escape many times & refuses to be intimidated despite circumstances that would have most people of either sex whimpering in terror.
As for comparisons to Yong Pal - this drama thankfully avoided the flaw that destroyed that drama - which happened after episode 12 BTW when the drama completely changed course
Best Scenes: Cloud 9 Yoo Jin and Seong Won conversations. Worst Scenes: Cloud 9 suicide, elevator escape, K2 only…
Just where did this drama lose its way like Yong Pal? It rather spectacularly did not do any such thing. There was solid plot progression without the sharp deviation seen after episode 12 of Yong Pal. The things you list may irk you & be valid criticism but do not support your comparison.
Am I the only one who was really disappointed with this drama? It started off amazing and I had great expectations…
Pffft. This was such a great action drama & political thriller-with well-rounded characters who had understandable motivations, plus a satisfying romance. Seems to me you either hated Yoona/Anna, disliked the normal action memes (invincible bad-ass hero, bad guys falling like nine-pins,etc) or shipped stepmom w/Jena as if that ever had a hope.
